It’s really not useless, per se. my thermostat is in the room with my front door. In the winter, every time my door opens heat kicks on and the second floor roasts. This would help me.
Thanks
I'm listening using a $12 Sony headphone. lol I'm poor because I am a student. I would never ever purchase any APPLE products. That's just my personal opinion. I'd spend my hard-earned money buying memories---travel/vacation/memories.

Yes?
zone boards it's ridiculous gimmick
Exactly. I said how in the works is the sir handler going to control individual rooms.
Thanks for the video! Any other brand doing a combo like that now in July 2023?
So true.
Why are we yelling? 😩
If you do have smart vents or multiple zones then it’s a good idea to use them but if you don’t then it’s rather pointless.
How can a Single Furnace or Air Conditioner cool a single particular room when the sensor monitors the room, and the thermostat sets a temperature, that simply indicates that the central air turns on or off or cool or heat, so how is a particular room going to have a different distinct temperature from another.
You didn’t show where you hit the program button
Did you check my other videos on the PIN Genie? Also, this company got bought out and so the setup on the new company with the new version of the lock is a little different.
It will cost more money but it will get the temp to an acceptable level . I'm ok with that. Esp if its smart enough to stop clling when the rooms aren't occupied.
I understand, but it can't cooling rooms that are occupied vs ones that aren't. It will still run the system to the entire home, or whichever split system those rooms are in.
i have a business network and many many cameras, all of them are set up with static IPs, when I tried to add 3 Pans and 2 v2 cameras on the network with static IPs and Firmware updated them to RTSP no camera was able to work at the same time as another thru Blue Iris... Just 1 camera at a time like they were all fighting over a port, was easier and cheaper to just replace them with Real IP cameras - mostly Refurbished Reolink cameras, like 2 for $60
Yeah in your situation, wyze wouldn’t be a good choice. But the RTSP will not work in a multi cam view no matter what. Only will work one cam at a time.
Had this set up, mouse went in, ate the peanuts and it never zapped them. Not sure why as it had fresh batteries in it and is brand new.
That is an odd thing... the only thing I can think is that it was too small of a mouse to touch both the bottom metal plate and the top plate, that is the only way it zaps them.
Thank you for sharing.
You are welcome.
Good points. Thanks!
You are welcome
ohio
ISpy and others have motion detection and license plate reading ect all built in to the software why would u need those features when u can turn them on in the NVR APPs
Wyze doesn’t have a NVR.
I have 3 zones in my house. These sensors will allow me to better control those zones with only 1 thermostat instead of 3.
In your case, yes, with that many zones its huge to have multiple thermostat readings.
where i can get rtsp firmware please?
Unfortunately, Wyze has removed RTSP for their paid feature now.
You seemed to be a lot more awake in your video about the lack of "smart vents".
What do you mean?
thanks so much for this - I didnt realise there was burger button for settings and I didn't even know that I could pair a bluetooth speaker too 🤦♀- keep up the good work!
Yes same
Thanks!
i went to wyze site and the RTSP download is not there now
FYI - I was able to use RTSP, no firmware push here. :)
Yeah they have taken down the RTSP firmware
It won’t save you money, but it will balance your system
I disagree with your sentiment. For instants. I use mine to monitor my bedroom temp at night. Keeping the temp in bedroom where I want it instead of overheating the rest of the house for no reason, but an hour before I wake up I want the whole house warm, so it automatically switches to another senor and warms the my place up. You might say "well you could just set a schedule to do all that" but I can't due to having an irregular work schedule. So the sensors do this for me if I am in my bedroom. It won't change it until I get into the room at night. This helps and safes me money.
Thank you for this information! You definitely answered the question I had right after reading info about these devices.
Glad to be of help.
78° .....🥵🥵🥵 Bro I wouldn't be able to sleep lol. Also I know you've since updated the video. But I don't think this was ever a "money ploy" or companies trying to "steal your money" these are pretty obvious what they'll do. Some rooms are just hotter then others and these help solve that. But yes as you said, the vents are really the best way to go. Just crazy expensive
So did it help make the picture any better??
