Wasn’t the point of zones 1 and 5 that they were smaller zones that don’t necessarily take a full week yet might be too much or too repetitive to put them together in a week? I’m brand new to Fly Lady, but I thought that’s what I read. I downloaded the app and spend the first couple days totally customizing it for my home. Then I decided to do all 5 zones in a couple week span to give it a super deep clean before hosting an event. That way I had a totally clean home and also got to see how long things took. My plan now is to look at the zones checklist as they come now, and if the cleaning task doesn’t appear to need done, I’ll just check it off the list in the app. If I have extra time, I’ll move to the next zone, but if i run out of time, I can come back to that zone after I hit the next scheduled zone.

I loved loved this video I changed up my routine watching your videos I spread things out through the week instead of doing it all on the weekend and wearing me out. I especially loved the part on this video where your sister put in laundry in the morning and then dried it when she got home genius 😊

Hi Steph, This older video of yours popped up on my feed today. So glad it did. I have loved following your channel and am a butterfly, so this was so helpful. I miss seeing you, but I totally get taking an extended time away. I've been going through years of physical and mental health issues and am a teacher. I took time off when having a relatively minor surgery last year and haven't returned yet. I just realize how much I really need to focus on getting "me" better. Please take good care of yourself, and I hope you're enjoying your new home and it's peaceful surroundings. Sending love and prayers 💙🙏🦋

I already get dressed i work in the mornings. And i unload dishwasher from running nite before but now i put in laundry in the morning also not worried i can put ot in dryer when i get home,and i do swish and swipe on a bathroom i have 3 toilets. When i go upstairs to shower make my bed thamk you for all the advice it made me look at things differently in a good way😊

I can’t thank you enough or tell you just how much coming across this post means to me. I’ve been in a major slump with no motivation whatsoever. It got me up and moving and once I got started, I just kept going so thank you. You probably had no idea when you posted this three years ago that it would still be impacting people today, but it is.

I've been on a mission to get rid of 24 years of my own paperwork gone. None of which I ever threw away. Monthly banking statements, credit card invoices, 4 years worth of weekly work schedules, all pay stubs, rent receipts, stacks, years worth of van rental receipts, tax papers, I know it's all there too because I never threw away anything with my name on it. Fine. It took me 3 days, full time work. Then I realized I still have my mom's paperwork which she was sitting on. Her paperwork, my paperwork, my brother's paperwork, and all of it needed to be sorted through. She passed in early 2010. March, and you know something..... Going through what she had was painful to me. It made me see my mother differently and miss her. Her handwriting, her signature it was like a time capsule. She was a bank book hoarder. She literally had 30 of them, some fully used up with DONE written on then cover, some unused, some are a complete mess, but where it hits me looking at entries around mine and my brothers birthdays.... It's like $500 with drawal then same day $100 withdrawal, then some transaction you know she bought dinner. She didn't always have it easy either. To she what she was making in the late 80's and then at the time she passed, she did good. I find notes, things, cards people really liked her a lot. I found one of my resumes in her box. Then I found one of her resumes in the same box, which for some reasons I she made up in the early 00's, the structure was based off mine :) which a lady showed my how to do in the late 90's. I still use that format. I kept a few of her bank books. Really, it's a lot of what she was up to and when. I never knew my mother's business, what she made exactly so it's knew to me. Insee receipts for this it's, I found the paperwork and receipts for a Tiffany lamp. One In actually threw in the garbage not realizing it was actually a Tiffany Lamp. $1500 on the paperwork. I threw it in the garbage. One of those many things, not my style, I don't want it, it's PROBABLY not worth much, garbage. I find calendar books, I look to all of our birthdays. She didn't write them in all, but I got it in one.

Unfortunately I do not have long drawers or a lot of counter / cabinet space. I keep everything organized but kitchen equipment is in a closet in the family room, cookbooks in the coat closet, and pantry items on shelves and wire racks on the top of stairs / back of door of the basement. It gives an illusion of minimalism but in reality, it’s not lol

It's like $500 with drawal then same day $100 withdrawal, then some transaction you know she bought dinner. She didn't always have it easy either. To she what she was making in the late 80's and then at the time she passed, she did good. I find notes, things, cards people really liked her a lot. I found one of my resumes in her box. Then I found one of her resumes in the same box, which for some reasons I she made up in the early 00's, the structure was based off mine :) which a lady showed my how to do in the late 90's. I still use that format. I kept a few of her bank books. Really, it's a lot of what she was up to and when. I never knew my mother's business, what she made exactly so it's knew to me. Insee receipts for this it's, I found the paperwork and receipts for a Tiffany lamp. One In actually threw in the garbage not realizing it was actually a Tiffany Lamp. $1500 on the paperwork. I threw it in the garbage. One of those many things, not my style, I don't want it, it's PROBABLY not worth much, garbage. I find calendar books, I look to all of our birthdays. She didn't write them in all, but I got it in one.

Unfortunately I do not have long drawers or a lot of counter / cabinet space. I keep everything organized but kitchen equipment is in a closet in the family room, cookbooks in the coat closet, and pantry items on shelves and wire racks on the top of stairs / back of door of the basement. It gives an illusion of minimalism but in reality, it’s not lol
