IMPORTANT MESSAGE: I need help from some of my subcribers and other users for some videos I plan to add in the future. I'm seeking clips from Oklahoma City and Kansas City stations to include in such compilations (I have completed some for KOCO and the Kansas City stations, though there are some gaps in the timelines of the videos that need to be filled). This especially includes, but is not necessarily limited to, clips from KFOR, KWTV, KOCO, KOKH, WDAF, KCTV, KMBC and KSHB that are not currently available on KZread. If you've got any (they must be downloaded via capture card) to trade, PM me on KZread.
Welcome to my channel. Please enjoy the compilations uploaded here, new ones will be added periodically and I'd be happy to take requests (all uploaded videos are closed captioned for our hearing impaired viewers). I don't own these clips, I only compile what the rest of you have uploaded already or whatever you wish to send me by my request for your help with a compilation.

I used to get WGN News on WGN America while living in Des Moines, IA
2:59 and 3:13 are the ones I remember the most
What happened to the pre-1984 opens? Isn't this supposed to start in the 50s vintage era to present with a station like this?
I hope y'all will reply to this WUSA 9 the Washington, DC CBS affiliate owned by TEGNA broadcasting up til 1987 used the same music that WCVB 5 the Boston, Massachusetts ABC affiliate used on their newscasts
WTTG 5 is now FOX

I'm surprised KGO-TV hasn't adopted the Eyewitness News format since KPIX-TV gave that up in the Bay Area TV market.
Yuck, I loved all the opens until the late 2000s versions; the signature theme song seems to have been dropped.
9:12 the ever humble Sharon Reed who loved to boast about how her sources called on her "personal cell phone"... 📱

I didn't know Suzanne Geha worked at Channel 7! I grew up watching her on Channel 8 in West Michigan! She's a great one!
At 5:56 through 8:24 true EYEWITNESS NEWS INTROS
0:52 -- Clearly, this was NOT Phil Tonken. So, who was it?
luxury elite
No, love this news station
Notable announcers: Charlie Van Dyke, Al Vanik, Scott Chapin, Mark Peeples, and current announcer Beau Weaver.
8:24 this is how Eyewitness News will be iconic from that moment on by that identifiable score.

10:31, the colors on the peacock logo, on the right, are mixed up. LOL. 💛🧡❤️💙💚💜😄😄😄
R.I.P. Sam Rubin , God Bless You Sir and Thank You for everything that you've done for Southern California, the USA and Around the World Until We See You Again, it's not Goodbye, it's....I'll see you later
After WSVN, didn't meteorologist Tom Bearse move to Cincinnati, Ohio for WLWT?
I forgot that Mike Nelson worked in St. Louis for a few years early in his career. He’s worked in the Denver media market for over 3 decades and is retiring at the end of the year.

I am very impressed that they use Industrial Power by Bruton Music for their opening. Very fitting. Is Independent Network News the only news station that uses that music?
While someone has to write the music for even newscasts, I was surprised to find years later it did have a name and used for other things, including sports highlights.
I love KXAS

Hello, i write to you from Italy, forgive me if i bother you. I found your KZread channel because i'm doing a long research on that platform with a very specific purpose: to find someone who has recorded north-american tv news about Madonna's tours, especially the ones from the 80s: "Virgin Tour" and "Who's That Girl Tour". I saw your amazing stuff posted on KZread and i'm always fascinated when i see these old recordings coming from VHS and i couldn't help but contact you to ask if you can help me. Since you are a huge collector of this type of stuff, i can imagine that you have a net of contacts in the United States, with whom you can exchange material, so my question is this: between all the people you trade your recordings, have you ever heard about someone who recorded what i'm looking for? Please, if you ever know anything about this, don't hesitate to contact me, i can do very little from my country, so i'm looking for a "connection" in the United States to know where i can looking for...please :-) Thank you for your attention and sorry again if i disturbed you. Kind regards.
One word....Monica!

Most of those news people at 6abc WPVI Action News are retired now, including Jim Gardner, and Gary Papa passed away June 2009 same month and year as Michael Jackson. Lisa Thomas-Laury looked nice in the 80's with her big brown hair.
