Same i cant throw the box at the pipe it made me stop playing i put in 12 hours up until that point

shinra manor went from a creepy manor with horrors inside to becoming a crate puzzle game and fighting as caith sith alone, truly a horror.

The devs probably thought that the manor was not large enough for many of these fights. Also, Cait Sith is not in the party for a long time, and they had to give him his moment to shine somewhere. This makes me hope that they make Cid and Vincent available quickly in REMAKE PART 3.

@@stanislavkimov2779 Agreed 💯, one of the reasons why I took a break from it, I left off at the endgame. The filler and mini games detracted unnecessarily from an overall great Final Fantasy experience.

i was so excited to play as cat sith! that excitement wore off very quickly…

They made the box throwing mechanic way harder than it had to be. Every other game has a throwing mechanic that's really intuitive

​@@ryuuotaku35 Yes it is, it gives you a collectible and is the only chapter you can obtain it for the silly Johnny's wall. You can't repeat it unless you save the game previously or via autosave before de elevator.... have fun xD

Omg the controls for aiming were a MESS.

The fact that barret has a gun arm and doesn't use it makes this whole puzzle section just annoying and unnecessary hard.

This section was nice to play as Cait Sith, but whoever designed the box puzzles must’ve designed been a masochist at heart. I’m as stubborn as they come, so I don’t like having to look up tutorials. I’m kicking myself for having to do this, but I appreciate this guide. Thank you.

@djstuntfox Chocokings cape (if you got it) first strike materia and atb boost materia. Soon as the fight starts use both atb bars to Firaga or Thunderaga( I forgot their weakness but Firaga is fool proof anyway) after that you on your own 😂 but it shouldn't be too difficult after that cuz they should be stunlocked. Add Magic up materia too if you got it

Thank you! I was starting to get pissed off cause I couldnt figure out what "weight sensitive elevator" it was talking about. I thought I had to take another duct up another floor or something.

I have a huge Problem here. I never did Fights with this Character and die everytime because I can't go around Some enemies. I have no idea how I ever will be able to go thought this Part... Edit: turns out it was a Bug. I did manage it when I reloaded the Level.

I come here just to share my pain...

Is there any use for the boxes in the boss room, since there is a switch for it? Also I accidentally jumped down after the boss fight and had to throw another 3 boxes on the elevator to get up again, lmao... i was pissed.

Can you retry the elevator boxes minigame? Is it worth it?

How do you retry the 10 box mini game? I went down then back up and it just goes all the way up

I’ve heard a lot of complaints about the Yin and Yang boss, but I thought it was okay. Only took me two tries, and I only died because I wasn’t prepared for “Yang Takes Aim.” A pair of Revival Earrings negated that issue the second time. This box throwing puzzle stuff was truly… just not fun at all. I’m not sure what the developers were thinking. Wouldn’t have been so bad I guess if the mechanic wasn’t so uncomfortable to use.

Same. I’m replaying it on hard mode and it’s literally worse than any boss battle i’ve played so far. Plus, there’s another solo boss battle straight after cry😢

This part is especially fun when your game is bugged and you only have 50 hp and the only way to go back is to restart the entire cait with section right when you get to the end

That's not a bug, you equipped the materia that switches HP and mp which can be found in this area. Section still sucks though.

This game has too many of these mandatory mini games. It’s absurd. Totally lost a ton of replayability because of it. Each time, they take me right out of the immersion of the game. Did they even play them before releasing it because they work like shit. 9/10 my hole. It’s ironically a 7/10. Need less of this BS in the final instalment.

Thanks for making this, they made some things very unclear. I actually don’t mind playing as Cait Sith but when he’s the only party member you have you’re pretty limited. Definitely the low point of the game for me.

Once you beat the game and do a new game plus you can have them wear any of their outfits anywhere

This segment wasnt even that bad compared to so many of the minigames in this game. My only issue was the box minigame to get the Fat Moogle Plusg because the aiming isnt the best but that was the only time this segment pushed my buttons. Yall freaking out too much.

I can't get the red aiming line to go where I want it to go no matter how much I turn the left joy stick!! I'm on easy mode! This is easy????????? I just keep thinking that I paid 95 dollars for this torture!! OMG what a joke!! No wonder sales are going down!! Thank you for this guide, I will keep trying to follow it. I'm on the accelerant distribution where you have to throw a box into the revolving funnel and you make it look so easy.

If youre still struggling, turn on touch pad mode. Its still ass, but lets you aim higher.

10:58 wow I was wandering around for like 10mins trying to figure out what the game wanted me to do. I thought I just needed to dispense a bunch of boxes on the thing that they drop out of. I had no idea I had to throw them over the railing… also I hate the throwing mechanics. Who thought that was a good idea?? Also that fight with those two flying scale fiends (idr what they’re called) was very annoying too. I had to fight them 3 times before I finally got past it. They’re really obnoxious to fight with just Cait Sith because of that one attack labeled “???” That will wipe your health out almost completely.

That boss kick my ass EVERY TIME I can’t even survive 2 minutes. That’s all I’m having trouble with

I loved whenever I was forced to play as other members, cause I quickly am served a reminder that every party member is fucking awesome! I obviously switch off of Cloud in every battle but played as Cloud majority of the time. So I loved that I was locked as Cat Sith being the leader here…….. but the excitement quickly wore off. This was extremely annoying.

This game has been testing my patience from the get go. So many moments where I wanted to switch it off. Without this, I think I'd take my PS5 for a bath. Thank you.

the only reason i didnt rage quit this stupid quest was because i wanted to play QB with Vincent eventually :D

I skipped the whole video till 8:15 and as soon as he said it's red I got the info I needed and became very mad

I think that’s the code to open the safe from the original game.

Honestly the boxes don’t bother me at all, the combat sections towards the end with just cait feel a little difficult, but this section of the game isn’t as bad as people make it out to be.

Somewhere out there, there’s a product person, feeling like this entire sequence was the best thing since sliced bread and that every player was going to love it.

After you beat the game you can wear whatever on any subsequent playthroughs. The developers didn't want the serious moments ruined the first time with Tifa's chest hanging out the whole time and Cloud wearing swimming trunks.

Yeah in cutscenes or cgi they will always be wearing their original outfit, so first playthrough only lets you choose in Cosa Del Sol, but after you beat the game you can wear any of the costumes any time you want

Yea this wasnt too bad until you have to throw more boxes at something just for it not to work. They overdid it, and it was frustrating.

This game isn't 100% Gongaga and this prove that

Mini game is needed for johnny 100% get a stuffed toy for the hotel (if you get all 10, and game will end once u get it)

Once you’ve beaten the game you can replay wearing any costume by going to Costa Del Sol and changing and they’ll stay in the ones you pick

Lol at this point I think the FF devs do this on purpose. Theres aways one part that everybody completely agrees on that sucks in FF games. The labyrinth in XV when you only had that stupid ring, and the lost woods type stuff in Zodiac Age

I'm about to giveup on finishing this game. I'm 75 hours and in this very part. The game from Gongaga to this part has been aweful. Plus all the bloat in the game with the same Scan rocks, activate antenas, scan more rocks to powerup summons, and keep pressing hundreds of time triangle to pickup materias is feeling like a shore. The controls and combat in thia area with Caith feel so bad, like you are not even playing. End of story, I don't see myself replaying this game again and may even sell it before its value drops.

The one part I want to see is edited out. Smh I don't know how I got through this on normal let alone trying to do it on hard. Gah...
