STARGATE VIEWERS loved watching Richard Dean Anderson's Colonel Jack O'Neill spar with his foes, bringing his signature wit and humor to those over-the-top science fiction encounters. Maybe the most fun to watch was whenever Jack was cornered by Herak, an ambitious Jaffa who would become First Prime to Anubis himself.
Actor Michael Adamthwaite played the role with such beautiful intensity that Herak became a great foil for O'Neill, and an angry straightman for Anderson's on-set improvization. In this conversation with "Dial the Gate" Michael talks about working on SG-1, how RDA and the directors made these scenes so much fun ... and that time the guest star accidentally injured the star of the show.

Harak, on GateWorld with David? Still failing upwards I see. David has had some great interviews but I have to put this one with Michael very high up on the list. What a great person Michael is. Funny, good sense of humor, great stories, and humility. Would like to have seen more of him on the show. What an awesome interview.

Hopefully you have him on again. If so, ask him about putting the frame of the Eye of Ra into his chest piece. That always seems awkward. As if they didn't check that it would fit right beforehand.

I think it'll happen. Still hopeful it will be announced this year. But I've run out of patience when it comes to covering a project they just can't figure out how to get done.
