And then did you see his celebration and kissing of the Pag badge yesterday? When did he ever do that for Barca? He absolutely deserves to be whistled and booed at home. Raphina finally getting thw hype ge deserves

This is FAR FROM OVER. This PSG side still have an extra gear and this Barca side needs to step up for the return fixture. I also have a few takeaways from the game. 1) How did Beraldo avoid a red card? 2) Wow, Fabian Ruiz was poor. 3 times he had space for a long range shot and he didn't even hit the target. 3) Only two players were subpar today (Felix and Sergi). Great progress. 4) Pedri, Gundo, Frenkie will be key to the next tie. 5) Mbappe staying quiet was due to the attention given to him. But it allowed Dembele to have space. I believe an attempt to close down Dembele may result in Mbappe shining. It's a "pick your poison" moment. 6) Vithinha is special. I wish we had him in our team.

I think Felix was actually good. He helped slow the game down, which Yamal really wasn’t doing. Cancelo was ok defensively, considering that’s his weakness, but attack wise he was solid. I do think this tie is still 50/50, and that’s mostly due Christensen’s suspension. I wonder if our midfield in the second leg will be able to support the defense enough.

Christensen made the right decision, it is very interesting for the 2nd leg to see what Xavi does with the pivot position next to de jong. Cause the 2nd option whom was roberto will not be available either. Do we play gundo and de jong in a double pivot with fermin/pedri higher? Do we play cuibarsi as the pivot next to de jong with gundo higher and inigo as the LCB next to araujo? Do we play Pedri and De jong in a double pivot with Gundo higher like we saw for a portion of this match? It is a very interesting question for xavi especially considering that we hold a 3-2 advantage in this tie at the moment. It also hinges on if pedri is ready to play for a full 90. Xavi I thought managed the rotations in this first leg as well as he could have, and this is my burning question for the next week which is how will he address this hole with both of our preferential pivot options unavailable. If pedri is not ready to go for the full 90, personally I would start with Cuibarsi as the double pivot next to Frenkie with inigo behind him, in an effort to stave off PSG's inital flurry and have us settle into the match, and then bring pedri on for Inigo and drop cuibarsi back to LCB. This would create a midfield of Pedri De jong with gundo higher, and will give pedri an easier time to get into the match since the level of physicality will have dropped. Lets see what xavi does though, love the podcast by the way Dan and VISCA BARCA VISCA CATALUNYA

Time to forget this match and focus on the more important final second leg!!! Go for an attacking formation of 3-4-3 Pivot of Curbasi? Gundo Frankie & Pedri as attacking midfielders ? Raphina,Lamont and Lewar attacking? Or we do a more defensive balanced 4-3-3? Time for the second leg focus as this potentially takes us to the UCL Semis then FINAL!!!

Kounde a warrior, raphina displayed a wonderful performance, Sergi Roberto came through. And Araujo and Cubarsi make a solid partnership. The whole team was ready for a war and it showed.

The emotions from this game was too much… I overslept this morning and was late to work.

Cubarsi isincredible and his playmaking passes only serve to demonstrate why 80-90 million pounds from Man United for FDJ is a no-brainer. Frenkie just brings nothing to the table in attack or transition (beyond dribling in zig-zags and too many touches) . The man can't make decisive passes. Cubarsi already has more crutial passes than Frenkie does in his Barca career.
