lol you asked if it will go toe to toe with other bikes then showed a KTM no one honestly thinks this thing will hold a candle to ANY KTM right?

I bought a 2023 MT10SP... but I test rode the XSR900 (didn't have an MT09 demo). To be honest, if I wasn't so set on the electronic Ohlins, the XSR/MT09 is absolutely the best bang for buck bike on the market. It was heaps of fun and, if I'm completely honest, I probably felt a little more confident pushing the XSR closer to the edge of its performance capability. They had a really good discount on the MT10 I bought, but if I were paying full retail, it would be MT09 every day of the week. I rode the Gen1 MT09 back in the day and felt at the time the Triumph STR was a better bike, but having ridden the latest Gen XSR, all the quibbles I had with the bike back then have been fixed.

I’ll stick with my Himi Scam 411 for now it’s a mix of both bikes that you’ve just compared and you can pick a new one up for £3699 absolute bargain!

what i would find interesting to know is.. when you say the vibrations with the rubber inlets are bearable. how would you compare it to a old bike like a Bmw r100, Guzzi´s of the 80´s or a Dominator 650. I Come from these old bikes and i´m always a little insecure how much vibrations are really there compared to my bikes.

Cant wait to see next year with the Yamaha and KTM sport bikes. They can''t go to crazy on the prices because of the Panigale V2. Also I think and hope Triumph will realize they have to make some real sport bike soon because the Daytona thing bring nothing to the table with bikes like Aprilia RS660 as competition. Missed chance for Triumph, should of go with the 765 engine.

Would love a striped down version like the mt07 would be cheaper too. Would gladly trade electric features for cheaper pricing

Current price for Hanle Black here in Germany is Euro 6,150 including delivery. That's 5,295 pounds Sterling! UK price premium is about 15-20% I guess?

The Triumph, even though a great bike, it is a "showing off" trail bike. The RE is a serious off road machine. No discussion about it.

I agree about styling. The triumph is a very cool looking bike. But as an Interceptor owner, it doesn’t do enough different than what I already have, so I’d be most likely to go with the Himalayan as an addition to my stable, and neither if I was just looking to own one bike.

You sure do like your techie gadgets, Bob. I think if you ever had to use an actual paper atlas to find your way or a phone book to find a phone number, you'd keel over and have to be carried away on a stretcher.

Got mine a few months ago. I’ve dropped my phone about 30 times. I’ve replace 3 screen protectors. The case is very smooth and has no grip lines or pocks. Crazy slick. It functions well when connected. If I didn’t pay for screen protection I would be out $135 in screen protecters. I cut notches in it with a knife.

I would choose the Himalayan, but it didn't arrive here where I live yet and should take long to arrive. So, I bought the Scrambler. RE downside is timing.

Having owned (still do the Thruxton R) a Speed Twin and an Interceptor 650 I went for the Himmy 450 over the Triumph 400. It was close but I wanted the slightly more rugged and simple looks of the RE450 No regrets thus far. Over here in Australia the roadside assist package helps as well.

Is this bike geared tall enough? A problem with most motorcycles is that you're always searching for another gear because they are geared to cruise at 55mph, not 80mph. In the U.S., the Interstate is 80mph.

I think RE has nailed it with this HIMALAYAN in every aspect. On d refinement side I disagree with you as I like some sort of vibration in bike,it gives a bit of character to it which keeps you engaged to raiding.waiting for GAURELLA den take a call which one to go for.
