Your "music" choices are horrible. No equipment can make horrible content listenable.
I'll play barem da si malo moj next time. 👍
The Q accoustic, far more dynamic with good instrument separation. Great video, thank you.
Cheers mate - a few extra tips. Don't try spraying when temp outside below 21 degrees, put you tub of stain in the sun for a bit to warm the mixture, makes it more runny. Finally can add 10% warm water to dilute.
The price-point is interesting .. they must be looking to replace the WIIM Amp entirely as the price is within $30 of each other. Not sure of the purpose. For a main system I would prefer a decent 2nd hand AV and add a WIIM Mini if you really need steaming and be able to have more than a stereo speaker setup. For a small room or bedroom connected to a PC I would use a DOUK Audio at a 1/3rd of the price. I hope they have addressed the issues that continues to plague the WIIM AMP version... there is a gap in the market but I am not sure there is a market in that gap!! 🎶
🤔🧐 ..GOOD TOPIC !! ..BUT AS YOU GET TO THIS STAGE OF TWEAKING YOUR SYSTEM, YOU’LL BENEFIT BY GIVING YOUR EARS A FEW WEEKS TO AMALGAMATE WITH THE SOUND OF THE FIRST CONFIGURATION BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE NEXT IN THE COMPARISON.. ..AFTER SOME WEEKS (OR BETTER YET, MONTHS) THAT (LITTLE) DIFFERENCE WILL MORE EASILY SEEM ASTOUNDING.. **ANOTHER THING TO CONSIDER: BECAUSE THE TWEAKING PROCESS INVOLVES MAKING ADJUSTMENTS TO SEVERAL POINTS ACROSS YOUR SYSTEM, THE ULTIMATE EFFECT WILL BE A ‘COMBINED SUMMATION’ OF THE INDIVIDUAL IMPROVEMENTS..
I have always liked Yamaha. They sound good and they usually last forever. I have the A-S801 right now in the living room pushing some Paradigm studio 100 v2’s and it sounds really good. Very happy with it. I happen to have a Rotel A11 Tribute coming today for the bedroom. It will be pushing some nice Energy bookshelf speakers and a sub. The Tribute is on sale at Crutchfield for $650. I couldn’t resist. We shall see how it compares to the 801
Love your video.. thinking to get a linton for myself… any recommendation for the ampli? Like marantz PM6007 or yamaha a-s301 is good enough for the speaker? Or need the bigger amp? Thanks
I'd probably go for the as501 if your wallet can stretch that little bit further?
@@UTILITARIANTVUK lovely❤️ .. thank u 🙏🏻
Hey Martin, hope you're well. Isn't the AO7 MAX fab? I've been mulling over the two mono set-up for some time, so this video really helps - thanks. I use a KHOZMO passive preamp - I've learned it's best have gain maximum, then adjust whatever amp I'm using afterwards, so for now I'm going to stick to stereo (plus, the KHOZMO has no remote and it's 3 metres away from my listening chair.. the AO7 is 6 inches away!) I use Neat Iota Alphas at 4 ohms, and I'm getting plenty of Oomph. - Kindest regards - Richard (clown smiley face) - Folkestone.
I've been interested in those Neat speakers, they are quite unique. How do you find them?
so this is just an advertisement
Are you going to buy it?
@@UTILITARIANTVUK no. but for this kind of video I suppose you get money for it, and you should mention that if so. Why else post such a video. Reviewing stuff that you have in your hands is different
Your presentation is extremely annoying ... I wanted to learn about the Fosi amp, but you are extremely unlikeable.
I'll tell you what Stefan, you're not subtle are you? 😂
Good ending about Subscribe or don't, who cares (Lol)... and the Star Trek sounds are TOP NOTCH!! 🙂
Rotel sounds better. These small mono amps lack bass.
T9 pro is better. Great test.
The Leak dac sounds better. More open and more live.
Deal me in
Rotel sounded a lot better. tighter bass control and just sounds better
Theres a filter in the lance, make sure it clean, and when finnished best to take filter and bits out, thoroughly clean with water

Both were average to bad driving those Wharfedale speakers, because those Wharfedales are power hogs. They need at least 150W per channel, super fast and well nuanced amp, which would cost 4x more than this Leak or Marantz.
Deal me in
The LP50 looks much more a attractive and quality product, on looks I would go for this, but, the point as always, and I’m aware it’s a subjective issue, which of them sounds better?
Really enjoyed your review. I’ve just bought a pair of the Wharfedale’s and they are competing in my home with B&W 601 S3’s which are epic. The B&Ws just pip the Wharfedale’s BUT there is a significant price differential (B&Ws are dearer) but for the price the Wharfedale’s are brilliant, so I would deffo recommend the them.
Deal me in. I have to have it. 😊
Deal me in. Love trying out these mini Chinese hifi equipment.
I agree! Let’s wait to see all the comments about this product before splashing out hard cash.
Deal me in.
Hello I have 2 echo dots and an echo subwoofer. Can I use them 5:51 thru my cable system as a home theater 2:00pm
Aw shucks, 10/100 LAN? Damn, need to dig out those old switches from 1994 now! Back to 2024, still no Wifi 7 chip, from 2023? I don't mind comparing this with my SMSL DO100 Pro if I can get a loaner!
Spoilt rich kid having a tantrum 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spend the extra for a Sabaj A30a nice dac lots of power, dsp settings that work! But the marantz is a great amp, paired with Q acoustic or dali speakers .
Interesting streamer, nice price.
