WTSP the CBS affiliate in the Tampa Bay area, is owned by Tegna, Inc. WTSP is the sister station to NBC affiliate WTLV and ABC affiliate WJXX in Jacksonville.

Where is the old 2005-2006 WTSP set go? I KNOW! After WTSP got their set they still use today, they gave the former set to a local school in Pinellas, which was BOCA CIEGA HIGH for their TV Production class!

Strangely, the open at 6:42 uses "Good News" series 2 and the one afterward uses "Newschannel," while every other open from that era used "Stimulus" (then "News Series 2000 Plus").

In July 1999, they stopped using "NewsSeries 2k Plus" but kept the same opening animations.

ASKconard So that's why. I think choosing "Good News" as a replacement was strange since I think series 1 and 2 sounded somewhat outdated by that point, especially compared with the other themes that were being used. I do notice that the open with "Good News" was used at 6:00, while the one with "Newschannel" was used at 11:00. Did WTSP use both themes at the same time? The SouthernMedia News Music Search Archive doesn't list WTSP as having used "Good News."

WTSP's version of "The One For All" is actually called "The Hour," at least according SouthernMedia's NMSA. Also, that's not "Take A Look" being used in the first open, and WTSP's 1983 news theme is called "Stay In Touch With 10" by William Douglass Benge. It even came with a jingle!

Also, WTSP only used cuts from series 2 of "Stimulus." The one used for opens from 1997 onward was actually the series 2 close, which in fact was just the close from series 1 of "The One and Only" with the "News Series 2000" signature added on.
