Bangalore Mornings | 50-Year Earth Day Film
Erik Douds is an American filmmaker who has spent the last 42 days in Bangalore, India after biking touring South India to start off the new year. He now is with an Airbnb host family during the COVID-19 lockdown and passes the time capturing small moments like the fifty year celebration of Earth Day.
When thinking about Earth Day, I planned to avoid the lists that we all know and ignore. Jane Goodall said that you can't win any argument with logic, you must reach the heart. The film is to remind us all about the benefits of slowing down and listening - to ourselves, to each other, to nature.
I also recorded this so my mom and family at home can sleep easily knowing that India is filled with love and kindness.

Slowness of the video is soothing..👍 you should stay away from dogs. They are not very hygienic.. heard of rhino-cerebral mucormycosis in T1DM?? 😬 Spent earth day studying, sleeping and eating. In the morning, i penned down some suggestions for the colony on how to make it more environment friendly, apart from that i did nothing 😆

I'm really loving this slower content tbh, not that its just entertaining but thought provoking too. And your pet's such a lazy bastard that I get to see him laid down in most of your videos lol. yeah that's pretty much everyone's life now mine's little bit different I have check in the office for 2 hours which is 15 mins away for data collection and submission ...... it's awfully quite and i'm the only guy in lift and whole office is empty on good side i can get out but i miss people earlier it used to be full of people with lots of people now there is only 4 lonely policemen and a boring receptionist ...... on funny side i had to shave every week and haircut to look clean and sleek or else some senior would have pointed out ' clean shave ' .... now i miss sound and buzzing and someone passing orders ...... anyway it's good to see you're still hanging on somehow ...... be safe brother and this is a cool idea of slow type of video coz that is the vibe these days ..... cheers

@@suryansh_123S well even with all its issues, I don't get why I wouldn't love India? ☺️ This is my husband's native land and our home and so much beauty and history is here, so of course I love it.
That dog is adorable and so chill.
No matter how much you're missing home at present, when everything gets back to normal and you start living your usual happy life at home, you are surely going to reminisce this phase of your life at some point with a smile. Then you might feel like coming back to India and maybe even staying at the same place. Everything will be fine. Take care.

This period might be life changing for many of us, specially for those people stranded in different parts of the world, making us realise the worth of so many little things we take for granted and also that we're not that different after all. Most of us are going through a phase of realisation about many things which hopefully will bring out the best in us and make the world a better place to be in. Yes, from Spiti Valley in HP to Kanyakumari in TN, there are a lot of good places to explore, most of which are still even in my bucket list.
I don't know why I keep returning to this video....I've never even been to Bangalore. It's beautiful

Lovely video... the animals, workers, plants and hosts/roommates gave me a refreshing sense of what any day on Earth is. Now really does seem to be the time to enjoy each day as it is- a blessing. Have a great extended visit and keep sharing your experiences. We love the simplicity and raw content!

Cudy is the best. Currently chilling outside my window. I'm thinking of making a Bangalore Afternoons sequel to this about tea-time and hanging with my host mom while watching the birds return home.
Waking up early with fresh air blowing against your face and hair, looking at green plants and tress, taking slow and appreciating small things in life and being kind to animals, that's my kinda morning followed by yummy brunch 😋, thank you for sharing your video ❤️✌🏼
