Really a shame Yamal had to make room for another defender. It looked like he was going to have a much better game than last game

I dont agree with the idea that this was a “collapse” or we were “humilated”. It was a one goal margin tie and at the end of the day on aggregate it was 6-4, and we had PSG on their heels when it was 5-4 with raph and gundo hitting woodwork. It just shows the reality of a competition like this where one play can turn an entire tie on its head, this was a competitive match until the end and we fought despite being down to 10 men. In my opinion it was a very very weak red and it should have been a yellow or maybe not even a foul given how barcola dived. I liked what i saw from us given the circumstances though and up until the red we were in control. Lets hope we can keep this core together and reinforce the areas we lack in the summer specifically when it comes to the DM spot. VISCA BARCA VISCA CATALUNYA UNTIL I DIE

Its a humiliation. Xavi's approach to the game was all wrong. Instead of Attacking the opponents he tried to play defensive and let them have the ball. Parking the bus is not our strong suit. Barca pretty much scored with their first shot and got lucky. I'm happy Xavi will be leaving Barca.

11 v 11 we outplayed them. This result washes how Xavi was the better coach in this. Luis Enrique saying they would have won without the red is just disrespectful.

I am sad but in all honesty, moments like this (Araujo red card) in football is expected. The more pressing thought I have at the moment is the perception of most Barca fans hoping for Barca to do a miracle run. Barca is not the best team in Europe. Not even top 4 at the moment. Going deep in the CL was extremely important but what is more important is - improvement. After the 2019 season, the team stopped being dominant in Europe. Even though we've lost this tie, I think we've shown that we would be competing in Europe amongst top teams. At the very least, I am willing to admit that this was a progressive season. In terms of trophies, absolute failure but in the long run, there are some things to celebrate. I hope this is the kind of 'suffering' that will bring back European glory to Barca.

Xavi and his staff have done their job and i appreciate it, but i doubt xavi can do much more the way he is now. Maybe the right time to move on to next stage of evolution, both xavi and the youngsters in the squad

Despite Araujo's big mistake, Xavi made the mistake of bringing off our biggest goal threat and spark, Yamal. I would've sacrificed one of the defensively incapable midfielders and brought on Hector Fort at RB shifting Kounde to CB and played in a 441. And also would've brought off Lewandowski for Ferran for more press and pace on counter attacks.

When Araujo made that error i knew that it was the end. I am feeling really bad.

Thank you for helping me process this lol, the moment the match ended I haven’t thought about it until now

I think Xavi out coached Luis Enrique and without that red card we had them. Even with 10 players we had great opportunities at the end that could have at least taken us to extra time. Extremely sad while extremely proud of our team. So sad Xavi might not take another go at it.

He should’ve taken Lewy out. You’re playing a man down and need runners. Barca is not a good team without the ball. Xavi should’ve been more aggressive by demanding his team fight and control the ball instead of sitting back. It may still have been a bridge too far, but I feel the team should and could have done better. Araju and Cancelo made huge mistakes.

The problem with that is the strategy was to hit to Lewy and for him to hold it up, which worked well in bypassing their press last time. Without him we weren’t going to be able to do that, and that’s more damaging than having one less runner

Painful nights like this will only make glory days feel that much better. We probably have the strongest generation of young players itw. We are already very competitive and the young players will only get better and better, year after year. Pedri; Yamal; Cubarsi and co. Are the future of this team, not to mention guys like Darvich; Bernal; Guille Fernandez and Faye are still coming through. All we have to do is weed out the unnecessary contracts/players and continue to add players who garnish the squad either if their a young talent or a veteran. It’s tough because the ref was garbage and PSG are a team far from City or Madrid, but that’s just football. Visca Barca, Visca Catalunya ❤💙

This game has me rethinking signing Cancelo. He was solid until he wasnt and was responsible for 2 of PSG goals.

