While I loved HBO back in the day and was VERY grateful when I was younger to watch these fights live, this was not a great card; Tyson was fighting a permanent second-tier contender in Stewart (who was very protected by his team for his while career), always losing to fighters with real ability; Chavez was fighting a total nobody who's record was heavily padded with 0-x opponents; this was that guy's last pro fight. It was a chance for HBO to try to attract viewers by having a card with the big names.

Only 2 boxers utilized the peak a boo style. Tyson and Patterson. They were the youngest to be heavyweight champs. Both mentored by Cus D amato and had short reigns. That style of boxing is not conducive to a long career.

I must say the “God factor” was definitely at play in that fight, foreman stood all through the rounds, taking all that beating in the hands of Moore,some one who is way younger and faster is simply out of this world then the one blow that did the magic wasn’t even that hard compared to what we saw Moore dish out on foreman but he felt the impact, well is safe to say that when God is on your side, you can never go wrong.

What's causing the lagging and dropouts in this video is not that it was recorded on VHS, but that it was digitally encoded by a cheap ass computer that didn't have the processing power to handle a long video. It was simply done wrong then uploaded without a care in the world. Still, we're grateful to have this.

Larry and Mike sat next to each other for over an hour a few years ago at Turning Stone Resort in upstate NY talking about this fight and a few other things. Larry said he heard a knock on his door, it was Don King. King told Larry "Larry, I got a fight for you". Larry asked "Who?" King responds "Mike Tyson." Larry says "Mike Tyson? Don, I can't beat that kid, I've been retired for 2 years.". King replies "I'll give you 3 million dollars." Larry says "Where's Mike at?"
