My truck was recently struck by lightning and bought used ecm just wondering if ecm has to match bcm cause bcm got hit as well they sell them already vin programmed just wondering if I have to program to truck vin or new used ecm vin thanks 🙏 for any help
I noticed this blazer is manual transmission. Are you doing this one currently? If so I was wondering if it would be possible to come and meet you and talk to you about it? I am doing a 1985 chevy crew cab dually swaping in a 6.0 lq9 from a 2005 Cadillac Escalade and my truck has the SM465 4 speed transmission in it also. I have had guys tell me that LS swaps don't work well with manual transmissions So i would like to get your take on that. I live up by clinton missouri but need a reason to go to Grizzly tool and Lamberts Cafe anyhow. Lol
Sorry just seen the part where you are putting a 4l60E in this one.
Will one tank run at a time and that valve switch it to the other tank?
When you bolt your lift chain to a cylinder head of the LS engine. What size bolt , threads and grade of bolt do you use to hold the weight of a chained Ls engine .
Thank you very much . It is a two piece connector the one with the wires and the one that's stays put on granny does the one on the transmission also pop out.
Greeting from Bangkok, I have a G20/5.7TBI/700R4 she still ran good with TCC lockup, THANKS,,,,,,
Hi Kasem! 👋 Those are great vans! We appreciate you tuning in! --Emily and Jerry
You guys are awesome! I have learned a lot from your videos. I was wondering if you had a link to the heat shrink butt connectors you used on these fuel pumps. Thanks
LOL U SAID BUTT 🤣 Thanks David! We're glad you're enjoying the videos! Here's a link to the connectors we use. amzn.to/4cRoBjf
Hello, I find y’all’s videos really helpful! So far I’ve got my ls sitting in the truck, wired up I have the fuse box and water reservoir along with the radiator hold down as y’all do in the videos but I am having an issue and was wondering what cable y’all use for drive by cable throttle body. Thank you!!
I have a question on my 350 trans with a blue plug lock up connection I guess but does it have a o ring because it leaks from this connection when I add fluid because it's low but then it leaks any advice?
Hi Jesse! Yes there is an o-ring seal on that connector and they are known to leak over time.
Hi , is there a way i can buy one for my 86 c10? Im doing a 5.3 dbw and i also want to keep my 700r4 till i save up for the transmission , thanks in advance
This one reminded me of my 78 4x4 Sierra Classic.. two tone...$8300 new in 1978
It's hard to beat a two tone paint job on these squarebodies! Jeff almost had this one painted solid black back to original, but we're glad he didn't! It's a sharp truck!
She’s a smoker😂😂😂😂…….but shes movin!!! Awesome job guys!!!
Thanks Trent! It's a sweet car for sure. 😎 We appreciate you watching our stuff!
That rain is coming down!! Man that car would be wild with a hemi swap
We considered it, but now we're leaning more towards an LS swap someday. Can't wait to hear what the Mopar crowd has to say about that! 🤣
@@UglyTruckExperience I say fuck’em…..go LS….its your car and it will be more practical
The Hillside Hemi!
🤣 Can't beat the Leaning Tower of Power! 😎👍
Cant wait to see how you're going to use that 4L60e and transfer case with the passenger side drop. Maybe its easy, I dunno. I just kept my th400 and np208 for my blazer cause it was my first swap
I cant keep my eyes off of that cool dodge dart back behind the beetle……i know this is a chevy truck channel but im channeling my inner AL BUNDY right now and that dodge is lookin mighty fine right now!!!
That's our '73 Swinger! 👍 It came home from a body shop, and was parked in a barn for 29 years before we got it running. We have a couple of videos on it if you want to check it out! kzread.info/dash/bejne/m3yD1o-PqdqaorA.html
Sweeeeet lookin k-5……my parents had a light blue ‘91 k-5 back in the 90’s and that thing was a beast….i remember quite fondly it having a corded phone in it!!!!
Sweet!! I remember my grandma had one of those corded phones back in the day, but it was in a Honda Accord which isn't nearly as cool. 🤣🤣 Thanks for tuning in, Trent! --Emily
Git yer ass out there and drive that sumbich, or give it to me.
Don't get it twisted, sister! 🎸 Torque specs are important! Grab a nice set of torque wrenches at a great price HERE! amzn.to/3RYWNlj
You guys are so creative with your intro that was perfect😂 I think that white blazer that Emily bought you has some potential if you have deep pockets lol Keep up the great work, you make it look so easy That little Pepper is turning out to be a great shop cat, she is so laid-back❤
😁 Thanks Jeff! I knew you'd be jealous of Jerry's new Blazer. I promise we'll let you drive it when we get it running! 🤣🤣
😂😂😂 love the intro. Sweet Blazer
😁 Thanks Bonkers! We appreciate you watching our stuff!
You got to grease your lift button pushing finger. It sounds horrible. 😃😀😎🇺🇸.
Thanks Dan. I love our Bend Pak equipment, but that hoist has squeaked from the day I put it in. It drives me nuts when I hear it. One of these days when I get a spare moment I am going to tear it apart and grease it again. Thanks for watching. Jerry
Great video, luv your style. Don't waste your time just git 'er done. Wish I was nearby, I'd take that motor, resurface the heads and lap the valves, add a stock Vortec cam and valvetrain I have sitting around, put a good set of composite head gaskets in (they will handle more deck variation than MLS) , put her back together with new hardware and run her on my break in stand up to temp to check her out. Done the same with all sorts of junkyard SBC and LS's and I've had many in worse condition just suck it up and run great for years, no complaints yet. Always someone looking for a cruiser motor with a little extra pop.
