This is really quite useful to WoWP noobs, as it adds a fair degree of background info, and overall approach to all the selections, which you might be excused for glossing over, since the assumption is that viewers are fully experienced players. However, since this here viewer needs less assistance with WoT, as a new WoWP player, we think this is "Good Stuff".
I'm glad you think so. The intended audience is, roughly, players who are relatively new to the game and want to take the next few steps towards understanding some of the mechanics and improving their play. Completely new players will also find information of use to them, but experienced and elite players will, usually, not find anything new. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Thank you!

Just like always, you have the most detailed reviews of the plane, well done! I think that on tier 7 MFs can't impact battle too much and XF4U-6 is not an exception. There are much more bombers, HFs and LFs that decide the outcome of the battle. And when it's tier 8 battle XF4U-6 can hardly impact anything at all.
I believe there are *some* battles at tier 7 in which it will have a strong impact. I agree that's much less likely at tier 8. Still, I enjoyed playing this plane.

It does look rather good and I think you may be underestimating it a little, but it is at the most difficult tier in the game.

I'm not sure, but I don't think the WoWp team designed this plane intentionally to frustrate you! :D Good to see you around, big man.
In that lull on the ground battle, I would go ahead and shoot at some of the unarmored sections. Probably won't help flip the zone much faster (if at all) but it will certainly add some personal points (and thus xp and credits) to the post battle haul!
I'd endorse that. I was surprised by how effective the guns were against ground targets. You saw me mopping up targets that had damaged armoured sections quite easily in the first battle, though clearly I need to be a bit more aware of my opportunities!

Hi the pilot that you receive with the plane how many points have and the reload time of the rockets??? How many seconds???
The pilot that came with the plane when it was dropped on the press account has one skill point. The base reload time for the rockets is 120 seconds.

Not really; I'm lucky enough to have access to a press account and sometimes the WoWp team asks me to test new planes, so I have the opportunity to collect material for these videos. They made me work for it this time though! :)
Not sure what NA pilot you are speaking to, but the biggest guild on NA - OWSS - does not have such adherents regarding marksman

I know the pilot that said that marksman I hurts performance and he plays on the EU server, and most of the NA top pilots he's referring to consider marksman I specifically not good without marksman II.
@@pedro1_1 You're right, that's how I understood him and, understanding his vast experience and respecting it, I beg to differ. I think it is useful on its own. However, that doesn't mean it's a skill that obviously is better than, for instance, Battle Tested and each person will make their own judgement or do their own testing.
I complete tasks purely out of interest. The plane, as I understand it, is not very good. In red you look like a communist :)
Obviously, each person will make their own assessment. For its class and tier, I consider it very good. I've flown the plane around 100 times, so I think it's a reasonably informed assessment.

You're right, tier 7 is awkward to play since usually you're bottom tier in your battles. I hope the NA server treats you well!

Late getting into this conversation but, I just got this plane and am using GOA. I’m really coming from a long training on the IL- line where I’m using GOA on all of them. So you use Bolt Carriers on those? Curious on your, always helpful viewpoint. o>
Straightforwardly, it's my *guess* that having a longer burst length allows me to destroy more stuff. However, I haven't tested whether or not shooting for longer is better than destroying stuff more quickly with gas-operated action (GOA). My feeling is that, as it takes a noticeable amount of time to orientate a GAA to point at a new target, possibly the GOA would not be used to the best of its potential. However, probably that's pretty marginal. If it works for you, keep doing it. If you're not sure, try a test flight or two and see what you think of the bolt carriers.
Hello! Thank you for sharing this information. I would like some advice if I may. I am having a hard time dogfighting with other blackwidows. I have tried to make it as maneuverable as possible, maxing me out at 57. I am still getting outturned and have seen that players have gotten theirs in the 60s range. Any suggestions? I am trying to compare my stats with what you have here in the video and mine is still at 57. Thank you
57 is pretty good if you don't pull a few tricks. Those "tricks" are: 1) Using an experimental lightweight wingframe and an experimental lightweight power unit, setting the bonus characteristics for maximum manoeuvrability. If you have special project equipment, even better. 2) Putting a well-trained Elise Clark, the special pilot, in the cockpit, making sure she has Aerobatics Expert and Aerodynamics Expert alongside her special "Maneuver Expert" skill. If you're willing to forego a polished skin in the second airframe slot and use reinforced skin instead, you can achieve something like a manoeuvrability rating of 64.

I realize this video was done some time ago but, if I may still ask: Polished skin is a good choice for FJ-1 & F-86A? I’m very afraid to lose any maneuverability (American spelling😂) when I’m up against German fighters at these tiers, which are often specialized and ready to go against me. Curious your thought on this choice. Maybe then just run from them, if concerned about maneuverability? Thanks as always for your insight! o>
With the caveat that I'm talking about a specialised frame here; with two airframe slots, you've the scope to add a polished skin alongside a lightweight wing frame and still have plenty of manoeuvrability AND speed to deal with Me P.1101s. If you're talking about a stock plane, off the cuff probably I'd go lightweight wing frame and one of lightweight power unit or high speed gas turbine (HSGT). You should be able to outmanoeuvre any Me P.1101 and still have the speed to chase them down too, particularly with the HSGT.

