Another update from Brac University. At a recent event at the residential campus that every 3rd semester student has to attend, there was some couple type musical dance thing which isn't even the worst part of the story. The students were doing mass "romantic kissing" and "HARAM" with no regard to public decency. Never did I ever think I would see my country like this. The next generation is being destroyed by making them think that it's okay to follow your desires. May Allah protect me and everyone from such influences as it getting harder to look anywhere since there is no sense of public decency in university. Anywhere I try to look at I don't see anything decent, neither at my university nor even at the schools, especially in a country like Bangladesh!!!

I think it's also due to the fact ahl bida misrepresent Islam, so sisters turn secular. Examples she'uh teach mut'ah which is like a 1 hour nikah, sophies do batini and make up stuff to oppose sisters and many oppose nikah & some like tablighis don't educate ppl and then send them away from their wives who may need dawa more than other! Sophies make up stuff and divide and get their states over-run & become secular - this is clearly not the way of sahabas! So sticking to the sunnah and unity is important as welll as refuting ahl bida! If ppl after learning the true Aqida, they study Manhaj or methods & priorities and scholarship they would not only prioritize things right according to Islam but structure the knowledge so many ppl can learn about Islam fast.

Yesterday this brac university hosted a gala night where students kissed each other openly. Let alone Islamic values, this abomination was never a part of pre-islamic Bengali values. I will ask our Bangladeshi muslims to boycott 'aarong' (a brand run by brac) 'bkash' (an online medium of money transferring run by brac) to curtail brac's economic strength. Was that video even real ? I was very surprised as a 40 years old Bangladeshi at this point . Dating and things were there back in my university days too back in the 2000s but not these degree of westernization. But we non-private university people also used to say those private universities are for rich upper class westernized Bangladeshis. NSU comes to mind.

I am actually a student from Brac University the one Sir was fired from, we asked for explanation for the firing and the initial case they made was that Sir has allegedly made sexual remarks to some female student which was debunked as fake and Brac then came up with the excuse of Teacher etiquette and how it's harmful to the society and the constitution to tear government backed books. Brac is very strict about its policies and tends to promote them in secrecy. Even I'm using my fake account to add this comment as I fear I can also be terminated by my university.

Why some teachers are forcing students on Feminism, Secularism?? Are they getting any monetary benefits or they are Indian agents but living as Bangla citizens?

Though tr*ns is an upcoming problem for Bangladesh but Bangladesh is currently in more problem because of corrupted pro Indian government. They have gangs similarly violent like hindutva group, feminism and liberalism is rising, youths becoming non religious, drugs consuming and haram relationships are increasing, modesty and hijab have decreased so much because of West and Indian cultural invasion. Yes. After going back to school after the pandemic I noticed a huge shift in my peers. A lot of them were engaging in haram relationships and wearing shorts cloths, dressing like boys etc. honestly I was very shocked what is happening around me. Why all my classmates are like this. Now I'm in collage this kind of phenomenon is still continuing.

As a Bangladeshi, I would say many youngsters are not properly educated about the deen. Yes, we know about the five pillars of Islam, salah, zakaat, hajj, shahada, fasting. But not much about the other parts of Islam. When people look at it from the points of the 5 pillars, then kissing in public should not be haram, on face value. But most people do not realize that taking shahada, and having faith in Allah (swt) means obeying all His commands as well, not just the belief in His existence. More Bangladeshis need to be educated in Islam's true philosophies. The fact that terrorism and extremism with Islamic labels grew in Bangladesh during 2000-2010 have discouraged many people from looking further into Islam. News used to post every year about Bangladeshi extremist terrorists being caught with Tablig and other Islamic fiqh books, which sent the wrong message to many Bangladeshi families. This is a misconception that must be cleared, through proper education. Madrassa education is still looked down upon as second or third quality education. All of these allow confusion to grow among youngsters about the proper way to lead lives using deen. I can say that most of these teenagers and youth who are doing malpractices actually may not realize they are doing the wrong things, because they have not been properly educated. Just like many people in the West have not converted to Islam because the message of Islam has not spread properly.

Subhanallah, what a fresh breath of air to hear Professor Asif taking pride in their long heritage and culture. Bengalis should understand and study their civilization better. They should not be ashamed of being viewed unfavourably in the modern times by certain group of people, they should take pride in their cultural achievements across times. Bengal is one of the richest province for centuries and British conquest of it is what kickstarted and funded the Industrial revolution. Bangladesh is also currently one of the fastest growing economies and are projected to be a major regional player in the coming decades.

Our "government" decided to keep the Primary and Secondary schools open for the first15 days in Ramadan. This is a deliberate attempt to force our children to skip fasting as it would be extremely diffiuclt for them to fast, and go to school in this hot climate. Some lawyer filed a writ petition in the high court, and the high court ordered closure of the Primary and High schools all over Bangladesh, and asked for an explanation from the Education Ministry. The "government" will probably move to the Supreme court challenging this decision.

Now the Education ministry have to explain to the High court why they amended the holiday list for education institutions to keep the them open for the first 15 days of Ramadan. The government still can take the matter to the Supreme Court.

As a BRAC University alumni the things I have seen being promoted in my classes were shocking. Teachers forcing boys and girls to sit together forcefully, teachers asking us our pronouns, being forced write things tolerating gays and lesbians etc. many more. I have seen countless students where I wasn't sure if they were boy or girl from their dress and face. Just today BRACU is viral on social media again because of a clip went viral where students were seen openly dancing french kissing in a "Gala night" ( mimicking prom night as seen on western movies and culture) without any interventions from uni authority. Which is not normal is a Muslim country like Bangladesh. That being said, BRACU also have a majority Muslim conservative students. But their voices and concerns are being dominated by this liberal minority.

As a Bangladeshi Muslim all I can say is that we the youth are not walking but running towards Islam at rate faster than light. In sha Allah this youth will soon become one of the strongest pillars of Islam of this era. The more they corner us they more obedient towards Allah we become. After the Liberation war our countrymen got distracted for some time but during last 6/7 years the Ummah is starting to rise again. We are not a coward nation as we even gave our lives happily for our mother tongue hence the International Mother Language Day. Asif Sir was arrested last night from his home, unjustly taken away from his home for speaking on behalf of students, standing by them in the anti-discrimination student movement, seeking their just demands. Now he is in prison. We want his release and other innocent prisoners.

May Allãh Azzawaja'al bless Professer Asif and protect him from the hands of puppet governments.

Even though I'm from Bangladesh I never went out my way to check up on local politics much. I heard some stuff about Mahtab from others but I didn't looked into it much myself. I was like it probably doesn't concern me. After watching this video I realised how idiotic I was for staying away from Bangladeshi politics and not know how bad things are getting here.
