    I always loved 10-man raids. Everyone counts and there's less of a need for total comms dicipline so it's a lot more intimate. You actually get to know people.

    I think if you played primarily (or exclusively) with random players, especially at a lower level, it would massively shift your opinions on some of these. Court of Stars and Uldaman, for the exact same reasons, made me so mad. Court also had the issues that were mentioned, like the profession gimmicks... the enforcers... I don't think it was mentioned, but starting the dungeon with a minute long boatride omfg... But the thing that bothers me the most in these dungeons is how much harder other people can make it. Obviously that's always gonna be true, if you've got people standing in fire it's gonna be harder on the healer, if you've got people randomly (/accidentally) pulling mobs it's gonna be harder on the tank. If you've got a tank that keeps moving out of AoEs the DPS are gonna have a tough time... but some things take it to a whole other level, and it's not obvious that the individuals are actually failing. They think they've handled the mechanic because they've survived, but they've made it SO. MUCH. HARDER. Court of Stars... First boss has that "jump to clear debuff" mechanic. Obviously if people don't, or you don't have MD, it's gonna be harder and that's obviously the individuals failing... But the 2nd/3rd bosses? If you stack on the 2nd boss there's less fire on the ground. If you don't stack, you'll probably still survive, but now its increasingly messy. 3rd boss (last boss) is the ultimate example. If you had the tank and melee stay still the whole fight, only move from the first line, and have the ranged/healer stand at the other end of that line... every single line would stack and there'd be all the room in the world. Of course that almost never happens [at least in average keys] and so you end up with lines all over the map. So, so, so much harder. Same thing for uldaman. First 2 bosses are usually handled fine, but the 3rd boss (Lizard with stun orbs)... all it takes is one person to walk into a stun at the wrong time and chances are you've wiped... if you don't wipe, you're making it so much harder to heal. 4th boss (embertron) again, sooo much harder if people don't group up to kill the adds. Most pugs seem to end up in different sections during the intermission which just makes it more difficult, and often results in death from lack of healing or death from the healer trying to get close enough to drop a heal on someone who's STILL RUNNING AWAY, TOWARDS THE DEATH BEAM??!? And the last boss, holy shit. The difference between groups that stack up for all the circles, and can therefore completely ignore soaking, and groups that have some ranged DPS standing where you'd move to next dropping crap on the ground and filling the entire room [hyperbole] before the first rewind make it SO MUCH HARDER. Haven't finished the video at time of posting, but my #1 would either be Tol Dagor... because it was broken af and pulling mobs through the walls/floors is itself enough reason for it to have the #1 spot... Or Mists of Tirna Scythe, not because of any mechanics (although I have my issues there, too), not because of the last boss which... ew. Simply because of the nightfae. "Are we having fun?" No, no we're not, and you're not helping, stupid fairy. The Jailer tearing their wings off would've made him the best character of all time, from being [one of] the worst.

    it would be cool, since they are utilizing more key level breakpoints, if at some key level (like 17s) instead of scaling the hp/dam of the dungeon, the timer was reduced. mitigates the infinite scaling into one shot while still infinitely scaling into more difficult timing yellow is the best flavor with purple a very close second

    Notice when "40 man" is brought up, the conversation immediately pivots to "40 man mythic". Nobody wants 40 man mythic. That wouldn't work at all. The game needs to re-center around normal and heroic, so average players feel included.

    Classes that can only damage deal should be s tier dps. This is a sad sad rework. Especially considering the fantasy of the abilities is virtually zero compared to some hybrids. Barbed shot is already up A LOT. Nerfing up time just to add some hero talent is lame. Nothing exciting. Not excited for a rework/buff months later

    I think you can actually do a 40 man raid that doesn't suck but it would have to be like two separate teams doing separate things with some connection. Kind of like when you have to split a raid in a fight but instead you'd have two different 20 man teams working on different tasks separately but with some limited interaction between the teams.

    if they give dk a raid buff it should be like a marked for death and give like a small % damage buff for like the execute phase as a kinda inverse of hunter's mark

    "unholy.. consistently meta" LOL come queue pugs on a 528 3100 UHDK and say that again. If I don't post my own key *and* have friends on to fill, I don't get to play M+. I agree in the sense that UHDK *is* a consistently good high M+ class. The scaling for AoE and survivability really let the class come into its own once your comp is pushing. The practical "meta" of which specs are actually allowed to play the game is different.

    What if they removed all raid buffs from every class and instead gave your party or raid back those buffs for diversity of classes. For each different class in a 5 man group, you get to pick which 5 buffs are active for your party. For raids you can pick a buff for each different class and the class you add to the raid doesn't determine the buff. The raid leader does. You add a warrior, but you already have an attack power buff from when you added a rogue and don't have intellect yet for your casters? You can open the UI and select that buff. It's like how in a lot of games you get a synergy bonus when you include characters of the same faction, race, etc but the opposite of that. You get a toolbox of buffs and you get to select one buff for each different class in your raid. They could cap it at 7 or 10 or something so you don't HAVE to have every single class. Just spit balling here and making it up as I go lol

    Enhance is very well designed and even this "nerf" will give the spec more build variety once tuned up. Only thing they really NEED to look into is the 5-6 "hard" target cap, everything else is a neat bonus. I can also understand why many people have problems with the spec though. It runs real smooth if you understand every aspect and make no mistakes, but remove one cog and the whole clockwerk starts falling apart. If you just press the glowing buttons it will feel miserable.

