I am type 2 diabetic and probably will become type 1 before too long. I have been type2 for 30 years but seeing my surgar levels increasing. How can I help? I am a truck driver and I know friends having trouble affording insulin. The medical industry is only concerned with profit. They are not about patient care. Thank you to all volunteers working on this project. What can I do to help.

Hoooray for you. I saw your post and I to have a Terra Trike. Maybe I’m rationalizing but I’m waiting for spring weather to ride mine. I need to put extra bottle holders and air up the tires. I only need to lose about 50 pounds but I WILL do it next spring. Again hooooooray for you and your task.

It can be quite emotional to realise you have achieved something without a low causing some sort of stoppage or pause. I remember being quite tearful when I started Looping as it was able to predict and stop 80% of my low’s during most physical activity. I guess what I am saying is your not alone.

I'm diabetic type 2 and I take a pill or insulin around 8:00 when I'm high and I wait for it to get low or around 100 and then I drink a whole glass of whole milk with Hershey's chocolate and make it nice and chocolatey and I don't have to wake up in the middle of the night because of Lowe's and I am actually in my perfect range in the mornings between 8:00 and 9:00 when I do wake up it works every time

Wow. I am so glad I stumbled upon this video! I am a 22 year old Type 1 Diabetic (diagnosed age 6) and just started running a couple days ago. I can only make it a mile max right now but this was so so inspiring to me! My first goal is to run a 5k this spring and then hopefully longer ones in the future. Having Type 1 can be so challenging even just running a mile for me so to see you run a marathon with it was so encouraging! You truly showed that there isn’t anything a type 1 can’t do! Congratulations!! Loved the video.

I'm a types because my pancreas was removed to avoid cancer. What pisses me off is that we have to kiss somebody's butt to get enough cheap insulin even if you have insurance. What if we had an national emergency? The supply could dry up overnight and I'm dead. Because of this, we should have an injectable that terminates our life rather than be tortured to death.

Wal mart has $25 a vial insulin. I works as well as the other. Not easy to balance. Food, insulin and activity. Emotional changes as the wild card. I would make my insulin myself to be free of Wal mart supply. Some folks would not take on the responsibility, I am ready to make my own. Like I grow veggies in the back yard. Like I drive my car on public roads. Know that without man made insulin folks like me die. No diet will keep me alive. I would be dead in a week. If insulin in not available in other counties you will not hear about it, the diabetics are dead. The newly diagnosed are the only ones we might hear from. They are dead in a few weeks.

Thanks for this! I've been living on my bike every winter for a few years now and am fed up with Google maps putting me on life-threatening highways or bridges that are out for obviously years and you have to balance on beams with your stuff 😂😂😂. Besides, I much prefer paper maps and this is such exciting news to me! Tailwinds to you!

wish i heard about this sooner. as a type 1 and in our current predicament with covid, i have to question the state of things when the FDA approved a vaccine in less than a year while stem cell treatments for curing diabetes have remained slow in approval. it all seems too financially motivated as the vaccine is already making them money through tax payer dollars and a lot of these people in the know are making money for each vaccine used. its almost like someone in the FDA is making money off of the vaccine and by approving it, they are trying to influence wider use and production of it by allowing vaccine mandates to occur while type 1 diabetics like me, continue to wait for a cure or treatment that could significantly improve our lives and yet for the last 14 years of my life as a diabetic ive actually resorted to less effective insulin from walmart because i could not rely on insurance to help pay for the name brand insulin if i lose a job or simply get dropped. Its too obvious that they make too much money off our dependence to care about curing or doing anything that could reduce our dependence on insulin or the system that provides our care.
