Hello! I'm Claire, mum to two under two. I post new videos every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday on food shops, cooking from scratch, meals of the week and clean with me motivation. Come along and join in as I do all the mum things!
Thank you so much for joining in! xx

you could have used the water from veggies to the flour mix, it holds all the nutition
Hi Claire, this is the Time Lord from the future--it's July where I am! Thanks for the fun video--you might think they are boring, but they never are---baby babbling, crawling through cat doors, news of Freyja's birthday---already 3? I love that she wanted it in the shape of a snake! What a creative thinker! How quickly the last year has gone by. My fridge broke and I have to wait 8 more days til I get one delivered, so I bought a camper box, and every day I go get ice for it. Hard to keep any leftovers, so I am cooking in tiny proportions! (PS can you please tell me again how to spell Freyja?)
Miss you Claire. Hope you and your family are okay! x
Hi Claire me and mum love your videos, she wants me to ask you if you are Scottish :)
Bread, wine, and thou. 😊
Awww you had another baby. Miss your videos
For chicken - drumsticks or thighs - cooking pan, chicken in, can of chopped mushrooms in (or substitute sauteed fresh ones in whatever size chop or slice - the precook step is a little important because liquid control) season with dusting of salt, pepper, thyme and oregano, dust vigorously with lots of parmesan (when my mom made it, she used the canned cheese powder - I tend to upgrade to grated fresh stuff, but either one works, tbh). Cook til done, serve with rice or pasta. I suppose one could also use mash or cous cous (yeah, I know, pasta, but it feels different), though I never have. The other thing about this recipe is that it tends to create its own sauce, which due to the bone-in meat, gels a little. My younger brother always makes a massive serving even though he lives alone, then he uses the leftovers (juices, veg, meat shredded off the bones) as the basis for a soup. Add veg, add more liquid, simmer together with pasta if desired, and voila.
Do you ever do stuff marrow l see you had some on your kitchen side
I lived in Bournemouth as I was a kid, befor we moved to germany. I'm still homesick after all the time.
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
kislux I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
Good to see you, Claire, and your mum. I'd like to try the squash, don't have much of it here in Canada, and I'd give the shrimp noodles a miss. Hope they are good, for you!
I wish we had one of those in the USA.
Hi Claire! I thought chocolate was a once a week necessity! The food prices where I am in ON CA are ridiculous. I mostly don't buy beef at all and hardly ever buy chicken because it hurts to buy 4 chicken breasts for $23.00. We love white beans and rice and eggplant and zucchini thyme casserole with a sprinkle of cheese. We love beans in all their forms except the tinned brown beans in sauce, but chickpeas, and lentils are great. Tinned tuna and lots and lots of broccoli are staples. Wish I had a garden. How is yours doing? PS Your hair looks super!
why on earth are morrisons STILL delivering groceries in plastic carrier bags? When other places did away with them years ago........
Where are you clare l miss your vlogs hope you're well ❤ jaci

Hi I haven't seen any new videos lately 😢 I just wanted to ask if everything was OK ❤
Hello from the future! Good to see you, Claire and Ed. Hope your eye healed quickly. On Saturday I mostly just got some groceries and tried to recover my life in Canada, having been away since Feb in the deep south. Not as lovely as seeing bluebells, for sure! You got some terrific finds at that recycle store. What a lovely weekend you had!
Hi clare just popping on to say hope all well with you and the family, been missing your vlogs. Hope you are doing okay much love xxx
You popped into my mind ☺️💟💞🙏🏻 I hope you are ok hun…I don’t think you were too hot the last few episodes but right now, came into my thoughts xxxx
wow you struck a chord with me there - my mum passed away 15 years ago - she was of an era where food was sometimes very limited and always always kept a back up. When we emptied her house out there were cupboards full of tinned food. My and one of my sisters sat on the kitchen floor and sobbed our hearts out
BTW as the shopper and cook at home 2 things that are totally required ate eggs and onions - you have both and most of the stuff you need is in a cupboard at home
My wife became a Sainsbury employee so I now get associate staff discount - then the fun commenced lol
kislux versace bag is so cute
kislux I love you so much and watching your videos makes my day brighter
The United Kingdom UK 🇬🇧
I have seen documentaries where there are some ( exclusive and very expensive ) balsamic vinegar which is over 100 years old and is fine so I am sure you will be with that vinegar too
Hoping that all is well with you and your family Claire. Really missing you.
