Yes. What is funny is that he isn't even close to the second best athlete ever (Tyson Gay and Yohan Blake at 9.69,). They are 0.11 away from the world record. The best 3 times ever run are Bolt. Two of those (beijing 2008 and berlin 2009) were world records. He set 3 world record in the 100m, even his 9.71 is faster than Fred Kerley. In total, 8 people managed to run faster times. He only has the 15 fastest sprint time, joint with 6 (!) times of other sprinters. Bolt has 7 of the 15 fastest times ever run... Then we have Tyson Gay, Yohan Blake and Asafa Powel and Justin gatlin who all have run multiple times faster than Fred Kerley. It looks by those statistics that is is a bad sprinter, since even the american record at 9.69 is not his. He even ran at +1.4 wind, Bolt ran both his first record 9.69 at +0.0 wind (!!) amd his second at mere +0.9 wind which equalling wind reading will make Bolt even more Elite. In order for Fred to break Bolt's record he needs to be way faster than his personal best, even with +2.0 wimd it is unlikely. Given this time of year is even less likely yet, heck, even Bolt ran his fastest times in World Championship and Olympic finals. Conclusion: VERY UNLIKELY

@SamDennisGG33
16 күн бұрын
Yep, and each of Bolt's WRs were far more impressive than they first seem 9.72WR was after a rainstorm that initially cancelled the 100m, there was a 3 hour delay, Bolt ran at 11:30PM at night, and after a false start. He had about 20-30mins notice to re-warm up, it was chilly and wet, he won't have eaten properly. 9.69WR equates to a 9.63 with no showboating, so a 9.53 with a maximum wind, and all Bolt ate in Beijing was copious Chicken McNuggets, occasionally fries and apple pies. His SHOELACES WERE UNDONE in the race - he forgot to tie them. 9.58WR was only four months after a car crash where he had thorns tear into his bare feet, I believe he had to take three weeks off from training. The Berlin track was said to not be the fastest. Bolt ran slower splits at the start than he did in Beijing. He looked to his right multiple times mid-race.

You should compare times this season with previous olympic years to see if sprinters are just scaling differently given the new timeframe
I meannnn, he shut up a lot of doubters a few years ago when he pulled out of the 400 to run the 100/200. Many said he had no chance in those events and then became world champ in the 100. I’m not counting him out.
I think they updated the USADA anti-doping rules for this year. Look it up. Believe it or not this is the reason for slower times. Most world class athletes use some form of substance to get an edge.(even caffeine is monitored by usada)
Usain Bolt was THE perfect storm!! Sprinting peaked with him. Even Powell, Gay and Gatlin consistently ran sub 10sec

Love how we are talking about Bolt's record as unattainable in one of the dirtiest sports on earth and not just saying he clearly doped for it
2005-2015 was the greatest generation of sprinters of all time. we are unlikely to see such sprinters for a long time.
If Fred never "touches the 100m" again, then his Twitter statement is technically true. In logic, this is called a "vacuous truth". This term is used to describe a situation where a conditional statement is considered true because the premise (the "if" part) is never satisfied. I'm not sure this was Fred's thinking, but I just wanted to wear my Aristotle hat for a moment.
I have a feeling that Tebogo kid can break all Bolts records, the way that boy is progressing is crazy
I believe dinosaurs will return to earth before this man breaking any records

He's putting himself on heat not even Bolt spoke like that before...
I think the only person that can beat a world record is someone with exactly that attitude. People just don't say it out loud because everyone will clown them for it. What's actually sad is that nobody will support an athlete that decides to believe in himself. The sad thing is that people will clown him even more if he doesn't beat the record in his next race... and those people miss the point entirely. Unless you believe you can be the best tomorrow, you'll never be the best and it's as simple as that. It's like Babe Ruth calling his shot, you'll laugh at him if he strikes out but you'll stare in awe if he hits it. A lot of people jump right to the laughing part but if he beats the world record in a few years I hope people learn to respect the attitude that leads to greatness.
Every body gotta have a DREAM!
Let's go new vid 😁🤙
there's a very good reason why the times are slower this year. everyone is trying to peak for some event that's happening in Paris this year. can't quite remember what though.
I'd be surprised if kerley even breaks his own PB in Stockholm 😂😂
People will tell their kids to follow their dreams but laugh at this runner in the same breath. That's what's "Actually Just Sad"
It's worth noting that Usian Bolt's record has just recently surpassed Jim Hine's 100m record (1968-1983) to be the longest lasting in history (2009 - Present). Almost 15 years. So Powell is right about it being there for a very long time.
I haven't went through all of your most recent videos, but I do have a question and was wondering. What has happened to Matthew Boling? I have not heard his name in a while now and was wondering where he has been since transitioning from collegiate to pro.
Idk if he’ll break the world record in his next race or even the American record and truthfully no one does especially since we can’t see him while he’s training, but I think it’s great that he’s putting his goal out there because to me it doesn’t sound like he’s being overconfident it’s probably more likely that he made a breakthrough in practice and feels like he can replicate that in competition. I will say that hitting the same times or race execution in a race is much, much more difficult to do on the track where the world can see a lot of athletes hit way better times in practice than in competition for one reason or another. I think he’s gonna put down a pretty great time, he’s shocked the world before and I think he can do it again in his next race.
He's talking so people will talk about him. It worked. Any publicity right?
FK's NOT ever going to get the 100m or 200m WR.
8:03 BDW a Sri Lankan by the name of Yupun Abeykoon also ran a personal best of 9.96 in 2022

