I think it’s still supposed to be Herringway and pronounced that way, but, the translator probably made it say Herringvai because of typing Херрингвай by accident which is a phonetic approximation of Herringway (pronounced Harrinngvai with a /x/ sound) and pronounced exactly the same when treated as a transliteration (Herringway)

Well, here I am... back with another annual binge of paper mario glitch videos. With the release of TTYD Remake, I had just recently played through the game and beat it. Next thing I know, I was curious to see if there were any glitches discovered in the remake. Saw a video ab badge duping in the remake, and then got recommended the og badge duping vid from Stryder's channel... and now here I am, rewatching a bunch of old glitch videos from the goat himself. Figured I'd come to the most recent video on the channel just to leave my peace, while I continue binging some old videos. I always hope that he'd come back one day.. especially with the release of the remake. There's just always been a power vacuum for paper mario glitch content since Stryder left, and its just not the same anymore. I hope he's doing well... and maybe one day, he'll be back with that cake he's been baking for 4 and a half years. Anyway, that's all.

The guilt trip is bullcrap, too. There's no way I'm playing this game for a full year straight just for two badges. The game designers didn't put that much content in, and you can hit basically max level in less than a week, and that's not even if you're speed running or anything, it's just that short of a game. To guilt trip you over this, ESPECIALLY given the fact that it's not random in any way, is the height of game designer stupidity in my opinion. What's worse is you can't even say that they did this to extend the playtime of the game, because there's no where that explains this hidden mechanic in-game, and none of the prizes are necessary to win the game. It's just extra stuff. That being said, guaranteeing you winning after a certain amount of time isn't a bad idea, they should have just ALSO let the game pick the winning numbers at random as well. What's more is the guaranteed win should have been shorter. Like, say, if you check it every day, you'll get all the prizes after about a month, or maybe even a week, and the cycle would repeat itself if you missed a prize date. Just what I would have done, but then again, I respect people's time.

Started a playthrough of this after not playing the original in like 9 years, I love it. It really does bring back the sense of difficulty and reward of finding new strats that I experienced as a kid when I played the vanilla game

I skipped fifth grade by doing frame perfect jumps, then I make an NPC push me into an out-of-bounds area, then I fall out of bounds and store the loading zone, and then I skipped certain aspects of life. You should try it too!

flavio glitch isn't in the remake bc the blue pipes don't appear until you go back to the thousand year door after each chapter

I just came across an issue when playing this game on Switch. The game lags quite a bit when using star storm on the jungle shy guy by the pipe on Mt. Lavalava Island.

Most of these are exploits or edge cases that it makes sense not to cover for, but the cheep cheep softlock at the beginning of the game feels like something someone could and should have noticed in QA testing. Unless jumping over the raft is way harder than you made it look.

This is kind of like how the gumball machine thing works in splatoon 3. Basically it decides what rarity of reward you will get for each day. Kind of weird they didn’t just make it random.
