I love how long this takes to set up, how complicated and hard it is considering the set up itself, and how utterly useless it is to do this since you have to dictate your save around it meaning you'd never have a need for infinite badges you can sell casually. It's just such a beautifully dumb thing, so complex but so worthless to perform other than you just can. What a wonderful video to come back to. :D

I haven't had the chance to watch, cause this is a LOOOONG video, but I'm assuming it's because every badge in the game has a single OFF/ON value, so you can't stack multiple of the same badge, because it doesn't count how many you have equipped, just whether the badge is "ON". That's what I've heard from runners in streams.

it's around 7 minutes shorter then watch for rolling rocks commentated + enter the secret aquarium commentated combined, but longer then enter the secret aquarium by around 17 minutes. interesting.

Me: Huh, Stryder’s been gone for a while. I could use a healthy dose of breaking PM64. Stryder: -uploads 45 minute video- Me: “it’s everything I’ve ever wanted and more.”

Have they updated that route for their new application for BIT yet? I'm pretty sure that it would allow them to skip somthing somewhere, and even if it don't, it would still speed up parts of the game. After all, setting an assortment of flags on any map with a statue you can save at has to have SOME use in avoiding an item somewhere, although if it helps with any items that aren't already skipped in Low%, I don't know.

Are you sure you're not getting low% runs mixed up? Last I heard, the SS low% was only 9 hours long and the stupid trick was one that basically requires doing most of an any% run before performing a glitch to open a door in another save file without giving said save file any items, and then going through pretty much the entire game again. Oh, and I also know that the about 36 hour TP low% run uses a pair of stupid slow clips to get past walls without items.
