I just love that you have so many animals that I might describe as “hard to love”. Everyone calm down, cats can be notoriously difficult and skittish and the tortoise 🐢 is hardly a cuddly girl. As you have two kiddos under 5 I say “embrace the plastic” it won’t be forever-Zul says so!

It's definitely taking me longer than I anticipated to get thru my freezer. You may be onto something with the portal notion. It would certainly explain a lot. Never had oxtail but it looked absolutely wonderful. Have a great weekend! 🥰🐢💤

You had me singing day o while you were mashing up your bananas. LOL new subscriber and loving it. I’m doing a freezer challenge as well, it’s scary when you don’t have a clue what a tub of something is. I keep trying to remember to label but mostly fail. LOL

We use Henderson's as it is cheaper than Lea and Perrins. Not that it matters to us as we're not vegetarians, but Henderson's is suitable for vegetarians as it does not include anchovies which are in Worcestershire sauce.

Doing this myself as have 2 freezers attached to fridges, one in house one in garage plus a very old freezer that fits more in than the other 2 combined 😀 feeding ( on and off ,depending on uni and work ) family of 5 but was fed up of freezer jenga so since xmas have only bought fresh veg etc and been inventive . Few "beige meals " and few days of big casseroles which then re invented with more ingredients and herbs etc 😊going to try another week then stock up and probably faint at the price of my bill 😳 😮

I too use metal straws!! Love your cats. My cat joy thinks she's a model in cat form laying on her back showing the world all she's got. Little hussy lol got to love them liking the comfortable packaging and why do babies have to grow so fast??? Love your channel. I've big bed watched. I'm an Essex girl and that makes me insane lol I was born in Barking woof so sorry!

You can add grated zucchini or carrots to most cake and it turns out great! Even better in loaf breads.

to avoid getting egg shell in your food, lightly tap the egg on the counter, not the edge of the bowl. it does make a big difference.

I've only had oxtail once. A boyfriend's mom made oxtail soup and it was sooo good! Thank you for the shot of Wednesday---she's a mystery to me and so pretty! I must say, Claire, that bread looks absolutely perfect! Am in the process of figuring out if I am wheat intolerant or if it is the yeast, but I would love to buy a bread maker. That bread belies your words of not being a baker, as does the cake in the background. I wholeheartedly agree with stealth vegetables. Used to put them in spaghetti sauce before I found Marcella Hazan. Now I am a red sauce purist! Very nice to see the tribe growing!

I like cooking and baking. I do a lot of the cooking meals for me and my partner as she works and at the monent I don't have a job so do things around the house. Also, since the start of the pandemic in 2020 I have been baking most of the bread we use. I love trying different bread recipes, and love cooking cakes.

@@jonap5740 kneading the bread was starting to make my shoulder ache, so for my 50th a couple of years ago my family clubbed together for a Kenwood Chef for me, Mary Berry edition with her Fast Cakes book included in the box. Sister-in-law's friend works for Kenwood so got a very good price on it. Makes it so much easier with the dough hook to do the kneading.

Why not just have a food budget to encourage you to use up freezer/ pantry stores? Then pet food and household items etc can be bought as you need them.
