Powell ran 6.44 twice jogging at the end at the 2016 indoor world champs and he was way out of his prime. He's split 6.32 twice and 6.35 several times in his top 100m runs, similar to coleman. Bolt also had very fast 60m splits, 6.31, 6.32 twice, and multiple other 6.3Xs, so it's safe to say if they competed indoors they would've been top 1-2 every time and consistently running 6.3

Noah tied for second all time looking very smooth doing it, improving in every phase of the race and dropping his time from last year by .15 seconds. That is a big improvement. If he can manage to hit close to peak at the Olympics, I agree with others he’s going sub 9.80 and sub 19.30. Simbine also had a nice 100, easy 9.90. It is shaping up to be an epic clash at the Olympics in the 100 and 200!

It's interesting that his 150m PB improved by 0.15 over last year and his opening 100m improved by 0.16. If he can do the same in the 200m, that would put him below Bolt's WR. Given his indoor season as well, everything points to a significant improvement in his starting ability and likelwise, if he can knock 0.15 off his 100m PB, it would put him in the 9.6's. I just hope conditions are good in Paris.

I 100% bet the bank Lyles is going to beat the 200 meter record. That 100 meter record is godly. But Noah is perfectly intouch with his mind, body and soul. It showed in Atlanta, plus he believes in himself. Ppl don't get it, but a lot of this is brain power too, yes you need to be gifted athlete but to go above and beyond the rest and stay consistent there's ways athletes have found to do that. Sports therapy is huge, like talking to someone but in a athletes mindset to be successful. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he drops a 19.10.

At just 26 Noah has a few years in his late 20's to peak...if progressions of 0.05 a year improvements in the 200m occur, and say 0.03 each year in the 150 for ages 26-28 we could see WORLD RECORDS of 19.16 for 200m and 14.32 for 150m. At some point Lyles himself mentioned that 19.1 is his goal (obviously thinking it is possible), and the "slow start" Yohan Blake 19.26 200m with a Glacial 0.276 Start Reaction Time is more or less "PROOF" of that as 0.16 quicker off the mark yields 19.10 RUNNING TIME had Blake gotten a super quick 0.116 second reaction time for his START! How could LYLES do this? Improve the initial 100 to 9.9 seconds to maybe drop 0.1 off both the 150m and 200m!

what seeing those splits tells me is that noah might still need to work on his start. usain’s opening 50 is 5.65 compared to lyle’s opening 50 of 5.71 even though bolt is 6 inches taller and probably a decent bit heavier because of it. in theory that means lyles should start faster than bolt since he has less mass to get moving.

Um, my basic math addition skills tell me that Lyles did NOT match Bolt in the final 100 meters as the maker of the video claims. 4.29 + 4.42 does NOT = Bolt's time of 8.70. In case anyone needs help with that, it's 8.71. Close! But no cigar! :)

That Manchester run was on par with senna’s lap of the gods frankly. I hate for Noah the constant reminder of Bolt’s performance considering we don’t really know Noah’s peak yet and he’s only just really begun to massively improve his starts. but we know for a fact that was usain’s peak hands down. He tended to drop monster times on wet tracks but if I’m not mistaken he wore socks too. Bolts watermark in the 100m is a done deal. It will never be touched as world class athletes can make more money in other sports globally. There’s a human out there who can beat it but they are likely not running track full time. BUT, this 150m shows IMO Noah has a shot at the 200m which is the 1st time I’ve thought bolts 200m unsafe thus far even when Yohan was peaking. On the right day, in the right lane, in the right field with that kinda start? I actually think he can dip under. Keep in mind that was one of bolts greatest starts he ever had in his entire 200m career. He ate the first stagger before drive phase ended and had one of the greatest turn runners in modern 200m history on his outside to rabbit in Shawn Crawford. It was legit the most ideal scenario. Noah’s 5.72 is better as he doesn’t tend to record those low marks in 50m splits but he needs to own that and really get serious about dropping his opening 50m. I’d love to know his 50m in his PB but it’s not official. He ran 5.72 in his opening 50m in Zurich 2022 for his 200m. In all bolts opening 50m in his 200m he’s much quicker but it’s where bolt was vulnerable given his leg dimensions. Walter Dix took advantage of this at times but bolt was 5.6 in Berlin, 5.63 in Beijing, 5.62 in London. Gatlin beat bolt in semis in Beijing 15 beating him off the line with a 5.62. Noah closes very well but I keep getting this feelings he’s afraid to lose knee drive late leaving too much in the marbles. He’s never really gone lower than 5.7 in a championship opening 50m. I think he can get the record with good circumstances. But it’ll require he get out of the damn blocks. I want to see him do it. And I think he actually can. If he can start like Michael normal who put out 5.6’s in the first 50 and trust his legs, I think Noah really could surprise himself in Paris.