We wish you we're close by. Would gladly hand it over to you. It would be nice to see it go somewhere and be used. It wouldn't take much to make it a motor that could get some use. Jerry and Emily
These engines are phenomenal! The engineers really hit this out of the park. I thought the ex manifold studs broke because the aluminum heads. I noticed one of mine missing and I'm pretty sure my LM7 has cast iron.
Question: why aren’t the chrome pieces of gear I sent being worn? It was all because of this Blazer I got motivated to reach out to you guys. Sad face emoji. I still love y’all …
It adds to much horse power.😃😀😎🇺🇸🇺🇸. I like these two too.
I wore the chrome hat just this week while we we're gearing up for this video. Jerry
The neighbor’s Blazer looks awesome! Jerry- I’ll give you a grilled cheese sandwich and a $50 gift card to O’Reilleys for your Blazer… you’ve got my info! Let’s make a deal?
That's probably the best offer we will get on it.
I believe in you 👫.. it will be Fixed when it Leave's this Shop.😄
Another great Twisted Sister song! 🤘😎 Thanks for tuning in, Bernando!
@@UglyTruckExperience 👻
ROFLMFAO!!!! You can fix that blazer Jerry. It's just a little scratch lol. Some bubble cam and locktite and your golden. ROFLMFAO!!!! OH!!!! And I don't know if you noticed but there's a small dent right in the middle of the roof. Just in cased you missed it. ROFLMFAO!!!!
It'll buff out... 🤣🤣 Jerry's working on a plan for the dent in the roof, and he already has the engine turning over! (Spoiler Alert!) It should make for a fun video. 😁 We appreciate you watching, Hugh!
@UglyTruckExperience That's is awesome!!!! I'll be waiting
Wow!!!! That's crazy!!!! Yea im just gonna snug it up!!!! Some people need to stay on the couch!!! Great video as always guys!!!!!
Thanks Hugh! Yeah, this guy definitely didn't own a torque wrench! 🤣🤣
@@UglyTruckExperience ROFLMFAO!!!!
@@UglyTruckExperience, I'd say he'd never been within yards of one.
With a double roller timing chain. Is it required to run a aftermarket timing chain COVER for clearance

Best Ls swap channel on youtube hands down!!!
Thanks so much, Emmett! We appreciate that! 👋
@@UglyTruckExperience your welcome!
I some what enjoy soildering and clamping. Car audio as a young man was my passion. gaining wisdom and proper tools changed my life. lol besides just twisting and black tape.
Hey, the ol' twist and tape will get you home in a pinch! 😁 Thanks for tuning in!
K😂😂😂😂
🆗🆗😁
Does anything need to be done to transmission wiring? Reverse lights , Nuetral safety switch? If so a video would be great!!! 74 Blazer, 02 5.3/4l60.
Hey Rodney! If your donor was an 02, check out this video instead. kzread.info/dash/bejne/dYOD3Nx_eKaygs4.html This video is for an 03-07 donor, but the good news is that on your 02, you won't need to do anything to make the transmission work other than plug it in. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!
@UglyTruckExperience Thank you for your response. Does this include stall lock up?
Didnt you use an sos pad on the acrual paint in the 1st video?
Yes, there was a layer of white over the top that I was trying to remove. I like the look it has now, so I just don't want to take any more of it off this time around. Thanks for tuning in! --Emily
@@UglyTruckExperience mine has that oxidation too
Looks great! Idea for the plastic cover if your brackets are interfering with it. Slice open the front of donor piece and rivet bracket inside the donor piece the cover will sit flush.
Thanks Dave! That's a good idea. Our biggest problem with that plastic piece so far is trying to get that sticker off. We've tried everything, short of painting it. But I don't think painted plastic would hold up well under the hood. We'd love to see what someone else can come up with for it. Thanks for tuning in!
That was a corny intro.
🤣🤣 Thanks for tuning in, Josh! 🌽
Can you make me those mount
Inspiration at its finest thanks for the DIY help
Thanks David! We appreciate you tuning in! --Emily and Jerry
the air ratchet is certainly the most HORRID sound.
No kidding! We've been shopping for cordless ratchets lately. 😁 Thanks for tuning in! --Emily and Jerry
Hi guys so I’m in the same process with my project but I have a question about the system I’m not using a heater core
Hello Chris. What is your question? Jerry
@@UglyTruckExperience I’m trying to figure how to explain this so water pump has a hose that is a y off the water pump to the reservoir the same hose also goes to the heater core then it comes from the heater hose to back to the water pump can I just route it back to the water pump instead to the heater core because at this moment I’m not using a heater core I’m just wondering if will have issues cooling
@@UglyTruckExperience also happy Fourth of July to you and your family friends
Hey, I got a 64 c10. Where did you get the mirrors. I want to go back to that style but not sure what to get.
These were on it when I got it, but I think they call them west coast style mirrors. Looks like there are several aftermarket companies that make them. They do look sweet! Thanks for tuning in! --Emily
@@UglyTruckExperience okay thank ya much! Love the truck!
Have you done this swap in a 73-79 ford f150?
We haven't, but that would be pretty sweet!
Nice job as always! Hoping for a lt swap soon
Thanks Shannon! We'll have to get into the LT stuff at some point. We appreciate you watching our stuff!
Almost a million subs.....
Could I buy those brackets to hold the overflow reservoir. I put a 5.3 in my 86 k5 blazer
Hello Josh. Are you wanting the oem bracket for the overflow or are you asking about the custom ones that we make? Jerry
@@UglyTruckExperience the custom ones to use the oem res to the passenger inner fender on a squarebody
That kitten is living its best life! About to give the old single stage airbrushed areas of my van a similar treatment and stumbled upon this vid. Thanks for the update and sharing such a long term experiment!
