Aerodynamics Expert (ADE) improves the effect of equipment on manoeuvrability or speed by 40%. In this case I have an uprated engine mounted, so the effect of that is improved. This offsets, to some extent, the use of engine armour protection and strengthened hardpoints, both of which have an adverse effect on speed.

Tu-12 is one of the most capable bombers in the game. It can outperform even EF-131 in "number of targets" destruction missions and "capture points" missions. The main issue is that it's a dive bomber and you have to do a lot of "dive and then climb". The engine is pretty weak(penalized) down low and you can't bomb reliably from high altitude. So it's NOT the lazy/clicker player's bomber. P.S> Climb rate is the most important characteristic for a dive bomber. If you're not diving, you're doing it wrong. There is "dive bombing" mechanics in this game. When you dive bomb properly your bombs are MUCH more accurate and do more damage. You can see the reticle shrink when the dive bombing mechanic activates. For this plane "Cruise flight" skill is poor choice. When you're up to altitude this bomber can go pretty fast. Your problem is getting back to altitude(repeatedly) when leaving a sector. Engine guru skill is way more useful in that regard. P.S.2 > The effect of gas turbine that matters is the bonus cooldown and capability to climb faster, not increase of maximum boost speed, which is pretty high to begin with. This plane can climb at very steep angle and you DO need that if you're going to perform dive bombing.

I agree completely. I've played the Ju 287 a lot recently, whilst specialising it, and it's nowhere near as interesting as the Tu-12. I much prefer the latter.

Nice flying! Because you cannot one pass a sector and the rear gunners are not overly strong this plane feels a lot less oppressive than the Ju287 imo

Probably that's right and, being more of a challenge, that's why I prefer playing it.

I disagree. This plane can apply way more pressure then Ju287 ever could. With Tu-12 you can more reliably then with Ju-287 destroy 4 targets with 4 bombs. And then you reload way faster. The only case when Ju-287/EF-131 score better is when you hit large/primary targets and get lucky enough to destroy them with 1 bomb. RNG is a lot bigger factor with the German bombers. You do get really poor results with them sometimes. Rear gunner is, as you pointed out, weaker though.

@@nikoladd Unfortunately, one bomb destruction of large targets with the Ju 287 is not a matter of luck. It's a matter of set up.

WG may use the word war. A player on the WOW platform gets banned for using the phrase "Russian aggression in Ukraine".WG believes that war is a natural disaster ... There is no aggressor ... Game WOW100-37fps WOT 250-150fps

@@Sslawek-lb9to Only if it drops to a low level. Provided you're above 30 fps you should be all right, though higher, up to around 60 fps, is better.
