First hurdles race in 21 months is crazy & ran her 2nd fastest time ever! Good to see Michael Norman open up too at the same meet with his 2nd fastest ever opener of 44.21 (9th fastest time ever). 2:13; Favour Ofili also ran 22.34 (-2.0) into a big headwind last wkend which is roughly 22.14 (0.0) - 22.04 (2.0).

Nobody has really challeged the record before but Syd has what it takes to do it: strength, foot speed, and The Willingness to Run from Gun to Tape, going to the front and not needing a pace setter. The super critical guys here that say its only an 'average' time for the 200m and that there was an illegal tailwind are killing me 🤪🤪. 1) it's almost her first race of the season 2) she'd already run the 100m hurdles 3) she's a 400m flat / 400m hurdles runner not a specialist sprinter and 4) although a strong tailwind is beneficial on the home straight its harder to run across a strong wind on the bend. I'd also like to see any of those top sprinters try and run the 400m hurdles 😂😂

you're comment is about as ignorant as that jackass currently occupying the white house and being a communist dictator and no brains to communicate let alone put words together to be coherent. there's a reason why many 400 m specialists drop down to the 100 and 200 events. they don't have to plan on when to use their afterburners, they can just flat out run 110% from the sound of the gun going off.

I run the 200 meters and it always surprises me when I see a wind reading over the limit and they say it helped the runners when it feels to me like half the time I'm running into the wind. I'd much rather run a 200 meter in no wind than having a tailwind on the straight. What most people don't know is that over 115 meters of a 200 meter race is on the turn and most of that time a tailwind for the straight is a hindrance on the curve.

It is a good time. Great to see the athlete fit and in good shape. But it is the same time, you would expect from Klaver and Bol. For the Netherland athletes, the 200m are less important.
