My best hope for this franchise is at least an animated series. 2d or 3d I don’t care. As long as it continues.
Replicator Wraith - the Replicators in our universe choose Ancients as their template - but there's no reason they couldn't choose any other form as a template.
If they do the same as they did with Star Trek with the original series and TNG, then this could potentially work. Bringing back the original cast members either in cameos or some ongoing capacity would create the nostalgia for those who enjoyed the original series.
I have watched both SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis..I would definitely watch it.
Maybe the creaters had the right idea to stop at the end of season 5 when they returned to earth . If it was meant to continue Altantis wouldn't have left the Pegasus Galaxy at all and found another way to warn Earth that the Wrathe was coming .
So I want a hard reboot, the series felt like it got off the rails with Humans becoming the dominate, technologically advanced power of the galaxy with Asgard and Ancient tech when we're suppose to be the scrappy underdogs. I'm okay with veteran actors returning for guest roles as long as they are new characters. I want the gate secret, the knowledge of alien life outside Earth and the threat of the Goa'uld would have a massive impact on the world and that would require a lot of time to do justice, maybe that can be the focus of a latter season long b plot, but not for the first few seasons. And for tone, I want a lighter action-adventure feel, it can still touch in on more dark and dramatic moments but those moments hit harder when they aren't the norm. Aside from that I would love the show to switch between a couple of one off episodic style episodes like the original and multi-episode arcs allowing some grander stories, I'm thinking something like Star Wars: The Clone Wars or Star Trek Enterprise season 4. This would allow more resources to be spent on sets, costumes, and props as instead of just one episode they might be used for 3 or 4 episodes, which could make the planets they visit more unique and help differentiate the Goa'uld as say the Greek styled Goa'uld might have Parthenons, Hoplite inspired jaffa or galley inspired ships and more cultures could be explored this way while giving the galaxy a sense of scale as not every Goa'uld ship/planet/jaffa would look the same or act the same. And a nice bonus is more time to dig into interesting questions, give plot points and chatterers time to breath in the story and still spend plenty of time on those big action scenes.
Man, I wish there was a new show
Stargate having p90s is always the reason I've chosen those weapons in video games
I really love the the Starships were something humanity had to earn over 5 Seasons. It wasnt just handed to them and it felt amazing when it happend. Also Chekov was, despite his short cmings, a good man. I would have loved to see more of him. Same with the Sun Tzu. It would have been so intersting to have Chinese in the show as a triangle of Americans, Russian and Chinese all going over missions on their own way.
It is not fair that there is no new series of this franchise. If you have rights about it, you have to use it. If you don’t do that, why do you have rights? We are not retired General!!! We have been waiting to watch new stories of Stargate since 2011 😅( except for mini web series )
Of course i would for the effects alone
I would like a new show or movie to break new ground. A continuation of canon but new story and characters. Its a big universe. There is a lot of story to tell.
Walter, OG Legend
The stories that were not able to produce they should do comic books if they have not done so. Just an idea.
For the question should the stargate be remained secret or public. I would probably like to see the stargate public. However, it's for military use or for humanitarian emergencies. That way, you could still have all of that drama on who controls the stargate and some of the secret activity which it's involved with, like the current military of the world. We can get more spaceships for Earth. Like a human transport ship.
I miss this series. Now I have to make SG Atlantis watching - marathon
As long as it wasnt woke existing canon
i know just enough about VFX and animation to be hitting myself that it took me this long to realize the MONUMENTAL achievement of The Replicators being as good as they are.
Practical effects are always amazing.
Nope, wraith are too strong mentally, could it take a male like tod, maybe, could it control a queen, never!
i think we need a new stargate, but this time, we should put a chick in it, and make it gay.
BSG 2004 and TNG were miracles that we’re still a bit of a tough sell for some fans of what came before them. And they shared similar DNA in Ronald Moore.
I am here for as long as they don’t crap on the legacy and spirit of what came before. As long as it’s not made by people who hate the fans of the franchise. Forgive my caution but that seems to be the trend these days. Too much time has probably passed to resume any of the three series except maybe SGU though…which I absolutely loved by the way
Yes because I would keep in mind that alternative universes and multiverse even multi-multiverse would mean micro-evolution to macro-evolution evolutionary process with transitional forms, and transitional fossils.
