We take a look at the WNBA draft and do are own mock draft. Really what we want to know is who will be draft first at each position.

@@Lilquan2004 that's a good question, and I personally like Reese over Edwards but I think Washington will take Edwards in this scenario. Sparks already have multiple posts that can stretch the floor that stand 6’4. The biggest issue with them from what I understand is rim protection. They can’t risk losing Cardoso to someone else. You get her at 2 or risk drafting a big that resembles the ones you already have. Also it’s hard for me to envision Brink being a rim protector at the professional level being so light in the pants and standing just 6’4 herself regardless of her college stats. If Brink can improve on her size and strength why didn’t she do it the last 4 years in college? She’s had the same build for 4 years. It’s a grown woman league and you need a grown woman in the paint now to help win now. It’s important to note that while there are some instances to the contrary professional sports organizations don’t develop talent it merely displays it.

#1 Sparks are not in Win now mode #2 Brink will play the 4 #3 the 6'4'' and taller other than Stevens {who is hurt and out for the near future] don't appear to be in Kurt's complete revamp of the roster #4. Cardoso at the 5 and Brink at the 4 Stevens at the 3 Brurrell at the 2 the future #5 Last place finish Bueckers at the #1 for the 1 *Bonner 6'4'' /143 now..lighter when she entered the league 2009 Brink will be a monster just like has been .

Gotcha. I like your vision and ultimately hope it works out that way. I would just take Kamilla at the 2 as I would rather risk missing on Brink than Kamilla. Pure guess, but NY at #11 needs a back up guard who can defend. Sabrina and Sloot got cooked on defense in each playoff series last season. Washington, Connecticut and Vegas attacked them darn near each time down the floor. Muhl will be able to provide much needed perimeter defense (along with Laney at the 3) and she can run the offense w/o demanding shots (NY has enough shooters/scorers).

@@TheDisruptiveOne - I can see them taking Taylor also. As long as they take a perimeter defender then it's smart. We'll see if they go for the recency bias and take Muhl or go w/ Taylor. I have no super strong feelings either way. I also want to add that I think Muhl's gritty style and UConn being relatively close would make her a fan fav in Brooklyn (not that Taylor isn't gritty, but just saying).
I think Greece may be a wasted pick I say this because what if she decides to go overseas and play so she can make more money I think she wants more money versus being able to play in the WNBA Terry and I don't blame her so that's why I say I wonder if that will be a wasted pick

Happy day for you
Reese may surprise people. She has just enough ego to do very well.

I actually think Brink would slip to 4 quicker than Cardoso. Regardless of accolades and stats you can’t teach 6’7 and she’s already got experience banging with professionals internationally. Can’t just leave something like that on the board.

Angel is a real basketball player she can grab rebounds and Push she really the female Draymond the fact they don’t see it is crazy to me. I would match her up with Cardosa have her be the rim protecter and you can surround them with shooters and Angel and run offense from the free throw for you. It’s insane Warriors just did this.

I do agree with you that the WNBA draft shouldn't go beyond the first round. After Cameron Brink is picked at 2 I can't seem to decide the order of the other picks. Some mock drafts have Nika Muhl going near the end of the first round but I just dont see it. I'm a UCONN fan but I don't see Muhl as an WNBA player, not enough lateral quickness, too many stupid fowls, too many needless turn-overs, and not enough scoring in crucial situations.
Umm…. First PG off the board was Caitlin Clark. 😉

Angel reese's last game reminded us that she deserves to be a top 5 pick
So dumb to go Brinks over Angel if you’re going to pick Cardosa. Angel is going to be Draymond MAN. She also plays maniacal defense. You put her at the free throw and get a shooter next maybe you mess around get top pick. Now you got the WNBA version of the warriors. She can Grab rebounds and start offenses and she’s a gifted ball handler and passer for her size. She get an elbow Jumper and it’s on.
Clark is not a point guard Marshal ran the point but she handles the ball. Reece has a broke as jump shot and any team getting her is dealing in fools gold.
