After completing 1800 miles on my 2023 Super Meteor I did a nut and bolt check while it was raining. Everything was good including the rear sprocket. But thank you for the heads up on this! Something to watch for in the future 👍😊.

If the studs have work their way out how do I turn them bake in? If I do this with vice grips that would strip the threads. Any suggestion on how to do this with out stripping the threads?

If the studs have become loose, then it really should be a warranty issue. Report the fault to your dealer. You can double tighten a nut to remove a loose stud. And there are special stud tools. 🙏

Thank you for this important information. Although the bike has only done 2700km, I will inspect this vital component. Also, where do you get your workshop data. I've been trying to find a workshop manual for the Supermeteor in Australia? They don't exist here, as far as I can tell. Cheers

No real manuals available to the public sadly yet. But now and again owners get in contact direct with RE engineers and share the information on Facebook. Even the RE info I used her is a little wrong, stating 14mm hex bolts, when it is 17mm nuts holding the sprocket on. Picture Diagram correct though. I think most dealers make little money on selling a new bike. They make it on the servicing. So info is kept a little bit secret to stop us all from home servicing. 🙏

Hi myself SHIVAKUMAR from India and I am great fan of you and your blogs especially in super meteor 650,as I have a small doubt that, I mean I have recently purchased a super meteor 650 did first service after 45 days after time period with 450kms run and mean time I don't drive much every day, so I do start the bike every day for few minutes and raise the bike for two to three times (that is in starting mode) so by raising the excelitor while in idle state will it affect the engine Life ?(as one of my friend told me that not raise the bike before 5k kilomsters run otherwise it will affect the engine Life) Kindly advise me is it ok or not! Will be waiting for your kind suggestion Thank you SHIVAKUMAR

500km is the set distance for the first service. Then oil is changed. Any small parts of metal in the oil are now trapped and removed in the old oil and oil filter. So until first service low engine revving is advised. As you have had your serviced a little early I presume you have had your oil and filter changed at that time. So all should be good. I rode 1,600km on a 2 day trip on my bike after the first service. The bike is now at 8,000 km. engine performing well and I don’t worry about over revving any more. Plus I left my bike for 1 month while visiting family in the UK. It started first turn of the key on my return. They don’t need starting every day. All the best with your new bike. Remember, built like a gun 🙏

Sorry. I said this becasue KZread inform me 99% of my viewers are male. And of course the pun on nuts. It says 14mm hex (Allen key) which is completely wrong. It’s 17mm nuts. Not even RE gets its info correct 100% of the time. 🙏

@@michaelreid2329 ahhhh got you. Yes correct. Stud locker required. But what I’m suggesting is that if the studs become loose, then demand a replacement wheel hub under warranty. No Meteor 650 is over 3 years old yet. Should not be happening. 🙏
