Thematically, both DK hero trees were knocked out of the park. In one you are the fifth horseman of the apocalypse fighting alongside other horsemen while the other is essentially a shadowfrost grim reaper. Hard to tell if the gameplay will be as good as the theme until the alpha drops were we can get hands on and find out.

You are the Death Lord, and you created the new four horsemen in Legion. So yeah Rider of Apocalypse is a home run IMO.

I like to think of Havoc DH as a gold standard for defensive cooldowns. (excluding their leech) Meta: Immunity if needed, at a dps loss if u need to hold it Blade dance: 15% shield if timed with an AOE ability, small dps loss if held for that. Blur: 1min CD, minor dmg reduce Netherwalk: Immunity, longer CD, dps loss. It's actually fun to play when the healer is struggling or dead in M+, and you can actively mitigate small bursts of damage with blade dance like a tank with active mitigation if needed.

Haven't even watched it yet, but I'm going to assume that because the Spellslinger section is so short it must mean that the tree absolutely cooks and Max is just going to be annoyed that mages are the main characters of wow

Conduit of the Celestials' Tiger Palm causing Xuen to strike could have been way cooler. "Chance on auto attack to transform your Tiger Palm into Tiger Claw", making it hit like a beast with a huge blue spirit claw swipe. Or have some additional synergistic effect like "Turns your next Fists of Fury into Claws of Fury" then use an upgraded Xuen MoP Legendary Cloak animation. I'm a Rider 100%, but would love to see the love going around for other hero specs for just thematic success.

@@Skelliiie They're literally called Hero Talents, that's one of the main features of The War Within. Hero classes are just DK/DH, but they slap 'hero' on just about everything now.

Deathbringer has 2 talent synergy that screams BOS build, dark talons and bind in darkness. Dark talons makes bos do shadowfrost causing bos procs and crits to just blast reapers marks all over everything with double and quadruple marks on everything stacking them so fast setting up the rest of the talents to flow and trigger well

I'm late to the party but slayer looks good. also i see the chat saying they should add shockwave also as usable during bladestorm. difference is pummel and storm bolt are target oriented. shockwave is a targetless cleave. so cannot work as you are turning so fast that instead of a cleave it would be an all around circle of shockwave as you cannot aim it. but you know what? that would actually be super darn cool!

Imagine the shammy one was when you and your ancestors cast X together. It combines for more damage or something.

Dark Ranger 100% needs to give you the ability to Tame undead creatures, if hunters don't have that already. And yeah Pack Leader should be summoning down birds of prey constantly to rip into your targets and wolves emerging from the wilds and shi*t like that.

I hate when fury has bladestorm because then its all about making bladestorm happen as fast as possible, so you need to stack haste and bladestorm does shit damage so its like lets get this thing over with asap to get some buff up and hope you dont overcap on resources and lose enrage uptime

pack leader dont change your damage rotation whatsoever for survival, other than the covering fire node, which makes your aoe rotation exactly the same but a bit faster. hopefully sentinel gives us better gameplay. or the tier set. copium.

super easy mode specs(or at least designed to have a lower skill floor); DPS - all 3 specs of hunter Healing - Holy Priest Tank - Prot Paladin or Guardian Druid

Glad someone else called out how boring the Pack Leader tree feels, like I'd want MORE beasts, like A LOT of them

I think the slayer tree is pretty awesome. I wish the thane one was for arms instead of fury though. Also, overpower is like top 3 on ST and AoE so idk why people were upset about a 10% buff. I just hope they put the T31 bonus into the arms tree just to really send this spec through the roof lol.

It really seems like the Mage Devs understood the assignment. Meanwhile the Monk Devs need some serious help.

Slayer would be 10x better instantly if they hadn't broken cancelaura functionality for Bladestorm.

They havnt "broken" it, Hurricane talent just make it impossible. You can still cancel Bladestorm without it.

I just did it on live, just remove Hurricane talent, and your bladestorm can be cancelled ! You can even cancel it if you have the talent, you must cancelaura Hurricane Buff then BS, giga scuffed but still doable.@@derekbush6239

I just wanted a warrior tree that made mortal strike feel good again and not need to buff it with 2 executes and 2 overpowers to make it feel like it does anything. Bring back the mortal combo conduit from shadowlands or something.

I’m a lot more interested in deathbringer than sanalyan (spelling?) for my blood dk, that’s for sure. The SL theme talents added to abom limb and some extra icy attacks sound spicy and fun.

Sander can cancel provoke with Forest defense passive, found this out last week. I guess it counts as a debuff.