Hi. I bought the WiiM mini 2 years ago. Fab bit of kit. Then noticed it having awful problems with connecting to my WiFi. (Sky). I thought it must be broke (kids in the house, it’s the size of a puck). The 2nd one also wouldn’t connect to my Sky WiFi. I emailed WiiM, who did reply promptly saying they are aware of connection difficulties with Sky Q broadband WiFi but that I’d have to change settings within my broadband. Not a chance. Above my pay grade and way too complex for me. I’ve sold one WiiM mini and given one away. Both working perfect on non sky WiFi set ups. I’ve since bought a marantz PM7000n. No connection issues at all. I really hope that WiiM ensure it not an issue on products going forward. I was not prepared to risk getting the WiiM pro or pro plus sadly. And will not get this either until I can be assured of connection. Cheers. Dave.
Good to have genuine feedback! Let’s get past the hype.
Wiim devices are known to have poor wifi connectivity = mine are all hardwired
@@bristolwoodburners81yep. I did the hard wire part. But from the router to the location of my stereo was not practical at all. So it had to go. But before a sky q WiFi update it was fine. No issues at all.
If you think about the genius in this world from Artists, Singers and Musicians, then you choose to play that negro sounding Rap drivel at 100 mph? For gods sake man, get some class ! But, I do send my thanks despite the ghastly, infantile, ridiculous and gangster sound because this then makes me more determined that I shall NOT be buying the Wharfedale's.
If I were to visual you just from your comment I'd imagine an ex army officer with a big grey handle bar moustache, sat in a leather wing back Chesterfield chair with a glass of Cognac, listening to Rachmaninoff.
So you are doing a review on a product you haven't even touched yet? LOL
You are confusing review with overview you silly billy. LOL
@@UTILITARIANTVUK I appreciate the overview. I'm interested in the bass/subwoofer management. I have the WiiM Pro plus. It is one of the best objects I've purchased. I've had it 6 months and they have given me several software upgrades. Built in parametric EQ is awesome. I have it hooked up to a eBay 20 year old Yamaha, AVR. It just works flawlessly.
Unfortunately no XLR out like the Eversolo, Geshelli, Cambridge Audio,...? Why? For active speakers it might have been very nice to have, since it features anyway a pre-amp abd you could do a super minimalistic setup with just the speakers and this, and done.
No offense but don't do that in the beginning please. It looks s*.
I'm neither offended or stopping doing that at the beginning. 😄👍
I want one but a amp version since I’m looking to replace my all in one Aiyima D03 amp
How does it sound?
Dunno 🤷♀️ It's not out until July.
Yep i came here looking for this...surely someone went to munich and can report back
Great video. Looks like the Aiyima T10 would work well as a preamp for bridging two Aiyima 07 maxes
Squeeze lite is a software that turns the device into a Squeezebox player for those of us still running the Logitech Media Server for streaming our music. LMS is still an excellent open source software that is still being updated and supported by the community. Since Logitech discontinued making hardware players this is one way to add a new, modern piece of hardware to one’s music system.
can I use coax out for streamer to my DAC, run the DAC to audio in, then out to amp?
Yes you can.
Appreciate the response. This might be a buy for me.
Already have a Cambridge Audio MXN10 in my sights. Don’t need touchscreen, but I’ll consider the Wiim Ultra.
I have the mxn10 and tried the WiiM Pro Plus. I preferred the sound of the WiiM but kept the mxn10 because its app is a little better, it played DSD files, which the WiiM didn’t, its build quality was better and it had preset hardware buttons that I find very useful. I‘m tempted b the WiiM Ultra, too. It‘s impressive value for money.
@@hmsworcester Thanks for sharing your experience & impressions. It’s helpful. 👍🏼
Why do so many people not like wiim ? The new wiim is future proof I think because of its ability to to achieve up to 32 bits when streaming but I don’t think there are services to accommodate that ability ?? Its OS is really user friendly . Y do so many people dish on it ? I don’t think anything more pricey has this nice of a OS . Great video and thank you so much for
I guess a lot of people are stuck in prejudiced opinions, without ever experiencing the product itself. Imo, it's a great concept with down to earth prices, excellent performance AND great support.
100 thumbs up that's how product gets better they listen to people
It so strange after adding about a mm in extra spacing for a couple of weeks, speaker came with a tube inserted although not as nice as the plastic one, I ended up going back to original design. Of course the speakers in my case came with rubber feet, and I did put wire in for jumpers instead of the supplied plates. Mods change the timbre of the speaker which evidently was tested to sound like a good piano in their decay and tone. Even changing the distance a small amount from speaker bottom to plinth alters the character. It may sound a bit clearer, but the overall tone warmth is diminished imo. In other words, certain mods don't work. If you took that plastic tube and it was the same length as original that'd be a good mod to the supplied paper one I'd imagine, but I'm not even sure of that. I watched another video where I guy who mods the whole crossover, wiring, and connecting points, where he measures the response etc. didn't want to bother with this speaker because of low impedance measurement and lack of space inside box. On a speaker this inexpensive it's hardly worth getting into all of that.
Hope all the reviewers jumping on the bandwagon of “groundbreaking DAC/Streamer class D amp of the week” have sufficient medical coverage for the physiotherapy required when they tumble off at the next unannounced sharp left hand turn.
I preordered one yesterday. Hopefully the rca input sounds good because I’ll be plugging my phono preamp into it for my turntable
Same ...take my money wiim
I'd give it a try before over priced Ever Solo. Definitely getting one.
I find coax cleaner sound then the optical cable
Coax also allows a higher bitrate transmission than toslink.
its black i like it
I am not a fan of touch screens, prefer actual buttons as I hate fingerprints on the screens, that said my PM7000N does all the streaming I need and I’ll stick with that :)
