Shirk isnt just about worshipping “idols”. Many Muslims think that worshipping idols means that you prostrate or pray to a statue or an object. But idol worship can also mean that you supplicate to a being other than Allah in times of hardship.

I am an Indian Muslim. I grew up watching cartoons of these Hindu gods like krishna and Hanuman. Religious serieses of these Hindu Gods are also a common thing in many Indian households. What I realised is that the makers of these shows whitewashed it. You cannot find any themes of Human sacrifices or the dark nature of Hindu practices in these shows. It's the typical script where the bad guy comes and the god saves the day by defeating him. Even most Hindus are clueless about it. Thanks to Daniel for digging deeper and educating people about the full-picutre of Hinduism. And Alhamdulillah for Islam

Brother reality is Hinduism wasn't even considered as a religion by its followers from the beginning. It is paganism, like Greek, Egyptian, Sumerian, African and roman paganism. No organised concept, nor any particular rules, regulations and laws given by God. Even if you ask different different hindus about their concept of God, all have their different concepts and opinions. Hindus don't even know the number of gods and goddesses they worship. In south Asia, they worship different different gods and goddesses. And in south - east Asia they worship different gods. Within south Asia, inside India, in South india they worship different gods and in North India they worship different gods. Even different different villages and families have their own personal gods and goddesses, the outside hindus don't even know about them. Just to go against and counter Islam and Christianity, they created and formed a religion, called it Hinduism. Hinduism, as a name don't even mention in their holy scriptures. This name was given by Persian and Arab to Sindhu river side ppl, who were living there . And a lot of concepts of Hinduism are taken from Buddhism. There was a time when Indian subcontinent was a Buddhist majority land. To counter Buddhism they adopted a lot of concepts from them. Note: No offence and no insult to any religion. Just telling the facts.

And shiva and Narayanan are main gods and they are one which we call (harihar) The one true god parmatma. And in the face of gods asur and indra are same. In rare cases where asur is trying to destroy the world the gods will give an avatar to human worlds like Krishna to kill kauravs reason (rise in adharma), Ram to kill Ravan reason (arrogance and brutal to people) but i get what you mean. I also think like that became agnostic but once I was close to death and I instantly chanted hanuman chalisa after that I'm just confused
