The fact that you didn’t cover Caitlin as much as most other channels is why I subbed. I wanted other perspectives on other players. Thank you!

I cannot tell you how much I enjoy your analysis and predictions overall. Whether I agree or not, I enjoy your takes. But mostly, thanks so much for covering the ENTIRETY of WNCAA ball and not just CC. I, too, love CC, but with so many compelling teams, most media focused on her alone. I get it... For them, it's magical. But while diehards like us, respect her offensive prowess, we know it takes more than a superstar shooter to win championships. This was a fantastic season. Now, more people understand what we already knew about these fantastic athletes. Keep up the great work, it's appreciated.

She's really the best coach in the country it's not just due to the talent on her team. Even with all the starters lost she still had the team playing at an elite level. And she found a way to win even on her team's off days (vs. Tennessee). With Geno you could argue his championship teams were great more because of their talent than his ability to coach. Dawn is great at Xs and Os and recruiting.

How do you then explain Geno coaching a decimated team with 2 starting freshman to the final 4? I see that argument for the championship runs with Breanna strewart and co. But to say he’s not a good coach without talent is just blatant ignorance of what he’s managed to achieve this year.

SC fans are always trying to downplay why UConn won. Does SC’s 2022 title not matter because they had the NPOTY in Boston? This year we could argue that SC only won because they were the most healthy tons of other teams had key pieces out injury. So relax

@@VecksJanae😂 geno won all those rings because wbb wasn't a priority at most schools and he could recruit all the best talent and dominate every year But once the field became equal and he couldn't get all the best players anymore he stopped winning and hasn't won in almost a decade and probably won't win again College coaches are basically just glorified recruiters anyway so when schools started putting money and resources into wbb and girls realized that they could go to any school in the country and not just two that was end of uconn's "dynasty"

Kamilla Cardoso is super rare bird... 6ft 7in height is a 1 in ~35 million thing vs. average US women's height... but also Cardoso's movement and shooting touch is well above average compared to other bigs this year. Kamilla's impact on the inside simply changes games.. blocks, rebounds, scoring.. allows SC guards to be super aggressive as they know they got back-up in the paint. Dawn likes big everything.. guards, forwards, wings.. and this season her biggest adjustment was to LET THE KIDS SHOOT.. especially from 3pt line. SC is not the best shooting/scoring team.. but the dynamic of having solid-to-average shooters and well-above average defense is an age-old winning concept that UCONN and Stanford and Tennessee and many other programs have used to win the national championship. Iowa played their game.. they couldn't stop SC inside.. and they didn't outscore SC outside enough to make up the difference. There are many ways to win games. Cardoso was a big reason why Iowa couldn't get those extra inside points.. and SC is going to miss having someone with her skills next season.

We will truly miss Kamilla, but we won 5 games without her. We've got Tac at 6'5", she's been compared to A. Boston. Also we have the NATIONAL GATORADE HIGH SCHOOL PLAYER OF THE YEAR, Joyce Ewards who is a very viable post or forward threat. We will be LOCKED AND LOADED for 2024-2025.

Back 2 Sports what you mentioned about the reasons Coach Staley was emotional is 50% correct but there is another half to the story, especially with this inexperienced team THIS season. Gamecock WBB FAMs have never seen coach cry after a win, we’ve only seen excitement, but this 🏆 hits different and the FAMs understand why…Thank u for the awesome season of telling WCBB stories; you covered the landscape not just ONE team. Raven held Caitlin to 7 points while she was guarding her. Cait scored 18 in the first qtr alone on Bree Hall. Hall would again help in the second half. Raven would’ve shut her down even more if she would’ve been on her from the start.

iowa needed to get 5 top shooters to round out their offense. A center over 6'6'' should have been top of their list. SC went out and got a bus full of shooters and Iowa stayed with their so-so shooters. I hope iowa learns from this you need close to a dozen young shooters or forget it. One Caitlin is only good for 30 points which left them short and tired..while SC kept sending out fresh legs playing 10 minutes a game. Unless you are going to compete with the best you are only fodder for them. You can build their record of wins or you can challenge them every year. I say go shopping so you can challenge them..being fodder is such a heavy burden that only insures you get only left over players.

Hey, is there a list of all of the players currently in the transfer portal? Since in many cases these players have a bigger impact on the team that they are joining than those teams' new recruiting class, it would be nice to know everybody available. BTW, if there isn't a list, someone should make one.

I agree. Tessa Johnson should have gotten some sort of award. Also, if you check the stats from last year’s game, Alexis Morris held Caitlin Clark to 30 points as well, compared to the elite game this year, where she scored 41. No one seems to have noticed that. We all know LSU defense needed work this year. All Iowas team members points were 13 & under against LSU, whereas against South Carolina, it appears the same, although Kate Martin got 16 points. It is clearly evident that a lot of offensive strategies by LSU, were the same. To stay on Clark & provide constant pressure on her was already done before Nikita Muhl or Raven Johnson. Ask Alexis Morris & see what she says? Also, Jasmin Carson came off the bench & scored 21 points, compared to SC doing the same. The rebound was better last year as well. Maybe it’s time to for coaches to circle back. Get the bodies stacked like Coach Staley. IOWA got burnt out, just like LSU first game against SC. LSU was dominating & went on a run, just like Iowa. Getting more bodies & fresh legs is the key. Maybe these coaches need to adopt Coach Staley strategy. Even the playing field. To say, IOWA should have had the chance to beat LSU is bogus. LSU won by 17 points. How many did SC win by? Really? Uh……..ok
