    I think Kawasaki's Vulcan S is not made to have the look and feel of a classic/traditional cruiser. It's not an Indian, Harley or Royal Enfield. The Vulcan 900 Classic, Vaquero, or Voyager all have V-Twin engines, a low rumble, and an overall classic styling. They are designed to appeal to an older audience. I was sport bike shopping and the Vulcan S caught my eye while I was sitting on a ZX-10R lol!

    These are the two bikes I'm considering getting so this comparison is much appreciated. Due to a high school soccer injury, i can't ride long on a bike with a lot of handlebar vibration. My brother's Harleys put my throttle hand to sleep in minutes. I think the Vulcan's motor is smoother (when not lugging) & that equates to longer rides for me. They do both look beautiful though & Super Meteor has MUCH better colors than the Vulcan.

    When you live at a place that has highways, the Vulcan S is a FAR superior bike. Bikes don't have souls; it's the rider that adds the soul ingredient to the bike after the ignition is turned on. I also had the Vulcan S' siamese twin, the Versys 650. Same engine, just tuned differently. You can't beat Japanese quality motorcycles, period. P.S. You have to respect a bike manufacturer who builds a bike with the ability to configure it for short to tall people. That says something about Kawasaki's respect for its riders. My 36" inseams would not feel comfortable on any RE bike.

    My thought is that the way to protect from rain while parked up is to carry a water proof bike cover, whole or half, and throw it on the bike while parked. Also, anything critical absolutely must be kept in a true water proof bag inside the pannier. Otherwise, you are asking for disaster.

    Hi Teacher T. Thank you for an honest review, just what we were looking for. Point taken on the rain covers. putting up two holes at the bottom for all new ones. its the first time we have developed something with a pannier rack and looks like the rain cover issue slipped our attention. The bags are lined thourgh out with rainproof material. The covers help in keeping the leather intact and keeping the zips that will let water through out of the way. But we will quickly get them on everything going out now. To answer the questions on the pannier rack breaking the chasis, it wont and to answer it in more technicality, will ask Autoengina (the manufacturers of the stays). Its been well tested and doesnt snap. The cases on the himalayan are different, but its best they answer it.

    Thank you Trip Machine. I really did enjoy making this video. And now I get even more looks than ever while out on the bike, with those sexy saddle bags. There is one video floating around of an Indian guy breaking both his rear shocks, and RE blaming it on his saddle bag mounts attached to the top of the suspension. This is the concerns in the comments. I think the top bolts were over tightened, and were the cause of the issue, not the racks themselves. Which is why I think it’s a good idea to issue fitting instructions including torque settings for the bolts. 🙏

  • @autoengina
    @autoengina12 күн бұрын

    Hi Sid and Teacher T, Stays are designed to be mounted on static points of the chassis and mounting brackets do not interfere with the suspension's operation. Also Attaching stays on stock suspension bolt does not compromise the axial strength of the bolts. Similar stays are currently installed on over 500 Super Meteors, and we haven't received any complaints regarding their performance.

    Nothing should EVER be mounted on the shocker bolts, there was a guy who did that and his shocks snapped, that's an absolute NOOOOOO

    1 video, that’s all it was. Please read the official trip machine response 🙏

    If this is connected with rear shocker bolt....it will be an issue.

    So people keep saying. I've seen the video. As long as the bolts have correct torque settings, there should be no issue. I'm happy to trial it ,🙏

    Those bags do look the part; personally, I would never use rain covers on any luggage system. 'just smother them in Dubbin - plus, it adds a deeper, and more attractive hue to the standard camel-brown. A top mounting point to a suspension arm is problematical; perhaps find a sub-frame rail nearby. Your filming and editing skills continue to be exceptionally-stunning

    I think as long as the top bolts are not overtightened all should be good. I'm suspicious of that video. Something doesn't add up with the story. Thanks though. The filming and editing is still on the learning curve 🙏

    Nice video! A question: Don't you feel the wind blast on your shoulder and head without the windshield? I have been facing lot of this when I cross 80kmph.

    No I don"t. I noticed it more with a windshield, as it focuses the blast right at your head. I happily to 120kph like this. But I do need a full face helmet 🙏

    @@Teacher-T-ThailandExactly, this is exactly what I feel as well. With windshield I think I face more windblast on right my head.
