I wouldn't say he has 14 years left, but certainly as much as 4 - 5 years left in his Prime. Some athletes peak very early like Bolt and seem like he was plaque with injuries before his 30th birthday. Not disagreeing with you because I'm sure he has so many years left in his prime and he is training very smart. He is not going all out in these races since he has 3 more months to get to his peak and not burn out. I am really shooting for him and Knighton to get very close to that 200m record. Knighton is very humble and I enjoy the funny show boating of Tobago.

Into a headwind at 19.94, this man is something special
Tebogo vs Lyles vs Knighton is going to be a great rivalry over the next 5yrs! Hope Simbine runs more 200s, would love to see him run sub 20s at sea level this yr. Was a shame to see him DQ'd for a false start in last yr's WC 100m Semi preventing him from making his 6th Global 100m Final in a row & would've been the 1st time ever that 3 African Men (along with Tebogo & Omanyala) would've been in a Global 100m Final, would be cool to see that happen in Paris this yr!
That was ALWAYS my strategy in the 200m. If I got to top speed too early, I would gas harder at the end and so I would do about 75% on the turn and then sling shot around the bend and increase up to top speed until about 50m left. Then try to maintain.
He ran a 20.3 split enroute to his 300m world record. He obviously had a speed reserve. I estimated he could have run 0.5 to 0.6seconds faster. That's 19.7 to 19.8. This was also into a -1.2m/s headwind. That's 19.88 with 0 wind. In March. Not all out 💀.

He been that
He's clearly in incredible form. I just hope that he continues to improve throughout the season. We haven't seen it from Tebogo before, but it isn't uncommon for southern hemisphere athletes (Makwala, Simbine, etc.) to perform very well in their late summer (which is right now) only to burn out by the time the big events hit. I think Tebogo will continue to improve throughout the year, especially since he seems to be taking his races quite easy right now, but it's not something to be taken for granted that peaking at the right time can have an added challenge for the southern African athletes.

This guy WILL break a world record. To close in on Noah Lyles like that over 200m is crqzy speed
Been saying this for a long time now. This kid is a once in a generational athlete. WATCH OUT
i think what we saw in his African races last year when he was shutting down with 20, 30 and sometimes 40m left of the race cos he had blown everyone away, and the difference in International races where he had more of a fight on his hands especially in that clash with Lyles, he needs that serious competition to push him to put more effort in and we saw that with his 19.50s and as u said was catching up Lyles, if he can stay injury free and motivated he has the potential to win any sprint from 100m all the way upto 400m akin to the likes of Niekirk

It's very early in the 2024 outdoor season, so "best times of the year so far" are going to happen frequently. Yes, he took it easy, and the time reflected it. I wouldn't call it "Something Big". Breaking 19.5, or beating Lyles, would be "Something Big".
This boy is going to surprise us, he should keep low now and wait for the main events. What a rise of an athlete, I remember seeing him in junior championships never thought he will rise this quick. Bolt records are found shaking even Wayde 400. One love from SA