    What build variety? If they balance out the tuning it still leaves you with at best path A or path B with 0 options in between

    @@Gronmin Elemental Blast was just too far ahead of everything else (in DF) and always topped the DPS charts even in M+ (on a pure single target ability mind you). It's even restricted by the charges and only used for the buff outside of your CD windows. Now it retains enough value for Elemental builds, but allows for Tempest Strikes as well as the Storm build in general to be legit competitive alternatives.

    @@Gronmin so together with the single target/AoE variations of both these builds and the 2 heroic trees being centered around Elemental/Storm respectively, you will have 4-6 competitive skill builds, as the Totemic tree can be played with a Storm build from Spec tree as well.

    As its sitting... Blood DK is auto take in TWW for raids. DPS DK is... cool, we can pump in burst windows, and we might have the most knowledeable community leaders in Taez and Bicep... other than that we're kinda meh. -A DK Since WotLK

    I raid heroic raids and am totally sick of the button bloat, having to read a novel, having to have a ton of add-ons to keep track and having 500 macros JUST TO PLAY THE GAME and not be made fun of or not get invited to raids.

    Dk grip counts as a raid buff until you're told to go get gear from M+ and you're only brought on the bosses that need grip...

    I mean cool but why not make it so like you start with frost or lance and then the enemy gets a debuff that when you cast meatball you turn the debuff into another where it buffs frost or lightning and elemental blast gives bothe debuffs and enhances them that the base debuffs are a 25% boost with elemental blast its 30% and depending on what you cast after its ice or water debuff? (Like Pokemon) Change: Or is it a bad idea i dont play Shamy?

    the new talent adds another 5% dmg reduc and gives it the BFA azerite trait heal ability, unsure about numbers but that alone is already huge.

    Enh Shamans may as well switch to WW Monk at this point. Devs like to listen to people like this and Max seems to hate Enh for some reason.

    The reason enh feels sad is because we see class changes and then we're slapped with a 25% nerf on our biggest spender, lost a previous node in flurry that we got for free at no cost to spec power (placed RIGHT below the nerfed elemental blast) causing us to lose previous power at the top end of the tree which is actually pretty huge (phys build might not get to cleave flameshock and ele build might lose flurry altogether), lost our guaranteed raid spot, kept the same core function which has been around since Shadowlands (lava lash tab-target spam or giga RNG DRE which I personally like but a lot dont). Truthfully, the ele blast nerf will probably get major rollback (probably just a baseline value because it was overperforming in beta, it'll probably be 12 or 10% in the future not 25), the flurry node is honestly the worst part. We got feral lunge and lost damage, and we're fairly mobile already so we werent suffering downtime issues, so its just a damage loss. That being said, the spec works, it has no major issues and is good in all forms of content (which is insane) and has some of the most utility options in the game if not THE most, so we're fine. We just love to doompost.

    I agree with most things, but we have not been meta in m+ since season 1, where i cannot argue we were literally S tier. Also the elemetal blast nerf was wrong, they should have nerfed the tier set, because EB is overperforming because of it. Come next patch when they forget to buff it and it will hit like a wet noodle. New defensive should fix the problem we were having though in M+

    @@user-nf3cz4nv6e Nah the new defensive is pretty decent, its a hefty shield that refreshes every 5 seconds which is good against consistent raid damage/rot dungeon damage, and we have pretty good survivability with NG (although nerfed) and bulwark, as well as wolf form (feelsbad). New totem that can be reset as well feels not half bad

    @@ChaosKnighta Good point, I forgot about that. I don't know why they opted for flat nerf vs tier set nerf, they'll forget about it in ph2 and ele blast will be extremely sad for enh and auto-replaced by earth shock for ele. But yeah the new defensive is pretty good it seems, especially with the reset. Also, kinda okay we weren't meta in dungeon. Most meta comps in m+ always consist of range and are always hyper-optimized, enh was never that go-to #1 key pusher team, but its playable and good enough to slot into any team, which for me is enough.

    They still should be addressing the use of the shields in group content by enh since it's been a core part of the class for so long, it's odd that it's only useful in solo. Also the new defensive seems like a small raid defensive rather than a personal one for a squishy melee, I get what your saying but it doesn't really address the concern. They did mention something about more changes coming later, implying post launch. So it sounds like enh just got kicked to the 0.1 patch lol

    How do we get this idea in front of Blizzard: Remove all raid buffs. Instead, every unique spec in your raid adds +X% to the raid's damage and healing, up to Y unique specs. Easy to tune, easy to adjust, makes everyone happy, ensures you don't just flood your raid with 100% the best DPS, and favors no one. My initial thoughts was 0.5%/Spec, and 14 Unique specs. That allows you to double up on up the last 6 slots. You get +8% to the raid's damage.

    I've been a shaman player since 2006. Shaman didn't need changes. Leave my class alone. I'm happy to be the middle ground that gets 3-5 % buffs or nerfs every patch.
