@@100percenthim Ummmmmm no. Tyreek Hill is one of the fastest guys in the NFL, but in a straight sprint against Bolt, not a chance. Maybe if Usain Bolt has been slipping in his retirement, but if you compare world record setting Bolt from his prime against Hill in his prime, there's no contest. Hill probably wouldn't even make the cut at the Olympics.

    As of now, here are the Top 3 fastest Sprinters in the *60m split* in the 100m Dash: 1. Su Bingtian: *6.29* + 3.54 = 9.83 (Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games) 2. Usain Bolt: *6.31* + 3.27 = 9.58 WR (Berlin 2009 World Championships) 3. Christian Coleman: *6.32* + 3.44 = 9.76 (Doha 2019 World Championships) And Tyreek Hill’s 60m PB: 6.64 (2014). Okay.

Bolt's camera time for the 60m split in Berlin was 6.29s as well. It more accurate than LAVEG because LAVEG moves around and is focused on different parts of the body. Bolt's 40m time is the fastest ever recorded with the exception of a guy called Michael Greene in the 90's who was 0.01s faster.

He's fast yes, but STOP misrepresenting real track numbers. He ran a 10.19 WIIND-AIDED which is why that number was not an OFFICIAL time. It was actually calculated closer to 10.3. Huge difference. So everyone, he did not run an official 10.19 due to wind assistance. This is standard talk and this [track channel] knows it. The creator wants to wow you so he leaves out the fine print. That way next time you argue with your buddies you end up looking foolish.

Doesn't help that US Media like ESPN and many others failed to put into context just how slow the 6.70 he ran was in that 60m early this year. Completely failed to mention how slow it was not just in comparison to Pro Sprinters but to NCAA Track Athletes as well! Just kept talking about how he "dominated" running against nobodies. For context, that 6.70 placed him joint 218th fastest man over 60m with the joint 717th fastest time in 2023!

Only in a straight line. There was a study comparing soccer players to sprinters. Male soccer players ran about as fast as female sprinters in straight lines. But when they had them change direction as a they ran, the sprinters lost by far more than the soccer players did in a straight line. Track speed almost disappears in any position other than the track. Plus you have occurrences like when Willie Gault lost to Darrell Green in NFL fastest man events despite the latter's pedigree

One thing about the nfl 40 is that there are no starting blocks and the surface is not near as fast as a track with sprinting shoes. So I think the fastest nfl 40 would have been closer to Bolts best time in the 40. (I said closer not fast) who knows.

However, popular as this explanation may be, it’s not actually true and although the newspaper did report the results of the games, it had nothing to do with the naming of the competition._ _The real reason behind the name is thanks to Barney Dreyfuss who was the owner of the Pittsburgh Pirates. In 1903, he wrote to the owner of the Boston Red Sox challenging them to a ‘World’s Championship Series’. The Pirates were the best team in the National League and the Red Sox were the best in the American League._ _The games went ahead and Boston won the series five games to three. A perfect time for a "there are levels to this game, son". Track speed is unmatched in the sports world. In loads of sports you have extremely fast athletes who also perform insanely well in their sport, partly due to their speed. But being an extremely fast or even fastest ever baseball, football, soccer, etc athlete isn't the same as being in the same league as the top of the sprinting world. Track is where THE fastest people on the planet throw down. Quick personal example, we had a running back at my high school who was probably the fastest player on the field in every game he played in. I was the fastest sprinter in our school. He challenged me to a race and it wasn't even close, I ran the last 20-25m backwards and still won by 10m. The main difference in his ability and mine...he could run almost exactly the same speed with all those pads on and the ball in his hands and there's no way I'd have been able to do so. I was also much lighter than him, I was also much shorter which he assumed meant slower...and in the top levels of sprinting he'd have been right, but he wasn't a trained to run track and we were neither of us at the top level. So just to reiterate, there ARE levels to this game. Track speed is different than field speed. You may find a few athletes in other sports that might be able to beat a track star who's well past their prime (think boxing and youtubers fighting non boxers who left their primes behind them a decade or more ago)...but it's extremely unlikely you'll find a field athlete who can even give the track guys a real challenge. DK is super quick, especially given his size, and while he absolutely didn't embarrass himself he definitely was never in danger of winning either.

Cool story that nobody believes, because its BS. Lets do some math on this; I assume you to be about a 10.5-11s 100m sprinter in HS. Assume you did run 1/4 of the race backwards and that your backwards running speed is 1/2 your normal sprinting speed; you would've run that race in ~14-15 seconds, and you won by 10m, so tack on an extra 1s or even more for him to finish. Sorry, but your story is bullshit. No "fastest player on the field in every game he played in" running back is running a 16s+ 100m dash; thats like an LB running the 100m. Fastest player on the field examples like Lamar Jackson in HS, he was running 11.45 in the 100m; Tyreek Hill ran a 10.19 in the 100m in HS; Devon Achane posted a 10.53 100m. Maybe you did race the running back and probably won by a couple steps, but you didn't race 1/4 of it backwards and still win by a longshot; stupid hyperbole that actually ruined a good point you were making... There are levels to speed... and reality is, some NFL players could've gone to track route if they wanted to but chose football to make more money.

People with simple track knowledge know that you can’t compare yourself to extreme peak Bolt (2008-2009), Tyreek is just lack of this kinda knowledge, well at least he knows his top speed is nowhere near Bolt’s. But it’s reasonable that he thinks he is faster in the 40m given that he is in the nfl and always race with that distance (40 yard), and given that it is widely considered that Bolt had a slow start because of his big status, which is a common misconception. Bolt is dusting Tyreek in the 40m, 60m, 100m and 200m. I don’t think we need prime Bolt is proof it cuz it’s not even worth it, just take any sprinters who has completed in this world championship.