No, to me it takes away from the movie, and the coloring of the screen. Think of a theater, they don’t put lights up by the screen. Maybe on the sides of the room or behind you to make it more immersive but not at the screen in my opinion
Can you even watch your camera on your watch somehow ?
No, unfortunately they don’t even allow that. Doesn’t make sense, some watches like apple, will have a photo of the event but that’s it.
Thanks for the video, I have an ecobee with 2 sensors. They are really helpful as my thermostat was installed next to the return on a hallway so if the bedroom doors are open the thermostat would hit temps before the rest of the house would hit temps. With the addition of 2 sensors I can force the ecobee to only look at the external sensors and ignore the thermostat. This way our whole home cools vs the hallway. I do agree that added vent controls is the complete package but it depends on the square foot of your house! The sensors are great and for my use they are not A waste but an improvement!
I got my spring back on, and noticed the pieces along that center had come apart due to the pin coming out on its own, but now with it back together the centering is like 60% to the left.
Yeah, have to pop it back open and adjust that sprocket.
@@GrossTechnology yea and ya need 3 hands lol,,, sorta looked before i did mine and centered the floating sprocket, It has to be one outside the sensor sprocket at both ends ... Damn that stuff is gooey and slick !!! much better and no annoying clack at the center
Haha totally agree.
Definitely too many digits of you’re being chased. Smh 🤦🏾♂️
Touché
Great content! Thanks for the smart air vent referrals!
Yeah glad to be of help!
So, you're removing the detent here but not the actual spring centering? After a decade, when I was cleaning mine the tension knob slid off from between the pedals. I slide it back on and while the tension control works fine, the detent and the spring centering is all gone. What do you think I need to do to get them both back?
Are they lost? Or just came out?
@@GrossTechnology Not lost. I suppose you just have to put it back in carefully with it aligned, and then test it to ensure it's centered. I put it back in without checking centering. So it's now just not centering to the right spot. I'm too lazy to open it back up at the moment, but I'm not flight simming right now, anyway.
Yes, I had to do it a couple times till I had it centered correctly.
I’m having trouble with the door handles installation. I don’t know if I need screws to keep the door handles on or not
Are yours falling off?
Wyze have removed the Beta Version so this does not work pending a final release of the RTSP load.
I bought a couple Wyze cams in 2020, I believe they are V2 (version 2). After about 1 year, one of the cameras failed. The other camera just quit, not connecting and being offline. I have the impression these cameras have a limited lifespan. All of the cameras have been indoor, not exposed to the elements or heat. Any thoughts or opinions on your experiences with WIFI cameras?
That’s odd, I still have v1 cameras that are working great. Plus they are mounted outside and dealing with all the weather.
you go sleep on that 80 degree room. I use the sensors depending on the time of day. Day time is the living room and night is the master bedroom. Also I had my house properly balanced.
Makes sense, cus this is a what I was thinking. The unit has to have zones or each room needs to be broken dwn by zones in order for this to even work.
why are you recording yourself instead of the product and its functions/menu?...
BOO!
It uses the fan to even the temp in other rooms as well as uses the a/c or heater so it doesn't always make the other rooms cooler and you don't need the vents.
If i want ti use for helicopter without the spring Is It possible? I can't understand why you continue to disassembly After remove the spring. If you remove the spring the pedal remain where you put or not?
Honestly I’m not sure if that would work.
If the other room is 2 degrees hotter would it not just turn on the fan instead of the whole a. System to redistribute the air? For example basements are colder than the min floor if you just run the fan and have a return down stairs it could push that colder air from down stairs to the upstairs right?
That would be wonderful if it was that smart. But no it wouldn’t do that.
RTSP implementation is crap....never by another wyze cam
You get the most benefit from smart thermostats only if you switch to smart vents that can restrict/open air flow.
What's the best appliance brands?
Depends on what you are looking for. What appliance?
@@GrossTechnology Nothing in particular, was more for future reference if something was needed haha
Oh gotcha. Mainly the three to stay away from is Kenmore, Samsung and LG
@@GrossTechnology Good to know! Right now all the major appliances in our house are Maytag haha
So what do you guys think? Should I keep doing live streams on my way home? If so let me know, and give me some questions or topics for the journey. And I’ll have my own as well.