'THEY' just can't make good shows no more. *Now it's all about the 'MESSAGE'!*
Oh wow, I thought that Thor and the others were puppets, like on Farscape. That's really cool.
I miss the Oldbis.
Lets be honest. Season 5 was a big turn down in quality and the show was already played out. We did not need another SG-1 where it should have ended 3 years earlier without the horrendously bad storylines that came after the end of the threat of the Goa'uld.
Off topic guys but - Have you ever had any info or planned interviews to discuss the Destiny and it's apparent mission to find the long distant signal from the universe' origin? It was an unfinished story but I'm dying to know 😬😫
Here is writer and executive producer Paul Mullie on this very topic: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qK6Al7JweNeWac4.htmlsi=EEGE9EBTn1NDjLc2
absolutely
why in the hell was it "lost" it hasn't been just filmed yet? re**rds!
SGU ending is as heart breaking as Firefly, just unfair and not enough. However… we needed Rumplestiltskin, so Dr Rush had to go on Ice
I would love to watch a new Stargate, I can’t wait 😊
Maybe the Furling portal doesn't filter out Goa'uld weapons, but instead Furling weapons (which the Goa'uld adopted).
No mention of the Mark XII?
SG-1 and SGA forever. After god awful woke Stargate Origins and grapy soap opera SGU my answear is "No". Stargate is dead, let it rest in peace.
What ever happened to the tech of the kull warrior All that firepower just floating around the galaxy and just Vahla then nothing? I would kill for that armor and blaster gauntlets
I would love to read books based on scripts. Even cartoon shows.
Not Michel. He made average wrath seem understandable. His fall was not survivable. Same with Koya, Dr Wier. She if kept alive would be on replicator planet. Destroyed.
But I would have loved to see these episodes.
I felt bad for guy who played Jonas. He earned his spot. Danial actor quit. He should have only got guest spots. I hated seeing Dr. Fraser die. But it was a wonderful epesode.
I felt bad that even in the alternate universe he still had the same job. Same life lived basically ☹️
I can't believe I did the poll. I enjoyed SG-1, Atlantis and surprisingly Universe. I did expect continuation in Universe, which was darker, but it did have continuation. I think they could have the light & dark of a New Star Gate, with connection to SG-1, Atlantis & Universe. Having a public knowledge & reboot, would not be my choices, but it could become relevant to current audiences of thing in the real world. Would it become controversial for the audiences; it depends if they want to keep the series running. It could become a kiss of death for the series, as sci-fi fans love watching their series, and modern technology enables recording the show/movie for later watching versus monitoring viewing polls, it could capture number of hits, so do most audiences be watching on release or bing watch the series at a later date, like after it goes into limbo in the sky? No one expect Star Trek to continue after the series ended, but it morphed into its own classification of entertainment spawning other productions. Star Gate might not evolve into its own line, but it might stand in its own lineage. Ten seasons of SG-1 is impressive for any television show to claim, factoring in Atlantis and Universe, that is a sizable week televised production.
Yes I would watch if the characters were interesting and it wasn't some woke bullshit. If woke is what they do, I won't bother watching.
I never would have let Atlantis go back to the Pegasus Galaxy. I’d keep Atlantis in San Francisco Bay, cloaked, & have all their adventures go from there. Why would Earth’s governments want to so easily & readily just give up Atlantis to go all about the Galaxies, willy-nilly?? I find that idea stupid and not very well thought out. In my Stargate Universe, Atlantis stays on Earth, helping to defend it from all sorts of inter-galactic threats & enemies.
The best version of Stargate
i want a god dam game
I can't believe they cancelled it in the first place. Stargate Atlantis is the best Sci Fi show of all time - even better than the other Stargate franchises !!!
i loved star gate sg1, and I gradually liked Atlantis as well.. but the newer ones after that lost me. would likely one watch new ones made now, if they get really good reviews.
Yes
SG1, SGA were great. Action, humor, fun. SGU to much conflict, serious, and not fun..
