Chris Judge Watches Stargate OUTTAKES (Dial the Gate)
Ойын-сауық
FILMING ON STARGATE SG-1 was a hoot by every account, and despite playing the show's most serious and stoic character Christopher Judge was usually the first to crack a joke or break out laughing. Now, more than 15 years after the show ended, "Dial the Gate" is putting the "Teal'c" actor in the hot seat to watch his own outtakes!
These clips come from Chris's coverage in the fan-favorite episodes "Window of Opportunity" and "Wormhole X-Treme!" Special thanks to Joseph Mallozzi for providing the outtakes. In addition to watching himself break on camera Chris talks with host David Read and special guest Jenny Stiven about the atmosphere on the set of SG-1, supporting each other during tough scenes, and also having a lot of fun together.
This clip is from Dial the Gate's full-length, 70-minute conversation with Chris. Watch the full interview here: • 200: Christopher Judge...

Teal'c's stoicism in the face of adversity always made him a role model to me, and it makes me so happy to know that Christopher Judge is living a life full of happiness and laughter.

He was SGC's version of Spock. Or Tuvok.

@@DanielAppleton-lr9eq Indeed, and even Data. I know that from a technical standpoint they let the actors have more freedom in their portrayals, but it also had the effect of letting Teal'c discover his "humanity" throughout the seasons. It was just some really great storytelling.

@@TaftisBack I like Teal'cs popular culture references sown throughout the series. He goes from asking " what is an Oprah ? " in the 2nd ( ? ) episode to being fairly well - versed in " Die Hard " several seasons later. The man just wants to fit in !

The Greek stoics were famously some of the happiest of their peers because they learned to not sweat the small stuff
It's right there in Bra'tac's memoirs how he had to keep lecturing his young protege Teal'c, "if you keep smiling like that, your face is going to freeze that way. And then, how will you scare the other Jaffa?"
Whaaaat?! Bloopers? And an actors reaction on top? AND Chris Judge?! I love you. Absolutely incredible. Thank you

I watched a panel with Chris at a comicon last year and it was so great. As soon as he came on stage he said "let's just get this out of the way" and said Indeed and Boy from Stargate/God of War. It was a great way to start and nod at his recognition for the two characters.
Any time I see Christopher Judge NOT as Teal'c, it's so strange to me. Such an iconic character, and such PHENOMENAL performance in the role. Whenever I hear his voice, it's the same thing. Watching Chris just crack up at the end of a take is unreal, he makes the stoic look SO easy, unbelievable acting, for sure. Dangit Chris don't break the fourth wall.
I just love to see Christopher's smiles and laughs, a shame we didn't get see more. ❤

@@awayfrommydeskjc He was in Farscape for a few episodes. Dude was as Stoic as a judge. A Vulcan judge.
I always figured maintaining the stoicism of Teal'c was a challenge for Chris. He has such a huge personality!
Bring back Stargate ❤❤❤

Like most things now, I don't think great shows can be revived without being absolutely destroyed by weak, pathetic writers and you know what I mean. Stargate SG-1 was one of those special shows with a great cast and writing. I mean, look at The Sopranos. David Chase comes back and lays a huge stinky pile of shit on us with The Saints of Newark. Somethings just cannot be recreated, they were the right ingredients at the right time and I believe SG-1 is another one of those IMO.

@@Straight_Adam only if it's in the same spirit and not a "new" thing for "broader audiences" like they call it. It's already family friendly in many ways and you never see any gore or anything sexual (exception for Vala being naughty but it's mostly talk), womens are as important as men, Goa'ulds are literally transgender. What needs to be done right is writing, especially the humor, hiring scientific and military consultants, to not put to much drama and long ass stories that stretches entire seasons. Episodes with a one time story are great and it doesn't have to affect the main plot but still give a lot in character development. It's really about the small details
Infectious laughter 😂 There should have been more lighthearted Teal'c episodes 😄

