KING, the NBC affiliate in Seattle WA, is owned by Tegna Inc. KING is the sister station to independent station KONG in Seattle, CBS affiliate KREM and CW affiliate KSKN in Spokane, and fellow NBC affiliates KGW in Portland OR and KTVB in Boise ID.
It brings back my very young days. " this is king 5 news." I loved saying this phrase.

Man, this brings back memories. I miss Seattle news and how personal it felt
The 1999 opens were done by Novocom, based off the package they did for WEWS the year before. The package was also used at several of KING's Belo sister stations, such as KGW in Portland and WHAS in Louisville, as well as Northwest Cable News. Trivia: I found that the timings on KING's 2007 opens worked with the main cuts of Gari's "Enforcer" series 3, the version sister station KMOV used prior to adopting the 2007 Belo graphics and Gari's "The Edge."

Today (Feb 12 2016) is the last day that King 5 will be broadcasting from 333 Dexter Ave. North in Seattle.
That's Joe Michaels voicing the 1989 opens as well. Trivia: Shannon O'Donnell used to do the morning weather on KNTV here in the San Francisco Bay Area.