Good goals. But stress from such expectations can be positive & negative. To win at this elite level is a amazing feat in & of itself. Very good to push yourself but also hope he can enjoy some of his accomplishments thus far.👍🏽👍🏽💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
One thing you brought up that just isn't the case is the percent improvement. At that speed, the wattage he is putting down, to improve that .4 seconds requires a power increase far higher than 5%.
I hope your delulu comes trululu 😂😂😂
Bolt will have to return to break his own records.
Hes got people talking about him, mission accomplished so to speak.
Is he planning on riding a motorcycle?
Bro has gone mad 😂😂😂
3:39 who are the other 2 runners besides Kerley?
He may be crazy but the person who does break the record will need to have that type of attitude in order to do so.
someone just ran a 9.90 in Atlanta
I think comparing athelets based on timings is not a good way of comparison. Every race is different. It takes away the significance of winning the race . If you want to compare them put them in a same race.
I think one huge reason as to why 100m times are so slow this year is because athletes are unintentionally slowing down after hitting top speed as they don't want to get even slightly injured this close to the Olympics.
I love it. I’m with Kerely!
how long ago did Kerley get his 9.76PB? hes been ok at best this year and slightly better last year but he doesnt have that time in him imo
People must nit know what confidence is. Hundreds of athletes have said things like this and not even come close. What he’s saying is that he feels good and he’s confident in his training. It’s not that hard to comprehend.
Damn! those ped's must be pretty potent if he can come up with that prediction.
We sprint fans got spoiled from 2008 to 2017. Not just with Bolt and the world records, but with his contemporaries trying to dethrone him. We probably won’t see that level of consistent sprinting from that many sprinters for a long time
Kerley is giving off the same energy when your friend says they did track in middle school and they think their 100m PR was 7 seconds
People seem to forget that Usain Bolt is the only one with the times of 9.58 seconds (world record) and 9.63 (Olympic record). And even Yohan Blake and Tyson Gay, who equaled his time of 9.69 seconds, were only able to do so thanks to a favorable tailwind. We can say that in a way Usain Bolt has "protected” his world record with another record. In other words, to get closer to 9.58 seconds, you must already reach Usain Bolt's 2nd best time of 9.63. Which will not happen anytime soon.
He's either delusional, was drunk, or on narcotics. Those are the only means through which I believe someone can reasonable come to that conclusion about themselves.
Mr Flintstone wilding
I edited my comment to include analysis results, instead of just passing along advice. The top 100m times are *not* significantly different (2021-2024). I just did a simple one-way ANOVA on the times you posted from 2021-2024 (small sample size, so take it with a grain of salt) F(3, 40) = 1.597, p = 0.21. Since p is greater than 0.05, we cannot reject the null hypothesis. Meaning, the chance that the differences are due to the factor of ‘year' is lower than 95%. This threshold for significance of difference is the standard in most of science (with even more stringent p-values in some cases)
Fred Kerley's Personal Best is 9.76. The man is a phenomenal talent. Hope he has more in the tank to keep pushing at age 29. Lets go Fred keep it up my brother
I hope Fred achieves his goal. NB I think the reason for the slow start to the season is that everyone is focused on Paris.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.....
New age positive suggestion. The guy is off his rocker.
I can't tell whether Kerley is trolling, TRP is click baiting, or both.
Only Kerley knows how fast he is now. He's got practice timing and he knows how hard he was pushing it when he lost this season. It's good to ask how can you improve this much, but you should also ask, why would he say that if he felt he was having trouble running a 10? He could be psyching himself because he's not up to form, or...
Bro is hopping on that super duper juice with extra zest
Weve seen 19.67, 19.71, 19.71, 19.75 and a 30.69. But all people can talk about is how slow the 100 is and not how fast the 200 is right now. Thats all without Erriyon Knighton or Noah Lyles even opening. Hughes had never broken 20s until last season and hes already breaking 20 now. Seville had a huge 200 pr.
Fred gonna set the world wnr for top contenders who tried to reach Usain's 9,58 but failded😂
In terms of things being slower, people are pacing when they're at peak fitness with a focus on the olympics/trials
For Kurley to say that he must have come really close in practice. Even he should be smart enough to understand how ridiculous Bolt's record is, so something must be up.
That feel when you get gassed up by a hand timed split that's a couple hundredths too fast
I predict that he runs a 9.97 at the Stockholm meet😂
Kerley is either delusional or, he has had some type of lingering injury that has held him back 4% performance ability and he is at 100%in Stockholm.
I think his son or daughter might have been playing with his phone and somehow twitted that😂
