I knew this was gonna happen. Specially since for Xavi to be kept as the manager....SOME players were going to have to be blamed. João is easy to scapegoat because they can always point to his time at Atletico. The truth is, he has been playing well. Also, people dont admit it, but many want to see these big name signings or players with talent to fail - that is the truth.

You can’t say that. Do you know how many assists he would have had this season? 11 Assists, which That’s the amount of goal chances he creates which weren’t converted to goals. He currently has 7 goals and 3 assists in all comp, it would have been 7g/14a. Hes playing as a winger and doing his part. Even if he doesn’t score he’s creating and y’all are overlooking all that forget we have other player who aren’t finishing their chances. It’s easy to point fingers at him but he’s trying and it’s going unnoticed. Dembele had shit stats but because he was a dribble and speed merchant y’all didn’t care because it was entertaining. In the end dembele had no end product. Fans are biased and it shows. Raphinha did more for Barca last season and y’all still wanted to sell him.

tbh thing is he has been the most consistent than he's been in over 3-4 years. This guy could have had both goals and assists in double digit, ie 10+ goals and 10+ assists. Our team has been so wasteful this season that he's looking average here. if we converted even 60% of the chances we create, he would be in the conversation of world best player but since thats not the case, he is deemed inconsistent. Truth is yes he should work more on the defensive aspect but i'd change nothing about his attack. He's been so selfless this season, balde, lewa , torres(Despite his clutch goals )all have been so poor in front of goal. Even felix hit the woodwork so many times. I hope our club buys him at a price we can afford
