    I do love your videos, but for folks that are primed to watch sports videos on KZread, you might consider adding "Preview" to your title so that viewers will know that they're getting a pre-race analysis rather than a post-race breakdown. You post both well, but I was hoping for the latter - unaware of when the meet date. Thanks for helping to put Track & Field on the entertainment radar for so many folks!

Wanna see him get back to 2022's 19.83 200m form after being a little off in the event last yr. Be interesting to see what Kenny B runs in the 100m as well & what Knighton does in the 400m.

    @@TheoOJamaloO1 🤣 The thing about these so called fans is they talk about numbers like if it's just a number... They don't realize how hard it is to go sub 9.7s. From what we now today, Lyles can't split any faster than 3.37s. For him to go 9.69s alone, he would then have to split 6.32s at 60m, lol. Only 4 guys have ever split 6.32s or faster (Su, Bolt, Asafa and Coleman). Lyles has never split sub 6.43s, though, let alone 6.35s, and let alone sub 6.35s... Lol, so all of a sudden 9.69s seems impossible! Let's then assume Lyles can split 6.35s (at Gatlin's level pretty much) at 60m, which seems hard to believe. Even so, Lyles would have to split 3.34s from 60...100m which only 2 man have split: Gay and Usain. I will not say Lyles cannot surprise me (us), but to think, today, that he can go 9.6s seems a pipe dream.

    i think part of the 60m thing is mental, they know that they have 40m left of the race plus extra track after whereas indoors 60m its very rare u will see any of the athletes still sprinting thru the tape as they have to slow down in a very short space after if they dont wanna cause themselves any injury, id like to see a 60m race where they dont have that worry and can really push it to the max

  • @inerfyr
    @inerfyrАй бұрын

    The indoor 60 is slower than outdoor 60 in a 100 because of what is trying to be accomplished in the respective distance. The indoor you are working hard (perhaps too hard in many cases) to reach max velocity over 60 and shutting it down. Not as smooth or relaxed as a quality 100. Over the 100, you are trying to reach max velocity in a slightly different manner, in order to not become tense, which requires a more or less relaxed ( under great effort) exertion. When a sprinter is able to focus on 100 instead of 60 it allows the mind and body to be more relaxed, less tense. This in turn produces a result of ligaments, tendons, muscles, and nervous system firing, being more efficient. Relaxation in effort generates more efficient results.
