    They didn't need to trade up to get Reese. Minnesota wasn't going to select her anyway. You, like everybody else, see Reese as a scrub, yet she keeps putting up numbers and winning championships at every level she plays. People always claim her selection to anything is some roll of the dice. That's the same thing they said when she went to LSU, and she managed to do just fine and win a championship, something the so-called god of basketball couldn't pull off. People don't hate Reese and her game because they know basketball. They just hate the person she is, and, like you, talking heads are perfectly willing to use bashing her to secure their channel with clicks and something to talk about because they can't seem to come up with the creativity to put our great content. So what? Everybody hates Reese and her game, but nobody hates the subject of Angle Reese so much that they can't stop trying to make themselves relevant by analyzing her every breath, word, and move. If her game is so awkward and raggedy, and you find her so distasteful, why do you constantly spend your time making content with her in it? I really find it odd? Find someone's game that you appreciate and talk about them? You act like Reese is the only player in the center of the universe who does something unorthodox or who has a nontraditional game on the planet. I come to the channel to hear about Kamilla Cardosa, and you spend the bulk of the video talking about what Reese can't do playing a position that she isn't likely to play due to the fact that the Sky has a starting center.

    Definitely Not a scrub. BUT Angel has no mid range shot in her bag. If she wants to be elite, she needs to develop that mid level threat. Otherwise, she'll be a defensive star at one end and offensive liability at the other.

    You could be right about Kamilla but that would be worse case. According to her she’ll be back in a couple weeks and she’s been seen doing one on one drills with T Spoon as recent as yesterday but we’ll see. That being said she could have to do surgery later too as you pointed out.

    You must not know of the center they have in Williams or watch their preseason games. Don’t get me wrong, Cardoso is a great player and her presence will be missed for now but let her nurse her shoulder for a lil while cuz the Sky will need her towards the end of the season and the playoffs. I know she was battling some injuries in college and coming off of the championship run with SC is prob a lot on her body and she needs to rest. It’s only been a little over a month since the tournament

    James Wade James Wade the trade that never stops giving uh? However, I feel truly bad for the player Cardoso who now has a potentially longterm injury. I wished her all the best and a speedy recovery. Also, it’s now on Angel Reece to develop her complete game especially that outside jump shot. If she does develop that outside shot we could have a supper star in the making. I honestly wish Cardoso and Chicago all the very best.

    Thought a read a few years ago that Megan Duffy would be considered as Geno's successor. Which would pain me as a Notre Dame fan. Don't get me wrong I want Niele Ivey to be Irish coach for life, but should Niele ever want to leave (like to coach her son in the NBA) then Megan would be the one I'd want to replace her.

  • @VecksJanae

    The difference I think with Geno and like a Pat Summit retirement, Muffet, or Tara is that Geno is still signing top players out of high school more than anyone else. You would think since UConn hasn’t won a championship since 2016 the new generation wouldn’t still view it the same way other top players use to and that’s just not the truth if you look at his signings. Yes not all good players are just going to UConn anymore but alot of them still are. since 2016. he’s signed Megan Walker, Christyn Williams, Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, and Sarah Strong. that’s five top recruits in nine years. That’s why I think it’s hard for him to walk away. I think he still likes proving that he can still get any kid he wants, even though narrative pushers swear kids don’t still wanna play at UConn. I thought the Strong signing would be key to the direction of if these younger kids really still look at UConn the same especially when SC got into the hunt for Strong. With SC being kinda the hot spot right now. I thought SC stealing her away would be almost like Geno stealing Maya away from Tennessee at the last second. Tennessee recruiting wise never recovered from that if you really think about it. But these kids still wanna be coached by Geno and I think that’s what genuinely is keeping him in it. I don’t think Geno cares about competing with Dawn or some of the younger coaches because he knows those aren’t his contemporaries. Tara, Muffet, and Pat were. So I don’t think he’s still coaching for titles. He’s coaching for the players at this point imo.

    Geno has a full cupboard right now. He's probably really looking forward to next season, with all of his returning players plus his great recruiting class. I can't see him doing a Tara VanDerveer, and bailing on UConn after leaving the cupboard bare for the next coach. Thanks to Tara, Stanford's going to be a weak sister next year, and will take one beating after another from their opponents. Geno may leave after next season, confident that his replacement will inherit a great returning class.

    One factor that I think will keep him around longer than people expect is that he and his family (including his grandchildren) are very tied to the local area and he has stated he has no intentions to move. When you know you're planning on living 20 minutes away until you die instead of moving to Florida, that makes it easier to say you might as well keep the job while you're healthy.

    Just thought about it today. Why would the Storm use their first pick on Nika if they didn't have a good idea she fit their scheme? Plus Sue Bird, a UCONN alum, is in the front office. Nika broke her assist record.

  • @back2sports988
    @back2sports98819 сағат бұрын

    that is the point. Anybody drafted by the Storm was doomed to be cut. The other option is that they cut Nika and re sign her after first game and then cut Melbourne as could bring back Nika on lower salary if cut and not signed by other teams. TBD. People feel like Victoria Vivians will be cut and Nika and Melbourne will both be kept I have seen this is comments . I don't see that happening as Vivians 6'1 averaged 17 min last season going 5pts, 3 reb, 1.3 ast. (but in not very efficient) but don't see then keeping 2 back up PG when the have Diggins-smith. So yes i think Nika will be cut. Sorry. TBD as i might be wrong.
