Letters to an Asexual #91 ("Ever wonder why you're SINGLE??")
This is #91 of a series in which I read correspondence between me and people who have questions, comments, or--more often--misconceptions about asexuality. In this video, a man refuses to process my plainly stated preferences and keeps talking to me like he knows I want a relationship, and then tries to blame my "attitude" for why I'm shockingly still single in my 30s. Hilarious!

I mean it'll certainly go slow! Slower than a dead snail! 8D Why are these people blinder than deep sea creatures and deafer than me? Will I EVER understand?? Also you have a very nice top this vid, it makes me think of the calm zen zone of the Stanley Parable games. I hear the music now~ (Ohh it's a dreeeeessss!!!) I'd love to look closer at the bookshelf as well~ Love a good bookshelf.
It is even weirder when this happens on Facebook. I have had guys message me surprised when I tell them how long I had been on their. It took a while but, I realized they think it is a dating site. They also try to convince me that the only point of friendships is that they lead to romance and sex. Oh, and I LOVE your dress. Next time stand on a chair so you we can see the whole thing.
Friendship always meant the most to me, i am asexual so i do wonder if that's why but i think if i weren't i would still see friends as the most valuable kind of relationship to me. Friends stick by you but from what i see of sexual relationships around me they are very often ending after a few months or years, it seems silly to me to put these above friendship but being asexual i do wonder if there is something i just don't understand.

"Ever wondered why you're single." Because i want to... But apparently a young guy as myself in his early 20s can't possibly have a desire to be single. P.S: in March 8th of this year (my birthday number 21) i reached unassailable aceness, 🎉Yay but not so yay.

Yes. I'm not familiar with the artist but I did watch the video. I'm not sure what aspect of the issue you'd like to see addressed though? The trolls all say all the same crap to her that I've been dealing with for 2 decades, so I am not sure what I can say that would be fresh, you know? Unless maybe you want to have something specific to her discussed that I might not know about?
