Imagine each of these high schools can only select athletes from their student body, in this case Atascocita has only 3,621 students. Even a college would have upwards of 20,000 older students and can (do) recruit the best from across the world.

In California they allow students to go to any high school in the school district they live in. It can result in an occasional concentration of sprinters (T&F) or distance runners (CC) in one school. Nope, that did not happen with distance runners at Newberry Park or Great Oak over the last decade, that was pure coincidence.

Yes most Schools going down to lower D1 and good D2 schools have more students then a big high school like Atascocita. I know in mid 2000's my high school TF Riggs in Pierre (Pier) had a guy who could have been an Olympic sprinter Quincy Chrisie if his school did not beyond 💯% force spring football training once going D1. He dropped his lesser scholarship. In smaller new AFL, Areana games of his first and only season Quincy hurt himself so bad I am not sure he can even walk anymore. 190 pounds is a bit small for even arena, was fine for D1 NCAA special teams and trick play running back but he was a bit small even for a smaller New AFL/arena league and was nearly quadriplegic for life as he could not move right away and had to be stretchered off the field.

Even some of our middle school/ Jr. High athletes are competitive internationally. My Hine town just hosted a track meet named after Deion Minor 400m specialist. A high jumper from the local school broke the state high jump record and then broke his own record that same meet. Watkins is a focused young sprinter. My wife and I have enjoyed watching him compete fiercely with Duncanville, San Antonio Rebels and others. It's always a good show at any sport in TEXAS, but this young man had been progressing steadily each year. My hats off to ya Yung Watkins. you are wrong. the record is 39.0 set by Calabar at Penn relays. These guys would have to run a perfect race again at Penn relays to beat the Jamaican teams. the Jamaicans are faster foot speed and will match any handoff that this high school guys did. So match up they would have a hard time beating the Jamaican teams. See the Jamaicans high school run in two sections. under 17 and under 20. Some of the school fastest runners do run under 17. SO when they combine their fastest teams it will be much faster than their high school champs . So expect these guys will run sub 40sec. if the weather is right. Jamaica high school I don't see running sub 39. but I don't think this team will run sub 39 at a Penn relay into the weather condition in Philly either. One thing the Jamaicans are very good at is baton change, they will match those change over very easily.

To be fair, there is no drug testing in HS so although this is amazing, I don't put much weight into non tested HS performances considering how easy nowadays to get TRT.

Look at the last exchange? The last runner steps out of his lane. The time they break this time, should count as the national record not this one

I don’t understand he told us something crazy and 100 m and you show a picture of the athletes in the starting blocks, but then you go on to describe a 400 m relay. You truly are screwed up.

Unsubscribing and blocking. Tired of this format of "OH MY GOD UNBELIEVABLE" that you are putting in the title. Stop it. Just report what is going on and stop trying to sensationalize everything, cripes you are better than that.