Blizzard was defo trolling when they designed prot pally season 3 4p. "we heard you guys hate standing in consecration, we're gonna give you the most OP 4p bonus in wow's history, but you have to stand in that shit lmao". I'm surprised they haven't done this with DnD as well. Just like DnD it interrupts far more important abilities you have to cast, recasting consecration because you stlighty moved while you have more important shit to press is the worst part about consecration and sometimes is the reason ppl die in higher keys.

Resto Shaman main here: Please for the love of god stop making us forced to play Primwave. Without haste primwave feels SO bad its unreal

fury warrior is about to be the most annoying class to pvp against with random bladestorms making them immune to cc randomly

It literally does that if you have it macrod on your hot bar to form swap and use the ability instead of sitting there for a cool few seconds

As a main resto shaman, this feels bad. Either youre amazing at healing or mediocre thanks to rng. Also, lets say you proc your ancestors and no raid damage is going out..feels bad

pack leader is just disappointing. for BM i expected more dire beast related gameplay and going for the zookeeper theme. for SV they could just lean more into pets by doing something with flanking strike, maybe your pet does some cool shit when you use FotE. also how do they do nothing with stampede? ability been shit for years.

frankly, pack leader being just 1 node, giving you old lynx rush back, would be 100 times better than the dog shit trash it actually is...

yup 90% of players can play dark ranger, and if it remains shitty like it is then 100% of them wont play it at all lol pack leader is boring as fuck. hunter just keeps getting fucked... needs a rework and both hero trees need to be completely redone already. L too bad we can't all be mages and warlocks.

Badly designed class has badly designed tree, the thing with the mages one and the warlock one is they add something to a fairly complex class, while hunters have 3 buttons ofc it'll feel bad when you have your 4th one

Is 4 horseman any different than resto Druid treants? Isn’t it a random spawn that does the same thing as the user at a reduced power?

druid trees are based on an active ability no RNG involved, also the horsemen are powerful enough that they will either spawn in a sequence or there will be an addon to track roughly which one will spawn next so you can plan around them.

Im a RShaman. Shaman tree sucks. Holy Priest have a similar thing and they cant manage to make it relevant since Legion. Recycled ideas from Holy. Nothing unique. Back to being ignored for another expansion if this goes through. I would replace capstone with hydro-bubble. Every X cast of Riptide an ancestor appears and casts a Hydrobuble on someone. Capstone: After expiration it explodes and heals party members by X amount. And damages mobs y Y amount. That is what I would do for Resto.

@@liamdavies2823 RShaman has major design limitations keeping it behind. We dont need more passive healing. And defenetly not tied to RNG. I mean... with out an external or shield, what point is there to more HPS? Changes nothing ! Either way. What RShaman really needs is a rework. And THEN we can talk about the Hero Talents. Holy Priest got a rework for S4. RShamans on the other hand... NADA. We are still stuck with what we got. With 1 spell responsible for most of our throughput. And 50 buttons and talents to buff that 1 spell. Its sad. And I am really disapointed with this. Even MW will get even MORE damage and HPS in M+ than what it has. I think the devs are smoking something. Really.

Joking, in seriousness I agree with you in that rsham needs a huge rework. If it got one that allowed these hero talents to shine, that would be really nice, as I like the idea behind it. But yeah, agree with you

Personally I don't really see how this doesn't fall into convent problem. Sure we don't have the stupid changing problem but when you tie power into character expression I feel like you always lose. It seems highly unlike they can balance it close enough that you can freely pick the one you want because you enjoy that fantasy over the one that is the most powerful. Convenient didn't feel close most of the time.

This is wow. You never really have a choice regardless of class/spec. The perceived meta decides what's best for each situation. It's just the way the game and community are. The choices in the talent tree are also illusion of choice, gotta play what meta says or GTFO.

Theme of DK talents is bis. Gameplay is actual garbage with so much passive stuff

Nah, shammys are being too dramatic. Especially for resto, the bones of this tree are good & the theme of the tree is 100% on point. fix up 2 or 3 of the nodes to make them more interactive & you'll have a great tree on your hands.

Elemental has a bit more of an argument for sure but the resto aspects of this tree seem fine. Just touch up a few things and it might be pretty solid. I can't speak to the elemental side since I don't play it much but primordial wave for Resto seems fine to me.

@@fulltimeshitposter3643But it's not gamba though -- at least not the vast, vast majority of the interaction. The main mechanic is guaranteed: cast Unleash Life & get a spirit to juice your healing & give out a free shield. Theme is great & doubling down on Unleash Life is a really good idea.
