  They really couldn’t help themselves. My jaw hit the floor when the elevator paused to ask if I’d really like to throw more boxes. Did they actually play test this? Who thought this was fun?

  Wow, im only a year late to the party for this review haha. I'm the developer of this game and wanted to say thank you SO much for the comments dude, i REALLY appreciate it!   All they need to do is make WoW with better graphics and people will go mad for it because no one has tried since.... Every single attempt at an MMO has forgotten the world is the most important part. I can play Project 1999 and WoW and they feel like the same game, but nothing else feels anything like them.

  Great stuff. As far as the Summoner being able to summon weapons and portals ,is that still in the game design do you know for sure?? Having played one now, I will say that it is an extremely fun class. The Titan is a BEAST. It's OP...lol. It allows you to keep two seperate kills going at once via you kill one with Rock spell,while your Titan pet holds the other at bay and slowly kills it also. This class is going to be SO much fun at high levels. So glad I upgraded from Supporter to Champion.

  I remember the Wailing Caves and then seeing the Wailing Caverns in WoW and it's like..... This is why EQ2 sucks lol. WoW had these amazing dungeons for every single one of them and even the best ones in EQ2 couldn't compete with a level 20 Dead Mines dungeon, let alone anything higher than that. It was a shame because the quality of the city content was really high and then in the world it all falls apart. Hearing they had to make all the content in 11 months really explains that though.

  Shadowknights are amazing in EQ2 even more so then on EQ1,I tried Paladin is was very underwhelming,so I betrayed on my paladin and switched,glad I did.

  Nathan - just curious if you know or can make a video about the Flora improvements you can do in EQ2, among other performance & gfx improvement tips. Here's the 3 big ones, if you aren't aware: There's two commands you can type in-game which really improve the environments and make them MUCH closer to the beauty of LOTRO, rather than the sparse ground of default EQ2. "/r_flora_radius_scale #" "/r_flora_density_scale #" I set mine to 2 & 3. So in chat, I type "/r_flora_radius_scale 2" "/r_flora_density_scale 3" I prefer 14 density, but 3 is about as high as I can go without the grass billboards changing too much. But if you don't mind that, set it as high as you want. I received no performance drop even when I set it as high as 20 on density. Radius is the distance from your character the Flora spawns. Density is how thick the Flora is. This setting transcends the options slider, which maxes out way too low. Oldschool Tip: Set Anisotropic filtering (AF) to x16 in your NVIDIA/AMD control panel. This has always drastically improved texture clarity for EQ2. This option does not exist in the game's menu, so must be done in the Graphics Card control panel on your PC. New Tip: In 2023, the devs added a Hardware option for newer Intel CPU's. If you have a 11th, 12th, 13th, or any CPU that uses E-Cores, you need to goto OPTIONS->HARDWARE and set that option's number to much lower. I have 6 physical cores (12 theads) and 4 e-cores, so I set mine to 11 (0 counts as 1, so 11 = 12). This gives a 50% boost to FPS. Also just to note, I have found disabling E-Cores to improve other classic games. I gained a 20fps boost in LOTRO by going into my bios to disable E-Cores entirely, because it lacks this EQ2 option. However you don't need to do that with EQ2 bc they added this feature, which is great!

  Frogloks were unlocked in EQ2 for eveyone on the server by completing the quest that ends with finishing the spirits of the lost raid instance.

  Would you say the current version of the game is better than the original? After 20 years of improvement I'd imagine it is night and day and the current version is miles better. Is that the case?

  In tons of cases on this server it is better : it runs better and can handle the amount of players better, there were some features that were in the original that still aren't in this version : but the spirit of classic MMOs is here : grouping and classes mattering and it's a joy

  I borderline think someone should be fired for letting this section make it to the final product. This game needed roller skates after Cosmo Canyon. Absolutely horrible choice. I hate to admit it, but as much as i love this game.. Its quirks are really starting to rub me the wrong way.

  Are you sure the classes should stay the same? Pretty sure Warrior class sucked balls. And besides that, I think there is a way to avoid instances. Such as not being eligible for loot for spamming raid bosses or something.

  Yeah the new Zelda looks kinda meh. I haven't played FFXIV in years. I don't even remember my account info lol. Had a Black Mage with the meteor staff or w/e it was called. Community was super friendly, and i loved the crafting and story. Might have to go back if i can remember my info lol. Unrelated but have you seen the gameplay trailer for Silent Hill 2 remake. I love the look of the town, they hired a DEI company though and already pissing people off with changes to Maria and Laura lol. Mods can fix that though.
