Given all this talent and training I don't understand the sloppy hand-offs. It's radically different than the relays I ran. But that was a long time ago. The person with the baton had to place it into the hand of the receiver who was trailing his hand behind him. We practiced until we knew based on the approaching runners speed when the receiver could take off. Done properly you'd get the baton at about half speed maybe faster and accelerate before exiting the hand off zone. Smooth, little loss of time and you didn't look back over your shoulder to locate the baton. These days it appears the receivers just stand there waiting for their teammates to arrive, get the baton, then take off. There were probably more instances and disqualifications back in the day when the receivers ran out of the hand off zone without the baton, but that's why you practice. What else has changed that causes this loss of time during the hand offs? Please spare me the OK Boomer BS.

Bermuda is North Atlantic, not Caribbean. Difficult conditions. So fans should stop looking at the times and just look at who finished in what position. Also, anyone who runs their fastest in April is making a big mistake. And we all know that.

This was a disappointing grand prix. The field was poorer than other years. Actually 2024 outdoors has been slower than other years. Except on women's and men's hurdles. Miller , Tebogo. I know winter was great and noone is at his peak so far from the Olympics and trials.

well it would be funny if olympic gold would be a 10 second race and i dont even think that would be impossible seeing all these times, specially if there is head wind. it could be sprinters will be getting faster and faster this season, but right now its looking bleak. i would also like to point out tho that hurdlers generally dont like tail wind, they rather even have a slight head wind.
