Lewa is finally getting his touch back!

With Hector Fort’s emergence, I think we already possess our long term Rb. I was so impressed with him despite playing out of position. Fermin has bounced back in the last 3 games massively. Lewy does actually posses ball control, Gundo is a magician, Ter Stegen made that huge double save to maintain the lead and all in all the team played good apart from the first 25 minutes of the game. Peaking at this stage of the season is crucial, let’s hope international break does not kill us especially when likes of De Jong and Pedri return, overall the mood is much better now.

I remember you mentioning how Fermin is a bit player, and one of your guests mentioning that he isn’t starter material. I hope that after today’s performance all doubts are put to rest. This guy is pure class, he plays with Gavi’s intensity, and plays with Pedri’s technicality.

So many good points here. Xavi is slowly figuring things out and developing the ability to cope with adversity (not having X profile, losing players to injury/suspension...). My one knock on him today would tie into a theme of his across the season... his emotional outbursts, which get him carded and ejected at times. He has to reign that in. I'm truly glad to see Barca peaking at the right period. Hopefully, the NT break doesn't cut that momentum.

Fermin’s runs are underrated. Not only do they create chances but also help us not be so predictable.

Yeah, it was unfair to Lewy to say he was lucky. He shot a lot of precise goals in his career and had a lot of nice crosses. He's on fire lately.

Playing more direct and more attacking without sideways Pedri and no long-ball FDJ. FDJ has no real shot, no long aerial ball, and no penetrating through-ball. He pretty much adds an extra body on D and can evade... that's it. Fermin is not afraid of goal. Not afraid to shoot, to have one. As he progresses he will only become more accurate. Let Pedri heal and then sell him. Cubarsi has provided more deep passes than FDJ at this point. If we can get near 100m euros, selling him is a no-brainer.

The game was basically secured and he didn’t rest Lewandowski that was the chance that should have been given to roque to play in the middle and stop playing him wide