As long as it's not like that one episode of Strange New Worlds, where some magical radiation makes everyone sing.
Watching Christopher cracking up like this is HILARIOUS! 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic to see Christopher Judge. More Stargate, please!
Such an animated, infectious laugh, I love it 😂
I like to remember when I was a kid, turning on a small TV station here in Germany and discovering Stargate. I've been obsessed with this series ever since. It's incredible how much love the actors and everyone involved in the production put into this show.
Chris Judge’s smile is so beautiful it warms my heart every time.
It's impressive how quickly he can compose himself
Chris' laugh is simply so amazing, so contagious! What an amazing person he is!! ❤❤
I always wondered how Teal'c was able to keep that earlier frown look going at the funniest moments, and even just a straight face and do the Eyebrow thing without busting out laughing. I would love to talk to Chris for even like ten mins he's always been one of my favorites, him and Michael Shanks were so good at not breaking character when RDA was doing some wild shit and cracking jokes left and right. You guys are so lucky to be friends with these folks and get to have long conversations like this. Very cool, super cool
There was already a smirk forming at the noise of the sauce splurping out of the bottle while he sat down, impressive that he kept it under control
I miss stargate..
OMg ! he is the best ! he does the best straight face !! Judge is awesome! he needs to do more movies!
Daaaamn, Chris is looking GOOD! Was wonderful to see some of the man behind the ever stoic character, I love this kind of candid chat and the genuine reactions were great.
Iv seen some of his Stargate bloopers on KZread - sometimes he's clicking his finger dancing singing laughing posing. Funny stuff to watch.
Love Chris. Thank you so much for these.
Thanks for sharing ❤
The second clip is testament to "laughter is contagious". I was laughing as hard as Christopher and I don't know why. Loved it!
I miss Stargate SO MUCH. I grew up watching the Original Stargate movie and then watching EVERY SINGLE episode of every Stargate tv show as they aired. I grew up watching Christopher judge and wishing so badly to be like him. Its so sad that they have yet to bring back Stargate, i was so disappointed when they ended Stargate Universe the way they did without EVER getting to see what the ending COULD have been or WHERE Destiny was going. I REALLY wish they would bring the show back so we could FINALLY get some answers.
loving this
C'est incroyable de découvrir toutes ces scènes. C'est là que l'on se rend compte de tout le travail et le grand talent de Chris
Love this! Never seen this side of Teal'c and it's hilarious! Christopher is magnificent 😂
Christopher Judge is incredible 🤩
A lot of very funny outtakes.
the laugh after "keep on rolling" was so contagious.
I got a good laugh from this! Thanks😂
Christopher the god slayer
bro has an entire naquadah generator in the back
So iconic
Seriously, Chris Judge (and all the others that made it happen) Thank you for the stories!! Well Played, Lets get this show back on the air now more than ever we need to put aside our PETTY differences and look to the stars - that is what content like this inspires us to do. Humans are apparently super stupid and we need a good story to motivate us into action, but then we are unstopable.
Sweet!
Its funny how big his smile is and makes the contrast from his standard stoic face even more funny.
Window of Opportunity is my favorite SG-1 episode in the whole series
good jobz.
Gosh, I miss Stargate SG-1 ⭐ #Stargate #StargateSG1 #StargateAtlantis #StargateUniverse
How does he do that? He just drops back into that stoic Teal'c stare like it's nothing...
Considering how stoic Teal'C normally was, it would have been absolutely hilarious if THIS Wormhole Extreme trailer was what made him just crack up. If I was in the director's chair, I'd do what I could to use it. I mean, it was one of the comedy episodes anyway, why not enjoy it.
Christopher Judge rules.
Chris Judge was great on Andromeda as The Wrath of Achilles. I have some videos of that episode on my channel.
If the Judge keeps laughing and smiling like that, then Teal'c's face will develop crow's feet that cannot be explained by his forever stoic lack of expression.
Bring back stargate
❤❤
This is what 18 hour days will do to a fella Cheers Chris
Hilarious
Random comment, when is the Stargate project going to happen? Ronald started the Star Wars program/project. We need a Stargate program now.😂
I N D E E D
Is there any chance you all will be doing another State of the Gate with Jenny since Amazon announced a bunch of MGM layoffs and I think that included some in their creative and scripted departments, so I was wondering if and how that's going to affect Stargate now. Any plans to get together and talk about it?

I haven't heard anything yet, as DTG is currently on hiatus. I'm sure David will want to do something once he's kicked off the new season of conversations.
There's a stargate channel on pluto
The thought that these actors have almost all aged out is very sad considering nothing new is coming anytime soon. Anything and everything new will be a reboot/remake, it will not include the same actors, writers or lore.
Wasn't there one where Christopher Judge let rip into a space suit and it was soo bad they had to shut down production for the rest of the day, and even the higher ups said about it
Just to make sure that I'm not going crazy, this is a reupload right?
