Hey Erik! We have only Libre 'Pro' sensors & readers available in India, that doesn't show the current bg value on scan. It just shows the trends on the scan, unfortunately not the value '10.2'. Did you get the libre non pro variant in India?

Oh interesting. I've been meaning to make a video with my diabetes friends here in India. I actually brought this from Canada as a backup knowing I may be off the Dexcom system. Looks like I have another video to make, but will pin this so people know. The Freestyle Libre 2 became approved as an iCGM so hopefully that will be more affordable for the global community and is a true CGM - BigFoot is basing their automated insulin pump system off it.

Shreyansh Srivastava, to get readings from the sensor you can use Blucon Nightrider a CGM device which gives readings and trends both on phone and watch without scanning the sensor. It gives HI/LO alarms, can share readings with my loved ones. In fact new Blucon Nightrider can activate the libre pro sensor without reader.

@@ayeshamaheshwari1756 I'm also working the same CGM Blucon nightrider with my libre sensor. It also activates the sensor and reset it for another 14 days. that mean one sir for 14+14 days. It has become more cost effective. More over I get readings as well graphs on my phone and watch.

@@ErikDouds I used Libre 2, it is just Libre + alarms, you still need to scan with the Reader or with the LibreLink on the phone to see readings.

I'm using Libre sensor with Anbrosia's Nighder to get alarms without scanning the sensor. Most important is I can share my readings with 5 caregivers

Nice, I am using Abbott's FreeStyle Libre with Ambrosia's blucon and can get my glucose readings on my apple watch even without the phone. I can share readings with upto 5 people in almost real-time. Can get alarms and my loved one can also get an alarm if my glucose is out of range.

Yes that sounds great! I think Abbott’s next Libre will be a true CGM without having to use Blucon. Excited to see the new tech!

I came to know that Abbott has launched a Libre sensor in India. My group of colleagues in India they bought it. They are using Nightrider to get alarms and readings on phone and watch without scanning the sensor

Thanks for the info. My endo suggested me to use Libre sensor with Ambrosia Blucon cgm. I have been using it for last one year and monitor blood glucose on phone and watch.

I use Libre1 with Ambrosia Blucon device in US and check readings on my watch without scanning the Libre sensor.

Hey Nice video and well explained. Really helpful for the beginners. I noticed Libre readers are hardly available in India. I used to visit to the doctors but now I'm using Blucon nightrider which activates the sensor.

@@praveenstranger I tried the new version also but I bought it from Orbeez Enterprise they ship to pan India. I bought Blucon from them only. My blucon works with new sensor also but blucon features are same with both sensor. It activates both sensors without reader so I didn't buy Libre reader new version.

I use Freestyle Libre sensor with Ambrosia Blucon device in the US. The app gives me gives me glucose readings on my phone as well as watch without scanning the sensor. Also, with the help of Blucon I able to extend the Life of libre for another 14 days.

You are always too kind! Oh, the July 3rd got slipped in there after purchasing the ticket. Seems like another lockdown is on its way here so we'll see if I'll be learning more cooking recipes throughout the summer or if home is on the horizon.

I've been off my pump and CGM for 9 months. Not sure I will go back. Never felt more diabetic than I did with stuff stuck to me.

Right!? Some good out of this lockdown. I actually forgot how free it feels to not have it. Also realizing that there are a lot of diet changes to make when home. Been feeling incredible here. New flight is scheduled for July 24th...race yeah home

I put a tweet out but didn't hear back. My assumption is that you could get one, 1mg.com easily connects you with a doctor if a prescription is required. I'd stop by a pharmacy and ask.

@@avisekpl This is how i got mine. Just join this whatsapp group & ask for a contact number. Someone will provide Abbotts sales rep contact to you. You can make a call & ask them for Libre Pro Sensors & a Reader. A sensor would cost you 2000/- rupees & it lasts for 14 days. A reader costs 5000/- rupees. They generally sell Readers only if you buy at least 6 sensors, as there is a shortage of them.