Araujo made the worst decision in his Barcelona career! What was he thinking?? No way he should make that tackle. Such a bad bad decision by an elite defender. Sabitzer was in a similar situation with Morata and he let him alone to go, eventually Morata missed. How can he not know that going down a goal is always better than going down a man! Ridiculous judgment on his part. He cost us this game and he failed his team mates. And Lewandowski, the least said about him the better! Very shocking! Fine margins! I cried 😢😢 seeing this match and I’m a grown man.

He has made a lot of errors in the past, but fans have a rose tinted glasses on. If you watch him without bias, you can see he is pretty average, no where near the world's best CB which deluded Barca fans claim him to be. His distribution is also lacking.

I was anxious about this and tie before a ball was kicked. Our depleted and inexperienced squad always left a feeling of being on borrowed time in the ucl. Lets hope FFP can ease up a bit and we can truly build a team so that we don't put strain on players trying to compete with the money clubs for much longer. We just did not have the depth or squad strength to go all the way here.

Weak red and Araujo at fault for committing when it wasn't necessary...

Now it feels like araujo should have risk letting barcola shoot. Even if it had been a goal we wouldnt have been 1 man down

In the build up to this game, I kept saying we needed to go with 3 at the back, and try to use our wingbacks to pin them back. In the second half of the first leg, they had so much succes with their front 3, and still, Xavi didn’t prepare for it. Why 5 man defense? In this game, with the back 4, they simply overloaded 1 side, and then switched play. This caused so many problems, as the other winger was completely free, just like the first goal

I will say one thing, Xavi was emotionally immature and the 10 players lost another opportunity to benefit from wise counsel from their coach in the dugout. And this is the guy judging Vini Jr for questioning the referees. He should take lessons from Xabi Alonso.

You know what, I’m proud of this team, I believe they still showed up this season. It was it the palm of their hands, a gift of life, but like anything in life, it get get taken away from you fast. They will move on, and I think this team mixed with new next season can make semis.

Barca fans must be proud of how far the team has come. The red card changed the entire dynamic of this game. As a sevilla fan, i believe this team will get better with time. De jong needs tutoring from xavi on purposeful passing and plays. A midfield enforcer like onana should be signed to complement the likes of pedri and co. If this team works on quick transitional plays they will win the ucl soon. Xavi can do it.

Its okay xavi needs to learn and grow. Barca is not the place where you do it. Pep was lucky he had the golden generation at their right age, which gave him space and time to learn and grow. Xavi doesnt have that luxury. You dont turn the world around with 2 teenagers and a bunch of 30+ yo players who passed their peak and a bunch of injury prones. If it is true that xavi got an offer from ajax i hope he takes it. Will be a very valuable experience for him

Yamal is taken out for Martinez. Xavi quit fighting. He sacrificed the boys who beat Napoli: Fermin and Yamal. He is a coward. Torres comes on and does nothing, as expected. Xavi is a disaster and he needs to leave. Need to sell the overpriced FDJ and his deplorable CL record. Man is a ghost and that's not just his complection.

Frankie needs a ball winner(CDM) who he can play off by dropping deep in the buildup play. We desperately needed Christensen in this match who would have solidified the midfield by breaking up psg's play and could have acted as a cover for the back line as well. But anyways Visca barca 💙❤

Time to move forward from Xavis inexperienced decisions from day 1

For me, Barca are not that far away from the european top. If they had stayed with 11vs11, they would probably have won the tie. It was just bad luck this time. Until the red card, PSG had no clear chance on goal and Barca dominated the first leg over many periods as well. And all this with all those injuries and suspensions. Also they did not crumble mentally like in the 8:2 against Bayern. For me, the future looks quite bright...

We have good ball playing and controlling midfielder like De Jong, Pedri and Gundo. Instead of playing to their strength and controlling the tempo, Xavi made them defend with their backs to the walls.

You're shattered because you're being willfully blind to reality. In terms of personnel, the Barca team that lost to LFC, Bayern was better. Shattered? Shattered that this team which had found it hard to beat subpar Laliga teams were beaten by an above average PSG team?
