Should An American Evacuate India | COVID-19 lockdown decision

The U.S. embassy of India alerted Americans about the opportunity for government-sponsored evacuation flights starting April 4th, amongst India's Coronavirus lockdown and curfew. American foreign nations can depart from Mumbai or New Delhi to land in San Francisco, California or Atlanta, Georgia. Unknown if we would be quarantined upon arrival.
The situation after this second week in April is unknown:
"We do not know if U.S. government-organized flights returning to the United States will continue after this week. We urge U.S. citizens who want to return to the United States to take advantage of the current opportunities. "
As a person living with type 1 diabetes, I have to seriously weigh the pros and cons of going through the evacuation process from Bangalore (southern India.) Oh, and a lost passport doesn't help.

Stay Safe living in Bangalore. You are already adjusting like an extended family. The Govt. of India and the State govt. are deciding the best available option to extend the lockdown upto 3rd May .India is believing in Keeping Social Distancing , Staying Home , Staying Safe with hygiene protocol . It's giving the good result. I can understand the emotional aspect being far far away from the family in such pandemic crisis in USA. But to stay still in Bangalore is the only option considering the situation. And above all India is not a bad place to reside in such crisis. Stay blessed.

I feel towards the end you were very emotional.. trying not to cry😞 and it's not any consolation but there must be some reason you are so far away from your home and family at this horrible time. If I was in isolation, completely alone, I’d be having a harder time with work being on the computer + any type of connection being on a screen. I’m thankful for the doctors who make the call to isolate more personal with their stories, fears, and pleas for us to be still.
