Pretty close indeed. The Nobsound is fresh out the box.

Excellent test, again. The Nobsound sounds great. The Rotel sounds more open, more fresh in the treble. The tube amp sounds more weighty.

Could you make a group test with the Aiyima and the Fosi....??? That would be interesting.

I marginally prefer the Rotel, but the drums sound better to me with the Nob.

Could you run a dj mixer into the B100? I really like the look of the valve amps compared to solid state ones.

I did at KZread hear no difference between the Rotel and B100. All my dacs and amps do not have or use tonecontrole my Qobuz streams sound how they are recorded. I will buy one. My alternatives are the amps of Kinma Hypersonics, Chinese TOP!

Fun reviews that are having me consider boxing lessons. I was wondering why the Chinese companies weren't doing more class AB builds as there are cheap low power chips like the TDA7377 that sound really good. A significant cut above the class D offerings and don't put out much heat (Not more than a TPA3255 anyway) but I guess the power they can advertise with is too low. (A clean 10 watts into 8 ohm?) People don't understand watts anyway. I've probably never used more than 10 Watts in my livingroom (that will have me running out screaming) and 99% of my listening is within 1 Watt. I can understand the argument for headroom but I'd gladly sacrifice "some" for sound quality.

I agree, these class D amps claim a lot of watts but don't seem to sound any more powerful than a 40 watt class A/B design?

Hahaha I loved that "snake oil" put the price up of those cables to £1000 😄. I kid you not, I saw some speakers cables (not speakers) on ebay the other day for £38,000. Just put speakers in search and then sort from Highest Price to Lowest and see what comes up, they probably still there. £38k for speaker cables?? Is that not insane??

My favourite snake oil pieces are the £1000+ toslink and HDMI cables. Because apparently you can improve a digital signal 😂😂😂😂😂

Rotel also sounds more coherent and has better transients, Nobsound a little bit more mushy and disorganized.
