He’s amazing tho he was somehow the only shining light in the woeful 2nd leg vs PSG, and was arguably MOTM vs Real Madrid. But he really needs someone on the team to outclass him if not he will end up playing way too many mins.

we should have put the game to bed mutiple times. yes momentum plays a factor in it but we had multiple chances to go up by at least one goal.

There’s no guarantee the camera angle of Bellingham’s goal showing the correct angle was there the whole time. They do track and move around on the sidelines. Regardless, it’s absolutely devastating having it go against us, along with a bunch of other missed calls

There is a video from that angle that did come out that you can find that showed that the ball most definitely crossed the line.

@@nirvana10111 I know that it’s been confirmed it crossed over the line. My point is that the camera angle that showed Jude celebrating later that would’ve helped see the goal line clearer could have been a handheld sideline angle that wasn’t there earlier

When the referee gets it wrong consistently for us and is supposed to get it 'right' for RM and PSG and no review is done then I will insist that we did not easily lose these key games but things were out of our hands unknown to us so we sit here and blame ourselves. Sad, sad , sad. The fact is with our FFP problems we cannot hire a so called top class coach so we need to get Xavi to help us out. I think there is a silver lining in this if we have enough patience Xavi will turn the team into something great.

Yeah!! You are so right. Tebas and la liga have to be clumsy in their rules and it's application in order to consistently help real Madrid out. It is really pathetic and wonder how Real Madrid fans get happy with wins like that and that of Almeria.

Honestly, the way I see it the board is just pressuring Xavi to stay. All this time they have just been waiting and waiting, not taking the initiative to speak to other coaches or to ensure they have stable conditions to work. I have been saying this since 2021, Laporta’s reign is just selling the fanbase dreams without having a realistic path to achieve it. So many directors/figure heads we thought were going to be here long term have all prematurely left and we have gotten too comfortable with Jorge Mendes running our transfers. I just hope Xavi is staying for the right reasons, If he is then your probably better off keeping him for an additional year. Let him continue to integrate young players into the team and let’s see what 24/25 has to offer once all the injured players return.

I believe we had alternatives to Xavi, however we cant deny it at this moment he's the best person for the job. We're a club built off youth xavi understands that which is why he's the barca coach to give debuts to over 12 youth prospects since his last year the only coach with more was pep. Flick might not understand this and want to bring in his own signings and at the moment we cant afford that so xavi is better off staying a next season or two and continuing what he built

@@JavaughnEllis I agree with you, I just really disliked the hypocritical attitude from the board. When things were bad they were rumblings of Xavi getting sacked and if that’s the stance I expect you to have a back up plan. Now that there is not a clear candidate they begin backpedaling. I want nothing more than just Xavi being in a good state in order to do his job, if it be at Barca or elsewhere

I get the argument that Barca fans may be complaining too much about the PSG match but you’re actually just brain dead if you think refs didn’t play a heavy role in the Madrid match lol

Simply Barca is bankrupt and can’t afford to bring a a Xavi alternative and that’s why the management want him to stay. Everyone remember we were playing crab and Xavi comes out and say we had a good game and I am happy. We barely made it to the second round in the UCL while we are competing in a very easy group, then playing against Napoli and PSG who are not a so great this season.

Dan, you can clearly spot referee errors. Maybe a majority of fans see several more than you do, but I think a plurality of fans agree with you on the ones you point out. But we also have to be able to see patterns. For decades, Madrid don’t just get a hugely disproportional benefit when you tally the more consequential errors throughout every season by pure luck. You say we get some we lose some… I guess that’s true if you mean 80%+ (Madrid’s “some”) vs 20%max (FCB’s “some”)… and I am talking about the errors from referees that actually change the course and often the result of matches. All that’s left is to apply just a dash of logic… in a sport that moves billions of dollars and billions of people, ran by corrupt organizations left, and right, the team that happens to be supported by all the relevant authorities happens to also get almost all of the calls. Have you heard of Occam‘s razor?