I have a question. Did American aircraft ever have Soviet markings alongside U.S Air Force markings ? NKVD or FSK emblems or BDB airborne troops ? Because the Russians use such emblems in the game and put them on the planes ? What do American veterans think when they see the sickle and hammer next to the American star on an aircraft from the Vietnam conflict ?
That's a lot of questions that I don't think I can answer with any authority! First, I'm not an American. Secondly, I'm not that interested in military aviation history, which may seem odd, but there it is, so I can't speak about markings. Finally, I can't really speak on behalf of American players, but I would suppose that, if they even notice, they shrug off the ahistorical markings some choose to use.
And I can see WDW emblems on the planes in the game. I have talked to a few . They fought for Putin in Abkhazia .... They are even fighting in Ukraine at the moment. And 2 million Ukrainian players have fled to my country .... For me the WDW emblem on an American aircraft is profanity . Have fun .

Just got one and just subscribed...your vid and tactics and specifically your gun lead makes this novice competent! I love an edge in these games now, and this plane can give you one. Ty!
The improvement is solely down to you, but I'm glad you found the video was useful in helping you get there.
I ended up going with Navigation Radio Equipment, Polished Skin, lightweight wing frame, lightweight power unit, special project of Germany high speed gas turbine, the added turn rate works better for me when dealing with P61's/F82Es and such. speed 65, turn rate 73. The guns remind me of the 45s from the TU-1 with a higher ROF. -Brandx51 NA
Let me know how you get with that build. I'm interested particularly if the use of the navigational radio equipment allows you to pick engagements that most suit the guns more often.
@@TheNobleQ The biggest thing i notice is with bot controlled tail gunners, they seem slower to react and quicker to disengage from shooting, without knowing actual concealment ranges everything is a guess.
@@scottwhite1247 Exactly that; a guess. Now I have the plane on my regular account, I've given it a speed build with navigational radio equipment and, though I can't put it into numbers, it does seem to help with getting into an advantageous position with respect to a target. More to come on this.

It does not. The guns can be used for small ground targets in the manner of the Stuka G, that is, 2 volleys to destroy an unarmoured section of target, 5 volleys to destroy an armoured section of ground target. It's my view that attacking ground targets won't be a major part of the gameplay for this plane, but it shouldn't be overlooked if destroying a ground target will flip a sector to your team.

That's a good question, which I cannot answer. I'll see if I can encourage somebody to provide a tutorial.
How I would give this plane?
As I understand it, the WoWp team has no plans to make this plane available. Some years ago the team entered into certain, if I may put it this way, exclusivity arrangements with other parties and continues to abide by that commitment.
Nice work on this review! It really shows what can be done with this plane. I know how you feel about the B-29C, but usually when I see one on the enemy side I just expect a loss but I can have a fun game and do some work.. but when I see a P-61, I just go for my box of tissues since I'm going to have a sad time. I just specialized my XF5U but I almost think that was a waste. Such a cool plane but Tier 8 is basically a misery these days, when it used to be a sweet spot when I had just begun flying and all I had was a P-51H and there was no Black Widow. All I feel I can do is do avoid it and try to get something done until it finds me, no matter what plane I am flying. I don't see that the nerf has done any good personally. Sorry for the rant, I sure enjoy your content sir! i>
Unfortunately, with experimental equipment and the use of Elise Clark, the P-61 is 80-90% of the way back to being what it was - a real nuisance.

A tip for those who will do the mission. The gabby medal is easier to get in the blenheim IV. One bomb is enougj to destroy one AA place and u can kill a lot of plane while the bombs reload
I'd suggest specifically for a Blenheim, which is a good choice, that the battle tier needs to be 4 and, ideally, the map should have two mining plants. At battle tier 5 the Blenheim's bombs sometimes fail to take out gun emplacements. Take out three or four emplacements at each plant. During reloading, as you say, shoot down 10 aircraft. Don't forget! You have to win the battle too.

I wonder what it does to B-29's.
considering its gun range and altitude performance, it can hit B29 hard, but you'll need to climb just a bit.
As @maximshukanov3267 suggests, if you hit it, you'll take away quite a bit of health, but you won't be able to simply fly at one and kill it. Make sure you attack either from above or below, and in front, or glide in a slight climb towards it, keeping it at long range.
Looks like it's tier VIII Hurricane IID, the playstyle will be very similar to it.
There are some obvious similarities, but the range of the weapons on the Tempest V is much greater, though hitting reliably at long range is tricky because it's past the convergence point of the shells. I'm sure if you like the Hurricane IID, you're likely to like to the Tempest V.

Engine cooling also speeds up the «recharge» of the boost, so can be effective on planes with long boost time as well (gaa, bombers and heavy fighters), to help get your boost back faster😊 thank you for a lot of good videoes, you have helped me a lot in learning this game😊

Excellent question! I don't think I use a rocket sight anywhere. I should say I'm *terrible* at checking the rocket ranges on planes, so perhaps there are some with limited range that this piece of equipment could help with, but in my experience I've never noticed a problem with the range of rockets on any plane. I think the most likely place I'd consider them is on the "Bat wings", the German BV P.210/2/5, but to give up aerodynamic pylons or strengthened hardpoints on those...hmmm...I don't think I'd do that. I hope that helps!

The Typhoon has a really strong rudder - you probably would have been able to out-turn the Spitfire, at least for a few turns.
I think that's the reason I survived long enough for my teammates to shoot him down. I took the calculated decision to take out the P-47B because I reckoned the sector would fall if I did, making the Spitfire less of a priority. But you may be right; had I not switched targets, I may have got the Spitfire.