Miss seeing you. Praying that all is well with you and your family.
Kilbasa and perogies with fried onions and cream gravy. Yum.
I sympathize with you regarding the toothpaste. There's only one toothpaste I can use and its regular price is $14CAD, which is about £8.😧
You could freeze one of those gammon for Christmas you got real bargains I'd never pay 2 .99p for a sausage mash in a Yorkshire pud the other gammon you could cut into slices and freeze or cook slice and freeze into so many slices in a pack for sandwiches or have gammon egg and chips one of my favorite quick meals
I'm coveting the small packs of baby corn. I can only find tins where I am in southern Ontario, Canada, and they're both tinny-tasting and expensive.🌽
Is cross-contamination responsible for shortening (vegetable suet) not being gluten-free? Emotional support grapes FTW!🍇 (The grating frozen butter trick is always going to make tastier pastry, but shortening does make things flakier because it contains no water and has a higher melting point. But since trans-fats were banned, palm oil is used in shortening and margarines, and I always find anything with palm oil smells rancid and tastes awful.)
I shop at waitrose because of the quality
when mine were little I always got the reply to a certain statement - "oh my goodness how did you get your kids to eat broccoli/cabbage/apples/insert any other fruit and veg here " to which the answer was very simple - first you need to have the stuff in and cook it and present it where necessary or when they are looking for a snack say" we have apples/bananas/grapes etc why not have them" The big no-no is if there is something you don't like don't tell your kids because they will copy you and miss out on something they may actually find delicious
In desperation, I searched for ways to rescue unset jam - in my case, 5 litres of dandelion jam. I thought hours of picking and de-petalling work was going to be wasted. But, no!! I'm now beyond excited at this happy outcome. I'm rushing to the kitchen even now to get my dandelion homebrew started. My future self will be toasting you in thanks.
Our greggs is right next door to our heron foods
Talking of getting rid of stuff - wife is a bit of a hoarder I pride myself on clearing and dumping stuff BUT I retain one little reminder of my first born - a CD of MMMMBop by Hanson which is kept under the bed because they were my son's first words - I was feeding him in the high chair and he kept saying mmmbop ( it was on the radio at the time ) to encourage me to keep feeding him. He hates it when I remind him as he is now 28 but I am a soppy sod .................
Just got my first TGTG box, from Aldi, loads of fish, four pots of hummus, 😂, sweaty looking ham and chicken, very wrinkly peppers and some dodgy looking lamb mince meat, worth over thirty quid I reckon, I don’t really eat fish and really just fit for the bin, only cost three quid, so no great loss, hopefully better luck next time!
It's probably a bit late now but for the future I think you could list your unwanted items on olio for people to collect for free. You set your own pickup location and time. Saves wasting unwanted food.
Oh heck I nit weigh my water I measured 350ml
Hi Claire missing your vlogs, hope all is well with Ed, the girls and the rest of the family? 🥰 xxx
Came to say the same, missing your videos. Hope everything is okay ❤
I am worried for her as well. She is great at posting weekly if not more often videos and suddenly went silent. I miss her fun, helpful videos and hope she is okay.
Been missing your videos too. Hope you and all family okay ❤
OK, so you are not vegetarians but there really isn't a need to make a (albeit fake) fuss over a vegetarian item. I dont eat meat but still was impressed with the grocery haul
Wow i did one from myStarbucks the other week as my irst experience and got 2 sandwiches and 2 cakes. ive heard so many ppl talk about how much they get in Too Good to go bags and in my experience you barely get anything.
