  You are taking it way out of context, extremist group have recruited many young teens some where order to unalive their own brothers to get recruited. So our UAE government took strict measures as needed. Also in Islam the extremist doesn't even get to smell the fragrance of jannah. in the hadith (am paraphrasing) it's said they were 2 men who came to the prophet pbuh and one said I will fast the whole (Dahr) and the second said i will not marry for the sake of Allah. and that's when the prophet said extremist don't smell the fragrance of jannah

  When these countries say 'violent extremists', they mean muslims exactly. They are spending billions to remove the muslim identity from their lands. They will keep the masjids intact just to show that they are 'muslims', but all those masjids will be monitored to ensure no one talks about Islam outside of prayer. These people will call the Sahabah and the Prophets of Allah SWT as violent extremists as well.
