God I loved the Lil' Oink pen. First time playing through I only touched it about once or twice, saw no instand benefit, and thus ignored it for the rest of the game's content. Most other playthroughs where I touched the area basically amounted to me grabbing an Oink or two when passing through but never going over ten because I either didn't wanna spend all my cash on seemingly nothing, or didn't feel the need or desire to erase my little dudes, not even when I bothered to learn what getting over 10 actually did for me. Still, loved my little oinks and will never get over the very first Gold I happened to get. :)

I love it when they put pointless interactables in games. Literally one of the only reasons I buy certain games (pokémon especially, with HeartGold and ultra sun.)

It's The Thousand Year Door's 4th Chapter all over again. The blue toads were turned into pigs.

The Lil Oinks were one of my favorite things in Pape, when younger, I'd farm off enemies for hours on end just to see what Oinks I could get, but I never hat 10 of them in a cage together because I always hoped that if I entered, I could pet one.

Yeah, he's done a few thousand year door videos so far. I could see him getting into the weird quirks of that game like he does for the n64 one.

The Blue toads are here not because of their race, rather, they are a classsification, divided by one glaringly obviously thing. They are all cold-blooded killers. Look at those eyes. Those aren't the eyes of your friendly neighboorhood shopkeeper, they're the eyes of people who spend their day Shrooming. These Toads have been running away from the Law for long enough, so they have finally been served justice for their actions. Only 1 question truly remains. When will Waluigi get his?

Usually they stick with NPCs that already exist in the room (which is why the 10 Luigis was so strange to me lol). No need to use objects that don't normally occupy space in the room when they're just going to be invisible :)

Ah, only one vid every once in a while, but it makes you appreciate it more! Always great to see you again, Stryder.

This reminds me of how a lot of objects are moved around in Sims 2, specifically the RC car. It's simply an invisible NPC sim that's spawned in the moment someone starts playing with the RC car, and this invisible sim basically just controls the car randomly around the room, quite like these toads. It's even possible through corruptions and glitches to *play* as this NPC, who has incomplete data, as the game treats it as an *object* rather than a sim, leading to quite serious game corruption.

So, I have a Paper Mario story from my childhood that I'm not sure actually happened, or if it was just some kind fabricated memory. I was at the 2nd to last Bowser fight. I beat him, level up, and win. I've already maxed all of my stats... so the game softlocks since I cannot choose a stat to level up. As a consequence, I had to replay the entire game to finish it, as I would level up every time I beat Bowser. I do know that if you manage to level up at max stats the game does soft lock. But I also know enemies aren't supposed to give XP at max level. So is it even possible to level up past max level without a cheating device? I could have *swore* this happened to me but I have yet to actually find any evidence that it could have.

Try doing it over again. Max out your stats before the Bowser fight and see what happens. Who knows, maybe you weren't making it up.

The most logical explanation is that you had both a HP Plus and FP Plus badge equipped, which put both your HP and FP at 50 points. This would explain why you still earned star points because you were not yet max level, likely level 25 (max being 27) but why you stats appeared to be maxed out. On the Level Up screen, you won't be able to upgrade HP or FP if they are at or above 50. The solution would have been to un-equip your stat boosting badges to let the level up progress appropriately.

Look I’m just glad the uploads are back And if you run out of glitches/ideas, then include other Paper Mario games like Thousand Year Door and such

Wasn't there a secret bonus if all the L'il-Oinks (with a hyphen because Goombario's Tattle is like an Encyclopedia and that has more validity than NPC dialogue or the place's sign... I think) were Gold or something?? Maybe I remember wrong. I feel like this is an underrated aspect of the original Paper Mario. There's no reason to have these L'il-Oinks (except for extra Recipes materials as you mention) but it was so darn cute back in my childhood... felt so sad when they are run away :'(

The odds of getting 10 Gold L'il Oinks in a row are .03^10, which gives a 5.9049e-14 percent chance of it happening; that's a 0.00000000000005904 percent chance. I doubt that there's an easter egg for it.
